Busy Bee Movers Inc

The weather was rainy on the day of the move. The crew got lost between my wife's shop and our house (she had given them directions). They arrived about an hour after leaving her shop (it's a 20 minute drive). The crew did their best to keep the piece of furniture dry and wrapped it in moving blankets. They got it into the house and moved the TV off the table it was sitting on. Then they set the entertainment center in the corner as I requested. They also placed the TV on the shelf where it was to reside. After completing their task, they presented me with a bill of $237.00. I questioned this bill, since I had called their office the day before to get an estimate for the move. Their office had said it would be a minimum 2-hr charge @ $76/hr and the charge would be $152.00. The driver told me that the office did not include the minimum 1-hr drive time in the bill. I paid the bill stated ($237), but was not happy about paying the extra fee. I will be calling their office on Monday to register a complaint about their estimating system.

Matt was extremely nice in accepting the job and even though it was later in the afternoon, they still did the job. He quoted me at 295 for the whole job, which was great. However there was a 3 hour minimum that he either failed to tell me or I missed. Regardless, I told him repeatedly that neither my fianc or I would be there until 6:00pm. They ended up showing up a half hour early and then Matt calls me telling me they are there (this is open to debate, but he made it sound like I had told him I would be there when I made it a point to say that we were not going to be there). Anyways, they did move it quickly, but a large piece was scraped and dented in on the side of our new piano. My fianc was there by herself, and I am not saying these guys needed to be her best friends, but they weren't overly friendly either. Then the charge was bigger than he originally quoted. I assume their company is better than this and they were having an off day. I would just make sure you ask Matt about all the expenses to start off.

We just moved across the street. I'm happy with them.

Movers arrived earlier than scheduled and started quickly, however they "quickly" turned slow, and it took more than 4 hours to load the truck, which I felt was an extreme amount of time given. There were 3 men. After movers arrived at new location, they were moving so slowly that we began helping them unload the truck to save time. Workers were unprofessionally dressed (torn work shirts, etc.), and the crew was inexperienced (team leader indicated other two had only been on job "1 week"). They damaged three pieces of brand new bedroom suit and we are in the process of getting a claim form to get these fixed. Will post an update on our satisfaction to this process once it is complete. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this company. The owner/manager (Matt Burkhart) was very nice from initial contact to completion, but unfortunately he was not one of the workers.

The guys called before coming (as requested), worked hard, and did an excellent job. This is my third experience with the company and would definitely call them again.

Guys did a great job moving everything. Very polite and respectful. Took extreme care in moving all furniture.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB, COURTEOUS AND EFFICIENT, KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I had a very good experience with this company. There were no surprises, everything was just like the man told me on my first call of inquiry. The two fellows that actually did the work were very professional, on time, new what they were doing, and best of all would set the furniture where I wanted them, too. They did good work for me, and I would recommend them.

They were excellent & very professional. They did an overall good job. The guys who were working had outstanding attitudes.

I was amazed at how little time it took. They were up, loaded, & out of there before I knew it!

WHEN MY FURNITURE WAS DELIVERED, I SAW THAT THEY HAD TAKEN A CHIP OUT OF AN ANTIQUE CHAIR OF MINE, AND MY COUCH IS FILTHY. I CONTACTED THE OWNER, MATT, WHO SAID THEY WOULD TAKE CARE OF CLEANING THE COUCH AND REPAIRING THE CHAIR. AFTER 3 WEEKS AND SEVERAL PHONE CONVERSATIONS, I RECEIVED A CHECK IN THE MAIL FOR $80. HE HAD NEVER MENTIONED SENDING A CHECK, HE TOLD ME THEY WERE GOING TO MAKE THE ARRANGEMENTS TO HAVE SOMEONE COME OUT AND TAKE CARE OF THE ISSUES. HE NEVER MENTIONED SENDING ME A CHECK, WHICH IS ALSO TOO SMALL FOR THE WORK I NEED DONE. I DO NOT FEEL THAT I SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PRICING OUT AND ARRANGING TO HAVE THE WORK DONE, I FEEL THAT THEY SHOULD ARRANGE IT AND BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL EXPENSES. A PHONE CALL MADE AFTER I RECEIVED THE CHECK TO DISCUSS THIS WAS NOT RETURNED.

THE 2 MEN DID A GREAT JOB OF CARING FOR MY THINGS. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHES OR MARKS ON THE FURNITURE, OR THE HOME. THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS THAT I HAD ORDERED WARDROBE BOXES, AND THERE WERE NONE ON THE TRUCK, SO MY HANGING CLOTHES HAD TO BE PUT ON THE TRUCK AS THEY WERE. THAT WAS NOT THE 2 MOVERS FAULT.

THE MOVERS WERE ON TIME AND MOVED QUICKLY TO GET MY THINGS MOVED. THERE WERE A FEW ITEMS THAT WERE SCRATCHED AND ONE MIRROR WAS SCRATCHED BADLY (THE STAND THAT IT WAS ON AND THE MIRROR WERE DAMAGED.) I WOULD USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN, HOWEVER I WOULD NOT ALLOW THEM TO MOVE ANY LARGE MIRRORS OR GLASS ITEMS.

MOVE NECESSITATED DUE TO APARTMENT FLOODING CONDITION. GOT QUICK (NEXT DAY)RESPONSE. MOVE HANDLED EFFICIENTLY IN LESS THAN 4 HOURS. WORKERS ALSO HELPED IN PACKING LOOSE ITEMS. RECEIVED 5% SENIOR DISCOUNT.

HAD OWNER COME OUT SO THAT THE ''ESTIMATE'' WOULD BE ACCURATE. JOB WAS DOUBLE THE ESTIMATED COST, SEVERAL ITEMS DAMAGED AND TOOK A FULL DAY LONGER THAN ESTIMATE. THEY DID GIVE SOME MAKE GOOD, AFTER HEATED DISCUSSIONS. OVERALL EXPERIENCE NOT POSITIVE BECAUSE OF THE WRONG COST ESTIMATE AND TIME FOR THE MOVE. MOVERS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL HOWEVER.

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE; I CHANGED THE MOVING DATE AND TIME BECAUSE OF IMPENDING RAIN, AND THEY ADJUSTED READILY.

I WILL HIGHLY RECOMMEND BUSY BEE MOVERS TO ANY OF MY FRIENDS AND ASSOCIATES IN THE FUTURE. OUR MOVERS, A STAFF OF THREE AND TWO TRUCKS WERE EFFICIENT, PROFESSIONAL, AND MADE OUR MOVE AN ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE. ABSOLUTELY NO DAMAGE WAS RECEIVED TO ANY OF OUR HOUSEHOLD ITEMS - NO SCRATCHES, NO DENTS, NO DAMAGE - EXCELLENT SERVICE. THIS COMPANY DESERVES AN A+ RATING FOR THEIR SERVICE. THANKS.

THEY DIDNT HOOK UP THE WASHING MACHINE, THEY SCOOTED IT UP TO THE PLACE IT BELONGED, BUT DIDNT HOOK IT UP, THEY PUT THE CONNECTION ON, BUT DIDNT TWIST IT. WE RAN THE WASHER AND WATER WENT EVERYWHERE, A WHOLE TUB OF IT! WHEN SIGNING THE CONTRACT, THEY TOOK THE CONTRACT AWAY RIGHT AFTER WE SIGNED IT SO WE DIDNT EVEN GET A CHANCE TO READ IT, OR WE WOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT THEY DIDNT RE-HOOK UP APPLIANCES. THEY ALSO DAMAGED AND SCRATCHED SOME FURNITURE. THEY HAD REALLY SMALL GUYS MOVING THAT SEEMED TO STRUGGLED WITH LIFTING SOME OF OUR THINGS. THEY WERE NICE KIDS, BUT THEY DIDNT SEEM TO BE A VERY PROFESSIONAL OUTFIT. I WOULD NOT USE THEM AGAIN.

THE TWO BUSY BEE MOVERS THAT HELPED US MOVED WERE REALLY HARD WORKERS. WE MOVED FROM LAFAYETTE TO INDIANAPOLIS IN LESS THAN 6 HOURS. DURING THE WHOLE MOVE, THEY ONLY TOOK TWO TEN MINUTE BREAKS. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICES.

VERY CONSCIENTIOUS THREE YOUNG MEN WHO WERE TRULY CONCERNED ABOUT NOT DAMAGING ANY ITEMS BUT WERE EXTREMELY QUICK IN GETTING THE JOB COMPLETED.

VERY DEPENDABLE, FAST AND EFFICIENT.
