Factory Direct

The installers from Factory Direct Home Improvement came out and took out the old windows on my rental, and put in new windows. They also wrapped additional windows with custom trim. I was very satisfied with their work. I would definitely use this this company again in the future as I have done before.

Overall, it went good. Other companies were not as courteous as Factory Direct Home Improvement. They even responded to an issue I had with the windows, and set up service with the manufacturer. Service was taken care of by the manufacturer within a week. I am very happy!!

It went well, pretty easy overall. The installers were focused on completing the job, and finished replacing all 7 windows, in 6 hours. They were very courteous.

They came out to our home around 10:30am Thursday, and they were finished by 5:00pm with the windows. They came back the next day, to do the patio door, and that only took a few hours. Our overall experience in regards to price, quality, responsiveness, punctuality, and professionalism was an A+, we will call Factory Direct again for our next project.

They did a good job, I was very satisfied with the outcome. The installers were focused on completing the job, and stayed late until it was finished. That's what I call good customer service!

Steffan was very helpful. He took the time to explain some options to me. I wasn't around for the entire installation, but I am completely satisfied with the outcome. They did not try to sell me on replacing all my windows. I wanted to replace the two that needed to be replaced at this time and the others when needed.

I requested Mike and Tim, the installers I had last time to come back out and install the windows, since they did such a great job the last time. They did a great job on this property too! If I ever need anything else done on my home, I know who to call.

They came in and installed my new windows, and took away the old beat up windows. I could tell the difference almost instantly. I'm glad I replaced them before the summer heat and now the winter. I would use Factory Direct again, they did a fantastic job!

Mike and Tim, were the installers who came out to install the windows. The installers cleaned up after themselves. They helped to remove and replace items in front of the windows. The windows look great! Thanks!

We called Factory Direct Home Improvement for an estimate, we bought windows and put down a down payment for the windows to be ordered. We were told it may take awhile to get them back, because of the custom color, but once they came in they were installed. Installation only took 3 hours. The installers were great, it was just an overall great experience!!

We called Factory Direct, they came out to give us an estimate. We received such a great price we decided to move forward with the new windows. We ordered the windows and they were installed. The installers were great, they had over 25 years of experience which makes a huge difference. Thank you!!

I found Factory Direct Home Improvement in an ad that arrived at my home, they came out, and gave me a great deal on windows. They even corrected a crooked uneven opening. The installers were amazing! My overall experience with Factory Direct Home Improvement is an A+!!a

They came out and showed me the windows. I thought they were great! I put 50% down, there was an issue with J-Channel, gut it was taken care of. I am extremely satisfied with the windows!

The guys that came out to do my installation from Factory Direct Home Improvement of Indianapolis were great. They took the old nasty windows away and put in the new ones. I am extremely happy with my windows. I would use them again and again!

I was very pleased with the windows. The installers were great, and it took no time to get the window installed...They cleaned up and took away the old window too.

They came out took away the old, ugly, rotted wood windows, and replaced them with more energy efficient windows. Our house looks a lot better...Even though our A/C went out, our windows work extremely well! I would use Factory Direct for everything. We're gonna get our roof replaced next spring, they'll be the only company I'll be calling.

They came out and installed 10 windows for us. The installers were great! We don't have to worry about energy escaping anymore. The install date was delayed a few days due to a holiday, 100+ degree days, but other than that , it was great! I would use this company again in the future.

We called Factory Direct and set up an appointment. Steffan gave me a great estimate on replacing my windows. I had to adjust the installation, because of my vacation. They told me it would take 2 days, and it did! The installers were great and cleaned up after the windows were installed.

I am extremely happy with my windows, the work completed, and the company, especially Steffan, the office manager. I would recommend them to anyone. As a matter of fact, when I'm ready to do the rest of my windows, they will be the only company I'll be calling.

I am a small business owner and I am a consumer so I know both side of dealing with customer and the public. I also know there is two sides to every story. This is my review of Factory Direct Home Improvement. In early May we contacted several companies via Angie?s List to receive quotes on replacing new windows in our home. One company we called was Factory Direct Home Improvement. We called them because they had a promotion for 7 windows for one price. The Presentation: We set up an appointment and there manager Stefan came out to show us there presentation. We informed him about the promotional flyer we had from there company. Stefan proceeded to tell us that the promotion on the flyer had a bunch of exclusion. We question him on it and told him that nowhere on the sheet did it say anything about exclusions. He told me that there was not enough room on the sheet to print that information. I negotiated a reasonable price for the 7 window and the install. We signed the contract and paid half down. Stefan could not provide me with a receipt at that time but he said he would email me in a few days. I told Stefan to email us the receipt and the paperwork. It took several phone calls for us to reach Stefan. Each time, Stefan told me he would call us back, he never did. I was the one calling him over and over. The Customer Service: Each time we called, it was one excuse after another. Stefan even told me he was too busy to deal with my issues. If your that busy, hire more people, If your that rude, you should not be working with the public. The Install: We were told that the windows would take up to four weeks to produce. Once the windows were in, they would call me to schedule the installation of the new windows. We waited five weeks and then called Factory Direct to see what the status was on the install. We again talked to Stefan and he told me that the windows were in and he would call me back to schedule. One week later, he still had not called back. I called again and got someone else on the phone (unable to get his name) I told him why I was calling and he was rude and told me that Stefan Would call me the next day to schedule. Mid Afternoon the next day, I called and spoke with Nathan who told me that the windows were going to be installed the next Monday at 9am. He didn?t even give me an option to schedule them on any other day or time. The install was long, 6 hours but the installers were really nice and professional. The answered any and all of my questions. Once the windows were installed, one of the installers pointed out a small chip in my new window. He told me that he is going to write it up and that the office would call me about the damaged window. I waited, to see if they would call me about the chip. I waited three weeks and no phone call. I called the office and spoke to Stefan again about my damaged window. He told me that he would see what was going on with the replacement and call me right back. To my surprise, no returned call from Stefan. The next day I received a call on my voicemail from the manufacture, Polaris, about the damaged window. They told me that they just received an order that day for the replacement glass. I called Polaris back and they told me that it would take 2 weeks to order the glass and then they would install. I told the lady that I found it weird I was dealing with the manufacture and not the person I bought it from. The girl at Polaris agreed Within a week, my replacement window was complete and they installed it in a matter of ten minutes. In Closing: Price: The windows I received were good for the price we paid. However, I felt that there advertisement was shady and when I was told that they couldn?t put a disclaimer on their ads, I was baffled. Quality: So far the products good. We did have the chip in the window but it was taken care of and we are supposed to have a lifetime warranty. Responsiveness: I think that there sales staff and management needs a less on customer service and how to treat a customer. They don?t return calls. When you do reach them, they tell you that they will call you back and they don?t. Punctuality: My windows were done for over a week and no one called me to tell me. I had to call several time for them to respond to me. And then when my glass was damaged they did nothing until I kept calling them. Professionalism: They are rude, the false advertise and then they lie to you. I would not trust these guys. ***UPDATE 9/20/2012*** I received a call from the General Manager, Nathan in response to an Angie's list rating I posted on this company. Nathan must have not been upset with my review as he contacted me via phone on 9/19/2012 @ 4:34pm. Immediately, he began yelling at me, calling me an "As* Hole" and a "F****. He told me what goes around comes around and "If I were a man, I should come down there and he take me on" Nathan threatened me with physical violence. I told Nathan, that his actions are the exact reason why I wrote the review. How this company has good review on Angie?s lists fools me. This company should not be trusted. This is MY Option and MY experience. Use them if you would like, but I would not trust this company!!!!! The following is an email I sent to the company in response to the threatening phone calls I received. You can also see how they respond to me. It is a small glimpse on how they handle customer. Nathan has lied about the following; ?We noticed Kevin Smith's hostility towards us when he approached us about painting windows? ?We informed Kevin Smith that all windows, that receive custom paint, are always completed by the manufacture, and is our policy, due to the fact that it would void the manufacturer's warranty. The manufacturer warranties all custom painted windows for 20 years, and we would not have it any other way, due to the special paint process that last for many years.? I have never once asked, inquired, demanded or approached ANY PERSON at this company about painting window. I purchased 7 new windows from my home in white vinyl. If I wanted them another color, I would have ordered them that way. The only person I have even talked to face to face was the salesman upon buying the windows. Nathan has also lied to Angie?s List. After reading my original review, he told Angie?s List that I had never done business with his company. Thanks again for your assistance. Finally, Factory Direct Home Improvement has hundreds of reviews. Most of their reviews are great. I am glad that a lot of people have had good service from them. I honestly tried to write my own account of what happened. Nathan took that as an attack and began to slandering me, threatening me and lying about what happen to make his company look better. If this was my company, I would written a professional response and then let it go. But Nathan can't let it go!

It went fairly well. Took a month to get the windows scheduled to be installed but the install went well and took only 1 day. I am still waiting ( 3+ weeks) on a repair on one of the windows that has a foot long. horseshoe shaped, scratch on it and that same window does not open or close without a huge amount of effort. I also had to go online to learn how to properly clean double hung windows (since these are my first). A short demo when installed or by the salesman would have been helpful. I would suggest that the installers take an extra minute and clean the windows when they install them. I was unable to clean them for two days after install so caulking could dry properly. Therefore, I had to show dirty, sweat smeared windows to my friends and neighbors that came to see them. Also had issues as to when the installer was to come out. There was miss communication between the installers and the salesman. We waited an entire day and then we were told he would be there the following day instead. I would also suggest writing a check instead of using debit card as mine was double charged and it took a week, and several phone calls, to fix. They said it was not an error on their side and my bank said the same thing. Writing a check, for the second half of the payment, went without a hitch.

I spent quite a bit of time researching for contractors and was impressed with the reviews received on Angie's List for this company. I was very pleased with the overall experience from the first phone call all the way thru to the completion of the installation of my new windows. Prompt, courteous service. Good quality product for a very fair price. Would definately recommend them to friends and will use them for future projects.

They did everything as advertised. They did a great job. When they were done, there wasn't a nail left in the ground. In the past, they have done roofing, a window, and a door. The price was quite reasonable.

This is a rental and it's an older home. I've been doing lots of shopping with many of the local window companies in the area. The consultant from Factory Direct came out and did a great job helping me. After the windows were installed, we did a final walk through at the end...My renter is very Happy!!!

I called Pella first and they told me the cost would be $3,000, Factory Direct Home Improvement was very competitive and they did everything they told me that would be done. The windows were installed very well and the overall experience I would have to give them an A. I may even replace my old french doors with a new sliding glass patio door in the very near future and I will use this company again in the future too. Thanks
