Factory Direct

Factory Direct did a very fine job! The installer missed a small area where the window needed to be caulked and when I called they came back out immediately to take care of it. It was an honest mistake that anyone could have made. I am very pleased with my windows and the service of Factory Direct. A++

I am real happy with how the windows turned out and the final price that we paid. I will be wanting Factory Direct to come out again soon for more improvement and more windows in the future. Our home looks really good and the installers did very well! I researched over 5 window companies and Factory Direct carried the exact same windows of each of those companies. I love the fact that they had such a wide range of windows to choose from. Thank you!

There was a small crack in the glass of one of the windows that we noticed. Factory Direct replaced it with in a week. We love it when a company does good business and takes care any issue that comes up. The installer were very nice and friendly and they provided us with super service. From start to finish Factory Direct did a great job! The price was wonderful and quality just couldn't be beat. We know the window manufacturer has a great warranty due to the fact we have already had to call them once for the cracked glass and they came right out took care of the window. We've also noticed a big difference in sound reduction as well. Super job!!!

Overall it went great! I was impressed especially with the installer. Couldn't believe he did it alone and what a great job he did. Very Happy!!! A+

Our consultant that came out was very nice and knowledgable. The installer was friendly and had a lot of experience. They cleaned up very well after they were finished. We can already tell a huge difference. The heat was kept out over the summer. Before the AC would kick on and off a lot and now is it's much less than usual.

Overall the entire project was great. Wonderful consultant & installers. Our sliding door was a difficult one (never sat flush) but Factory Direct installers were able to correct the issue & install the patio door perfectly. What a difference, very happy with the price, quality, responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism. Recommended to two co-workers.

The representative was knowledgable and helpful as well as the professionalism from the installers. They answered any questions that I had along the way. All the reviews that actually had services performed by Factory Direct were all A+ reviews. We also compared price and quality, Factory Direct beat every company out there hands down when came to price and quality. The only company that even came close was company that only offered one type of windows and they a had a B rating here on Angie's List. The other big deciding factor was the vast variety of different windows manufacturers that they had available. The installation of new went really well, Mike and Tim installed them and we found out Mike has over 30 years experience installing windows. You could tell a huge difference between our windows and our neighbors when it came to craftsmanship these guys took their time. We got exactly what we wanted!

They advertised a deal for 7 windows completely installed with Argon and free marble window sills. When they got here and preformed the estimate there price doubled and then,the free window that they advertised for a garden window would not work in my house, because it had to be a particular size. I gave them $1600 upfront as down payment in cash. I canceled the order last week and they told me a it would take a month to get my money back. UPDATE: They got in contact with me on Tuesday and explained that it will be another 2 weeks for me to get my refund he did mention it could take up to 30 business days normally but they are going to get it to me within the 2 weeks. They said I would have to come up to their offices to sign off to get the refund check rather then them sending it in the mail. I have the ad still and what they responded was not what the ad states. UPDATE 2 I spoke with Nathan from Factory Direct who informed me that the refund would take 30 business days to get to me. When I mentioned to him I was disabled and the process would be difficult for me, I was told by the rep that "I'm glad you're disabled", he then hung up on me.

The installers were extremely nice, professional, and very clean. We are very happy with our choice of windows and Factory Direct. Dave, the office manager took really good care of us and helped us along the way throughout the entire process. They had the best price and products out of all the companies that we looked at, and showed a willingness to beat any quote that we gave them. Great experience here and we would use Factory Direct again in the future.

It seems we had a very similar experience with the office manager, Dave. He came to provide the estimate because he said the other estimator was tied up with another appointment, so he basically let us know he was doing us a favor. The estimate itself took an unreasonable amount of time. I believe he was at our home well over an hour, but he would go out to his truck and not come back for 10 minutes, taking calls. If I am the customer you are serving, your attention should be on me, not answering your phone. He also said he could beat any other estimate by 10-60%, but only if we give him the other company's paperwork. I understand wanting to compare apples to apples, but just give me your best price. More than once he told us he wasn't just trying to make a sale, he was trying to "help" us. Come on - this isn't missionary work. It's a window sale. Everyone deserves to make a profit, so don't try to disguise it as something it isn't. We finally, against our better judgement, gave him the Window World estimate and he said he would get back to us with a better price. He was sure to tell us that the WW windows were inferior to what he could sell us. Six days later we have yet to hear from him at all. Not interested in doing business with them at all anymore.

The installers did great work. They were on time and very clean as well. I live in very nice neighborhood that we all like to keep updated, so I was not sure at first about this project. I wanted to make sure I bought the right windows that would last for the next 35 years or longer. After a lot of research and 6 different window companies, we choose Factory Direct. The installer had over 30 years of experience...He was a little slow, but his attention to detail was phenomenal!!! I would much rather a this type of an install than a fast and sloppy one. We made the right decision.

Dave Raymond, office manager, dropped by my home to give me an estimate to replace 4 windows. He first asked me if I had any other estimates and I told him Window World gave me one the day before. He told me they don't finish the job without charging me for trim work, that there would be a large gap open that would need to be filled in with loads of caulk. Then he had a long phone call that interupted our appointment. After awhile he came back in and quickly scribbled some figures on a brochure paper (the bottom of which said "We'll beat any written quote by 10 to 60%!!!", gave me his price $2,330. I mentioned that his price was $600 more than Window Worlds. He asked me to email him their invoice. He said he would present it to his boss for approval. I emailed it to him the next day (Thursday). As I hadn't heard back from him by the end of the day the following Tuesday I emailed him again. I told him that 3 full workdays had passed and that if I didn't hear from him by the end of the 4th day (Wednesday) that I would have Window World do the job. Today (Thursday) I called Window World & told them to do the job. I chose Factory Direct as an alternative because of their A rating. It was a waste of my time.

GREAT! Always called ahead of time, great work, and very meticulous. I was AMAZED at the professionalism involved, and care given by the installers and Factory Direct as a whole. I would use this company again in the future...

The service was not very good at all.

I have now given this a year before writing it so as to be able to judge the products properly. We initially had downstairs windows installed and then we were persuaded to have insulation installed too. They were punctual and professional and did a good job of cleaning up after they had finished. The windows are a good cheap window for the price. The promise on the insulation was that it would reduce our heating bills by a considerable amount. Now considering that we have had a milder winter this year, this has not been the case. They have insulatesd all horizontal roof spaces but left vertical walls uninsulated. So how is that supposed to keep the heat in? Watch out for them on this and be sure you know what you are paying for. The product itself seems good enough but without completely covering the walls of a room that encroaches on to a loft space, you cannot insulate it sufficiently. I would have expected them to know this or if they did, to have pointed it out.

I ended up getting 10 windows all together and the patio glass door. This was the best project I have done to my home, I am so happy with them! The windows are absolutely beautiful and add so much to the look of my home! They installed these in the freezing cold and in just two days! I am also very satisfied with the patio as it much lighter than my old one and the look is great as well!

Poorly. I won't recommend them.

I would never use a company that uses Bait and Switch methods when doing business. To double the price between the estimate and contact is not ethical way of doing business.
