Edwin Holmes Roofing

Mr. Holmes came out to provide an estimate and addressed all my concerns with the roof. Within two days I had a new roof. Everything went smoothly without a hitch. His crew was very professional and completed the job in one day. Would highly recommend.

Edwin and his crew did a GREAT job. I am very impressed. We signed the contract and they did the roof less than a week later. We had to wait a couple of weeks for the gutters but with all of the work going on because of hail damage it was no big deal. The gutters were done yesterday and they look great.

I was impressed with Edwin's attention to detail throughout the entire process of obtaining an estimate to completing the job. He pointed out damage to the gutters that the insurance claim agent missed, gave us options for the new roof and priced them individually to help us make a decision. His cost estimate was in line with what the insurance company estimated. On the day of the job he came out and instructed his team what to do, and the day after the job he sent his son out to check to make sure the job was done right and cleaned up. The crew did everything stated would be done in the proposal. My husband who has worked in construction in the past said over and over again what a nice job they did.

I called them on a Monday and Saturday he called me back and said he was in my area and could come look at my roof. He was on the roof for 40 minutes and said he found the leak and was going to fix it. He went back on the roof with a caulk gun and 45 minutes later he said it was fixed. He also tried to get me to buy new gutters which I did not need. The charge for the work was not explained and I did not feel like I was treated fairly.

The work was excellent and very good. He was very nice and we were pleased. It is an individual local company.

Service was outstanding. He was punctual on reviewing my Roof and Gutters and worked with my insurance agent on items that were missed. The roof was replaced within one week of signing the agreement and was completed in one day. They were professional and workmanship was amazing. He also handled getting the gutters replaced after they were approved by the insurance company and assisted us in the details and options we had to choose from. I could not be happier with the service we received from Edwin Holmes Roofing and would recommend his services to anyone needing their roof replaced.

Mr. Holmes met with the adjuster per the adjuster's schedule on June 2nd. They both were in agreement that the damage was significant that replacement was warranted for our 5 year old roof. They agreed to a replacement cost of $15283.12 to replace the roof, gutters and two damaged sky light frames. I asked Mr. Holmes to provide Ice and water shield around the perimeter of our home for an additional cost of $1163.00. His workers started and completed the roof replacement on June 5th. Seven sheets need replaced at an additional cost of $39.00 per sheet per our contract. His crew did an excellent job on the roof, as well as cleaning up. He sub-contracted the gutters and downspout replaced to Turner who also did good work and cleaning up. The gutter work was started and completed on June 9th. Mr. Holmes' son arrived later that day to check on the cleanup. Holmes Roofing lived up to their reputation. Here's a suggestion to anyone with hail damage. Have a qualified roofer represent you with the insurance adjuster. A neighbor was told that the damage to her roof was not significant. One of our cars will cost about $3500 to repair the hail damage.

I Received a call from Edwin indicating that he could come out and look at the house to provide an estimate, even if I could not be there. I explained that we need the estimate for the house and our shed, for both the roof and gutters. I then mentioned that I also need an estimate for windows and Edwin thought it would be a good idea to meet me this week in person to discuss. When I mentioned that I really need a quote for the roof and gutters, I must have made a major blunder on my part. In mentioning that I wanted to decide on a contractor soon and had two other estimates I was obtaining, Edwin became extremely busy. He immediately said that he was so busy that he would not provide a quote because he did not have time, because he did not need the business because he was so busy (still don't know why he called me). Anyway, I even mentioned that I will decide on a contractor based on what is proposed and reputation, and not just on price. He again said he was too busy for this project and I said "have a great day" and hung up. It will be interesting to see how he responds. I'm sure this call did not really happen and I'm making it up.

Nice guy, called and came by when it was getting dark. caulked around gutter and bottom of window and suggested I buy flex seal spray (which I did). He was hear about 10 minutes. I still had leak in basement, after his job,I used flex spay that I bought and it worked. He was a nice guy but for the money I thought he would want to come in and see the leak in the basement and I would get more for my purchase.

We had a bad situation with another roofing contractor. We contacted Edwin on Monday May 12th and he met us at our home the following day to go over the contract. They started the roof the following day and it was completed within 24 hours. The other contractor was going scheduled out three weeks. Edwin used 3-dimensional shingles and provided a great warranty. The roof looks great, he made working with our insurance provider very easy, and they did a great job cleaning up! I would recommend Edwin to anyone looking for a roofer!

The engagement started off a little rough with some scheduling issues but ended very well. I understand there are some issues with the Angie's List app that the vendors are using and that could be causing some of the scheduling problems, so keep that in mind as you rate providers. Anyway, Ed came to my place on a Friday and did some assessment of an old gutter system that needs replacement. He also performed maintenance on an area that was structurally poor and did his best to strengthen the area. He spent a good amount of time making this happen for us and it appears to be holding well. This was above and beyond his required services. Overall I am very happy with the service, would use it again, and would recommend this company to friends.

I was very pleased with the service provided. Edwin was friendly, professional and courteous. He did a thorough roof inspection and repaired the minor issues he found. He took pictures to show me what he found and the repairs he made. I will absolutely call him again if any roofing problems arise and won't hesitate to recommend him to friends.

I purchased a roof inspection package for my new home. Service was provided quickly and efficiently and he even came on a Sunday to fit my busy schedule. He explained what spots on the roof I should monitor and places in the house that might have had leaks in the past. He was thorough and very corteous.

They were quick & precise and very professional.

I was not happy with it at all. It said on the paper that he was to reseal around the chimney as part of the inspection then he hands me a bill for two-hundred dollars without telling me he's going to charge me anything. The ninety- nine dollars came out of that but it was an unexpected bill that I don't know he was giving to me. If I would have known that he's going to charge me for that, I was not satisfied at all.

We did miss each others calls several times but once we connected, he wanted to come out right away but I wanted him to come a little later than he wanted to, which was the day he called, as I was leaving for vacation. I went a head and got it done. They did some minor repairs around some pipe stacks, such as sealing them. They noticed some hail damage and let me know. There were some extra costs involved due to the pitch of my roof. The final cost ended at much more than I expected but it had to get done.

Edwin was great. I purchased a special on Angie's list & he promptly reached out by text to let me know when he would be by to clean out the gutters. Of course, when he showed up I still had ice dams in the gutters. They removed some of the larger pieces of ice, but weren't able to clean the gutters properly. Edwin text me to let me know the situation & that he would schedule a return visit. A few weeks later after all the ice had melted & the sun came out, I got another text from him saying that they would be by to finish the job. Yesterday, the work was completed. I really appreciated Edwin's promptness & keeping me informed. I didn't have to chase anyone down to get the work done & they even made a 2nd visit to get it right!

Edwin was very courteous and very knowledgeable. He provided everything that was mentioned in the special that we purchased. I would recommend his services.

I bought the $99 roof maintenance/minor repair coupon. They called me back and came to fix the roof the same day. The gentleman who came to our house was very pleasant, located the problem and fixed it right away. I would call them for similar issues in the future.

It was smooth and seamless. Mr. Holmes was very helpful. We had issues with our mortgage company and the way they wanted to disperse the insurance funds. Mr. Holmes completed the work perfectly even though it took a couple weeks after completion to get the funds from our mortgage company to pay him. He was very understanding through the whole process. We appreciated his patience and the great job he did.

I had Holmes Roofing roof my house in Indianapolis Indiana four years ago. They did a wonderful job and I would refer them to anyone. I then moved to Kentucky and bought a house there, I called Edwin Holmes to see if he would come to Kentucky and offered to pay a little extra to do my new home. They came down to Kentucky and fixed up my home and did a wonderful job! Like my house in Indianapolis, the one in Kentucky also sold very quickly. The realtor for both homes had nothing but good comments about the roof and gutters and that it really helped sell the homes. I now just moved to Tennessee and just bought a house. I had Edwin from Holmes roofing come to give me a estimate on doing my roof and gutters for the third time in four years. Holmes Roofing had some of the best prices and weren't as much as the other roofing companies I had looked up. They are the best! From a sales pitch, to the workers, to the finished product and the great job they did on cleaning up after themselves. Believe it or not, Edwin visited both of my homes during the work being done several times during the project. The project only took one day to do the roof and one day to do the gutters. After, Edwin personally did the final cleanup and an inspection job on my exterior of my home. It was cleaner that it was before they started working! There is no other way to go than to go with Holmes Roofing for any home improvement project you may have. I give Holmes Roofing an A+++!!!
