Factory Direct

We had a total of 20 windows to replace and wanted to break the window project up, doing 10 windows in one phase and then the other 10 windows a few months later for the 2nd phase. Factory Direct was accommodating with this request and didn't pressure me at all. Another company I had out wasn't too keen on my idea of two different phases and the salesman kept preesuring me to "just do them all at once". Factory Direct not only was very understanding but they assured me I would have the exact same installation crew for both phases. All 20 windows have been installed (the final 10 were installed last week) and our first set did great during the harsh winter we had. I am excited we chose this company and all turned out so well.

Very customer service oriented company. Everyone that I dealt with was friendly and accommodating. Although I did wait a week and a half for my appointment, it was worth it. I had three other companies out before them and Factory Direct's quote was $500 less the cheapest quote I had received. My consultant was Dave and he was great. He stayed in constant communication with me and even checked in after my windows were installed to make sure I was 100% happy. Installers were great guys too and I learned from them that they had been installing windows for 20 plus years. You could tell they took pride in their work. Overall, my wife and I are extremely happy.

I did extensive research on all the local window companies in the area and definitely felt like Factory Direct was very transparent and the most upfront about everything when it came to replacing our windows. They explained everything about the install process and answered all my questions. Also, they were the only company that lists their prices on their advertisements. I am happy to report that what they list is in fact the price I received. I was worried about extra charges and add-ons but there weren't any. We did half of our windows this past March but plan to use them again for the other half at the end of summer.

I have several investment properties in the North side of Indy and around the Carmel area. I have now used Factory Direct twice to update two of those properties. Since budget and timelines are extremely important to me, I was happy to find a company that stuck to doing exactly what they said they would. The prices were fair and there was no haggling which in the end saves me time and money. Direct and straight forward is what I appreciate. They definitely have the shortest lead time in the industry as well.

I would highly recommend Factory Direct. I have had several quotes over the years to replace our old wood windows and it was always way out of our price range. But not with Factory Direct. I never felt pressured to make a decision. They just gave me a quote and said let us know when you are ready. No hidden fees. I love my new windows!!!! The installation team was very friendly and professional.

We had Factory Direct at our home over a year ago and we were ready to purchase immediately. I felt comfortable with our salesperson, John. He was very helpful and gave me great information but I had an unfortunate family issue come up and I was unable to move forward with my windows. John was very kind and understanding and told me to call back when ready and that he would take good care of me again. A whole year went by and I was finally able to save up enough again. I called John in September and he remembered me. He did exactly as he said he would and that’s why I am writing this review. Very good people work here and they take pride in their work. My new windows have been installed and I am very happy with the final outcome.

Just as another reviewer mentioned, you cannot beat their prices. I checked out 4 local companies just to make certain and sure enough Factory Direct was the best. I also felt that of all the other companies that came out they were the most professional. I asked some technical and very specific questions about the installation process and only the factory direct salesperson was able to answer things easily. You could tell he had been on many projects and was very knowledgeable. I won’t name names but I had one salesperson from a different window company actually tell me he wasn’t sure how to answer my questions since it was his first week and up until now he had been working at Steak n Shake. I’m all for giving people a try and everyone needs to start somewhere but I wasn’t going to take a chance on my windows when the other company was hands down superior. Just hope this review helps someone save some time in their research efforts.

They were prompt, professional and offered a good price. The work was done well. It's been a few months and the windows are great. Two cautions. First is walk around the house after they are done but before they leave. After they were gone I found a window frame lying in the yard that they forgot to clean up. No big deal to clean up tho. Also check all the windows to make sure they stay open before the workers leave. We discovered after they left that one of the windows has a problem staying open. They offered to come out and fix it. They told us it probably is just a matter of reconnecting a spring. But we kept forgetting to schedule it so it never got done. But that was on us.

Very fine window selection at affordable prices. They also have very helpful employees that are kind and patient. This is nice especially for an older person like myself that is not comfortable with technology and would rather talk to someone face to face and ask questions rather than over the computer.

We were referred to Factory Direct by a family friend who had a good experience with them last year. I trusted their recommendation and so I only checked out one other company. Factory Direct’s quote was thousands of dollars less than the other company so going with Factory Direct was a no brainer. Installers were great and financing was easy. I am glad my friend recommended the company and I too would highly recommend them.

Decided to call after seeing their company billboard on my way to work and I was glad I did. We purchased our windows at exactly the amount that was advertised and they were able to have them installed in several weeks. This was much sooner than the other local company we talked to which they stated "6 to 12 weeks". We have gotten many compliments from our neighbors and we are completely happy.

I originally had Factory Direct come to my home in the fall of 2017. Although I wanted to purchase my windows at that time, several home repairs came up and I didn't have it in the budget to do at that time. Fast forward to Spring 2018. I called them back excited to finally move forward. All of the Factory Direct associates I have dealt with were great. My previous sales guy had since retired but they had another wonderful female consultant come out and she took great care of me! I will post pictures of my new beautiful windows as soon as my landscaping looks as good as my new windows, which will hopefully be very soon!

Factory Direct was very customer service oriented and they did have a lot of quality products to choose from. I was hoping for a more economical price for my windows especially since we were on a strict budget but overall I was happy.

I was looking for a very specific window that was energy efficient but was not the standard white on white window. I wanted a white interior but brown exterior. Also, I had a very intricate grid pattern in mind that was not the typical pattern you usually see on windows. I looked everywhere and called numerous companies to no avail. Finally, I saw a billboard for Factory Direct near work and gave them a call. I was shocked to find that not only were they able to get me the exact window I wanted, they were going to be able to install them in less weeks than everyone else was going to be able to, mind you these other windows were not even my "ideal" window just a window as close as they could get. Factory Direct installed my windows yesterday and they are breathtaking. My vision of what I wanted my home to look like and how the windows turned out were perfect. I rarely write reviews but I had to this time given how happy I am with how everything turned out.

The process of purchasing new windows and a patio door went very well and I felt it was overall very easy. The installation of the windows and patio door also went smoothly. I had a father and son team and they did a very fine job. I have referred them to a neighbor and my sister too.

This was the second time I have used Factory Direct and they took great care of me just like the first time when I used them for a rental property. This particular job was on my actual home that I reside in and so I choose a higher end window. Mike was my installer and he did a fantastic job. I had double hung windows, a transom window, and a patio door all replaced.

It went great. Like most people today, I am super busy. Kids, work, and life in general take up all my time. I was not looking forward to replacing our homes windows because I assumed it would be a huge hassle. Scheduling appointments, meeting with salespeople, and doing the whole song and dance of negotiating was something I was dreading. I had one company come out in the end of November and just as I suspected, it was terrible. The guy was at my home for over 2 hours and did the typical pushy sales tactic, "if you buy today." I put my new windows on hold for the next two months. Just as I was gathering the courage to start up the process again, I saw that Factory Direct sells windows online. I filled out the form with everything that I wanted and right then and there my total amount was given. No negotiating, just straight to the point my total for the windows (did I mention they were 3K dollars less than the quote I received in Nov). They called the next day to go over my project and I scheduled an appointment the day after that for a representative to come out to my home to bring a sample window and take measurements. I will admit, I was a bit worried that they would try and charge me after the fact for something more, but that never happened. I paid exactly what was online that first time and that's it. This may not be the way for all people to purchase windows but for the busy professional/mom whose husband is always traveling, it was perfect. My windows are great and the installation of them went perfect too. I am extremely happy with Factory Direct and wished I would have done this sooner.

Factory Direct has very knowledgeable consultants and they are a pleasure to have in your home. After appointments with three other local window companies, I did not want another pushy "used car sales man" type in my home and it was a breath of fresh air when my consultant Stephen came out. He truly listened to what I wanted, rather than force a certain window my way and he told me to "take my time" which was the complete opposite of everyone else who told me that I had to buy today or the price was changing. Choosing Factory Direct was an easy decision and my windows that were installed exactly 3 days ago look terrific.

I was referred to Factory Direct from the neighbor three houses down. She explained that she was well taken care of and she had given them a quote from another window company, which they beat the price by a little less than 1K. I decided to call them and ultimately purchased my windows from them too. I am very satisfied with the amount of money I paid and the quality windows I received. From start to finish, from initial appointment to actual installation, the total time was 4 weeks.

We originally had Factory Direct give us a quote back in September however we weren't able to move forward due to some unexpected car repairs that came up shortly after our consultation. I explained the situation to our sales consultant Sonny and he completely understood. He kept in touch every once in a while and there were at least 3 occasions where I called him with additional questions and he always returned my call promptly and was eager to help. I was impressed because he knew that I wasn't able to buy the windows anytime soon and yet he helped me at every turn. Of course, when we finally had saved up for all 15 windows and a patio door, albeit 4 months later, Sonny was once again extremely helpful. We have had our new windows and patio door for several weeks now and I am delighted with how they turned out and even more happy with the customer service I received from Sonny.

We shopped around and scheduled appointments with several window companies. After thorough research, we opted to go with Factory Direct because the all of their installers were actual employees of Factory Direct versus being a 'contractor' like many of the other companies we met with. Also, after submitting a competitive quote through their online system, they were able to beat a competitor's price by roughly 15%. Our windows were installed this week and the installers did a stellar job.

Factory Direct has alot of windows to choose from, even if you have a tight budget. We needed 7 windows replaced and although I wanted a good quality window, I didn't want to break the bank. I was able to find exactly what I needed. The master installer, Mike, that completed the project did an excellent job. They were on time and they cleaned up after the job, leaving everything in perfect condition.

I was pleased with the selection of windows to choose from. I felt they had a good amount that fell within the price point I needed, all while not having to give up on quality. Good installation and good employees. Everyone I dealt with, from their admin, to the sales guy, to the installers, everyone was nice and very accommodating.

I saw their ad stating they would beat "any written quote by 10-60%" and at first I was skeptical about this statement. To my surprise, it was as easy as they were making it seem in their advertisement and simply sending over the competitive quotes I received was all it took. I saved well over 25% for the exact window I wanted and the Factory Direct installers that completed my window project were excellent. Very pleased with the outcome.
