Requested through Angie's List for service contract for furnace. Responded quickly and courteously, set up appointment within 10 days or so. Called the day before to remind me, and arrived at the appointed time the next day. Could have used more info about what he did specifically; will call them for that. Serviceman was friendly, careful about carpet, etc. Overall, the experience was very good, and I'm glad I chose Chapman!

Several of my neighbors use Chapman and we will continue to use them as well. Both times I have used Chapman they have been punctual, professional, and knowledgable. The gentleman who came was incredibly thorough and friendly. It was impressive to me that he did not try to push other services or parts. In fact, he told me what to look out for with an older furnace and taught me how to look for cracks in the heat exchanger. I felt better knowing that he spent time teaching me as well. They aren't pushy at all and I appreciate that I am treated with respect. Very impressed with the service contract and I love supporting a local company. We will be purchasing another service contract with them in the future.

It went fabulously. Mr.Chapman, the owner, came to the house and assessed the situation. He immediately knew exactly what we needed and made his recommendation without trying to upsell us on things that were not in our best interests. The company installed the furnace and air condition perfectly in one day, removed the old furnace and air conditioner and left not one ounce of mess. I can think of no reason to ever use any other company since this one is perfect.

We had Scott with Chapman Heating and Cooling give us a 2nd opinion on a heat exchanger in a gas furnace. Scott found that there were some cracks and recommended that we replace the entire furnace since the unit was at least 25 years old. He had the office give us a call to arrange an estimate. Randy came out to give us an estimate which we found to be competitively priced. Once we approved the work to be done, the new furnace was installed in a matter of days.

They were fantastic. They were very friendly and were very patient to help me understand what they were doing. I spoke with the president of the company, the receptionist, and the project manager. I had great access to anyone in the company as far as communication was concerned.

Furnace was running constantly. Early Saturday morning (3:30 am), we noticed the elements were coming on but the flames would go out immediately and the cycle would repeat. We shut the furnace off and called Chapman the next morning @ 8:00 am. The technician was there by 10:00 am. He was very polite and explained what he thought the problem was. He brought in his equipment and checked out everything thoroughly. He determined the furnace just needed a good cleaning. He cleaned the furnace and put in a new filter and additionally secured a loose circuit panel. The technician was efficient and thorough. I was a little surprised by the $92.00 diagnostic fee (which we were told about up front before our appoiintment was even scheduled) on top of the $79.00 furnace cleaning, but we have used Chapman before and have been happy with their work and honesty. We will continue to use their services for all of our heating and cooling needs.

When they installed it, they lifted the furnace to put a new plate underneath it, which cracked around the chimney. That year we had a lot of rain, which came through the sealing. It was really a mess. I contacted them about this, but they told me it wasn’t their fault. Also, they charged $100 plus what it cost me to have the air conditioning installed, since I used my credit card. I wouldn’t recommend them to anybody!

After my parents moved into a new condo in July 2012, I didn't think the a/c was working right. Sure enough a couple weeks in something popped and it stopped working. We had one company come out and they fixed it temporarily but recommended we have the whole thing replaced. Since this would be a major investment, we got a second and 3rd opinion. We called Chapman after a family friend said they'd replaced their unit 2 years ago and had been very happy. Randy Taylor arrived on time and looked at the unit. He asked us what the problem was and said those were actually pretty common given the extreme heat we'd had this summer and not a reason to replace the whole unit just yet. He said if it was his parents he wouldn't do it and expected that the unit would last us another 4 years! Only time will tell if it does, but when we have a problem, we're calling Chapman again. We felt like the other 2 companies were just trying to sell us a whole new unit. Thank you, Randy and Chapman!

They showed up exactly when they said they would, quickly diagnosed the problem (blow capacitor), replaced the item, and were on their way. The service itself was not what has earned them an 'A' grade. The professionalism of the technician they sent did. He was polite, informative, and respectful of our home. I will absolutely use them in the future, and recommend them to anyone in need of heating& a/c services.

This was the first time I had used Chapman's. I got the reference from Angie's list. The technician was friendly and helpful. He fixed the problem quickly. I will definitely use them again.

I have not purchased a new heat pump yet, but I will most likely buy one from Chapman. First contact to set up a home appointment went great; I apologize for not remembering the person I spoke with on the phone; she was professional and made me feel I was a VIP. She accommodated my schedule and we set up a Saturday app't. Randy called the day before coming to verify the time and date with me, then got here right on time. He is very knowledgeable and recommended four units; he did not try to sell the most efficient (and costly) system. In fact, he noted that for our upstairs we didn't need a unit with all the bells and whistles. I decided on the 13 seer single speed Evolution, which still has the 10 year parts and compressor/5 year labor warranty. They are willing to work within my budget and still sell a great product. We are in the process of getting special financing at the present time. Overall, this company has demonstrated why it has an A rating. Initially I called to get a 2nd opinion, but after this experience, I decided to go with Chapman.

We have a contract where they come twice a year to check everything out so we didn't have to pay anything.

We have a yearly contract with them for two service calls, which includes everything else like filters and so forth and so on. We used them since we bought the house and they have put in hot water heaters for us, installed new furnaces and everything. They are very professional; they come out do the job and they go a little above and beyond. They will check things out that we would not think others to check out to make sure everything is right. They will talk us to and find out if we have been having any problems and what type of problems we have been having, instead of just coming in and doing a service and that were it and go. They are very prompt, a lot of times since we have a contract with them, they call us and say that it is such and such month and it be time to do the spring updates and stuff and when we would like to make an appointment. We would definitely use them again and we use them every year. They come out change filters and give it a fire. They check the air-conditioning system and furnace and make sure all the blowers are working right and there is no short circuit or anything like that.

Our heat pump/furnace would periodically stop working and we would have to go out and flip the breaker to start it back up. It would run for a few days, and then stop again. We called Chapman Heating and Air on a Saturday morning and thankfully the technician made us his last stop at the end of the day to do a diagnostic. Three hours later, we had a new thermostat, and learned that it had been wired wrong for 13 years (not sure how it had been working this long). He reconfigured our heat pump/furnace to work to it's full potential. He answered all of our questions and was more than thorough in doing what was required and in my opinion, went above and beyond what was expected. He could have easily come in, diagnosed the problem, and scheduled another visit to fix it; but instead he stayed until everything was working perfectly. You don't find that very often these days. Now we can run the heat on a "normal" temp instead of keeping it at 79 just to keep the downstairs comfortable.

Our heat pump was going out and running all day long to keep the house lukewarm. I got 5 competetive bids from Angie's List. Although Chapman's was not the cheapest bid, I had done business with them before and was very impressed with their professionalism. They were able to work with me on the price and beat my best bid. They were able to install the new system the next day. Everytime they came into the house they wore booties. They made sure the new system was working correctly and made sure we understood the new thermostat and it is working great. I really like this company.ost

Our 21 year old furnace stop working. I called Chapman on Tuesday morning. They sent Mark out to our house a few hours later. Mark said it would be around $500.00 to repair furnace. We decided to replace the Furnace due to the age of the unit. We scheduled an appointment for them to come back out on Wednesday morning to discuss new furnace options. Randy meet with us and went over the different options and units. We made our selection and scheduled the install for the next day on Thursday. They installed the new furnace on thursday. They did a great job. Great service!

They were the ones that replaced our air conditioner. We thought they were very honest with us and they didn't try to oversell us. I have used them several times. They are very professional. They come right on time and do quality work. We haven't had any problems with anything we've done.

Everything went according to plan. The installers were on time (actually early) and brought the correct models of what we had selected. It took more than a day to finish the job,and as it was the weekend, we waited until MOnday for completion. That actually worked out better for us with the work schedules we have, so that was not a worry. It was an extremely hot day and everyone worked well without complaint, even in the attic and the crawlspace. I will definitely use their services again.

Our air conditioner stopped working Friday and we called Chapman early Saturday. The scheduler was pleasant and efficient, and said she could get someone out to diagnose the problem before noon when they closed for the day.As promised, the service technician showed up less than three hours later. He was friendly and knowledgeable, and quickly figured out what was wrong with the unit. Fortunately, it was a simple fix. Less than 30 minutes later, he was on his way and we were being treated to nice cool air. Getting service on a weekend at a reasonable price (no overtime rates) was more than we were expecting. Having the problem fixed on the spot was icing on the cake. We would definitely use Chapman again based on this experience.

I had purchsed a new condo and it wasn't as cool in the house as it should be. I called the home inspector out to check the AC and he told me that we had an ill-fitting duct over the furnace that would need to be replaced. I made the mistake of calling another company that told me that I needed $2500 worth of work to get it corrected. I was very upset so after they left, I checked Angie's List and saw that these guys were very highly rated so I called them. I spoke with Shirley on the phone. She was so nice and professional and listened to me describe my the problem and what the other company told me. Then she set up an appointment for the next morning. The technician showed up and looked over the paperwork from the other company and then went into the attic to check out the ductwork. He was so nice and professional. The bottom line here was that unlike what the first company told me, I did not need a $700 leak trace, I did not need a $145 freon charge, I did not need all of mu ductwork redone for $2200. I needed the ill-fitting duct replaced and my outside unit sprayed out with the hose. The entire thing cost $80 which was less than the other company charged me for the service call! This company was so professional that I signed up for the service club. I recommend this company to anyone needing AC service.

Overall - we were very pleased. It cost more than if we would have bought it on our own and hired the plumber but in an emergency - it seemed fair.

They were on time and finished in the time they estimated the job would take. They were very courteous and so quiet that even my very timid cats came out and investigated. They usually remain under the bed until visitors leave. I love my new system. It is very quiet and not drafty and I seem to be able to set my thermostat higher because it cools so evenly.

We had a great experience with this company the technicians were knowledgeable and courteous. Will definitely use them in the future.

I always use them. I like the personnel and the quality of the product. They were very responsive and punctual. They were actually early. I would absolutely use them again and I have recommended them to family.
