Broad Ripple Appliance

After calling 3 other appliance repair places and getting voicemails or no answer at all, I called Broad Ripple Appliance. A nice lady took my information and said they would send someone that same day! In fact, the technician, "Jack" said he would be at my house in 20 minutes! When was the last time you called anywhere to get service and they send someone out so quickly?? Jack arrived on time, and not only did he fix the ice maker, he gave the entire refrigerator a complete once over, checking all the parts, cleaned the drain hoses, drip tray, and much more. We were very impressed overall! We will definitely call them again. There is a $70 trip charge plus whatever parts might be needed for the repairs. We felt the charge was very reasonable.

Called and scheduled an appointment between 10 and 1. No one showed up. At 1:05 received a call and they said they were on the way. When I asked about why no one showed up within the appointment time he said that he was late. Will get the service elsewhere.

Part had to be ordered. It took one business day, once it arrived technician Shane replaced it quickly.

Called before arrival and within projected window. Very quickly diagnosed the problem, told us exactly what it would cost to repair, and had the necessary parts in their truck. Had our dryer up and running within 30 minutes. Highly recommend!

Ended up receiving same day service! Was to have been next day, however, tech was in our immediate area and stopped into look at problem. It was an easy fix, with parts source only minutes away. Situation worked out the best for both parties.

He knew the problem, solved it, ordered and picked up a part unique to my dish washer, installed the part. All in a very short time. Very nice, professional, and friendly.

Service tech called us before coming out to ask about the problem symptoms. So when he came he had the right part with him. Repair was quick. Tech also had some suggestions to help avoid future problems. Overall great service!

The repair person was very courteous. The problem wasn't my dryer though, it was my outlet. He was very upfront and honest about it. He didn't try to sell me on any additional services. He even examined the outlet to make sure that was really the problem. Great experience!

Received a call from Brad that he would be arriving within 15 minutes, took him approx. 20 minutes and provided an estimate. I wish the $70 service charge would be applied to the repair cost but other than that no complaints. Brad fixed our dryer, gave us some suggestions and cleaned everything up

Great! Brad called 15 minutes in advance and was on time. Analyzed problem as faulty lid switch as to machine not working. Replaced lid switch and tested machine. Professional and friendly. An exemplary employee!

Service was excellent. refrigerators were mom's 1950's GE and 1970's Frigidaire.

Technician diagnosed the problem quickly. It turned out it was a missing screw on the control knob. I was pleased with their response and ability to come quickly. Though I was told the cost of the service call beforehand and I understand it costs to send someone to your home, it was painful to pay $59.95 to have someone replace a missing screw!

Brad showed up on time was very professional. He quickly discovered the issue and gave me the options on what could be done. He tried to fix it, but Kenmore stopped making the piece needed and it was no longer available. Brad gave suggestions on the best washer to buy to replace our old one, gave tips on where to shop and how to get the best price. The appliance I wanted repaired was not able to be fixed, but I truly appreciate Brad's honesty, hard work and professionalism.

They were good. They did a great job, I liked the guy. I would use them again. I know it was a good price. Their quality of work was very good.

They had to come out twice. The first time, he said nothing was wrong with my dryer and that I needed to have the vent cleaned. I called the dryer vent guy and he said there was nothing wrong with the vent, that the appliance guy needed to come back out. The second time he checked, he said something was wrong with the dryer. He didn't fix it, he just said it was broke and that I needed to buy a new dryer. He said the panel to the computer was not working. He said I could repair it for $400 or get a new dryer. They found something wrong with the washer during the first visit and they repaired that. That is when I told them the dryer was acting up and then they told me nothing was wrong with it. The second visit is when they told me that the board wasn't working in the dryer. No, I would not use them again. I just thought it wasn't very professional that he told me nothing was wrong with the dryer and told me it was the vent. I clean out the traps very regularly. I didn't think that's what it was. He said it was definitely the dryer vent. It took him 10 minutes when he came out the second time to find that the board was no good. I didn't understand why he couldn't do that the first time instead of me having to make an additional appointment and trying to say that the dryer vent guy didn't know what the was talking about. The washer is still working well, he said a dime was caught in the mechanical part underneath, which is what I was hearing. It was causing a leak.

Service was awesome! I called BRA on Labor Day and left a message requesting service on my very old GE washer which was leaking underneath during the spin cycle. Beth Anne called early the next morning and scheduled an appointment for Thursday, between 10 am – 1 pm. Brad called Thursday morning at 10:30 am and said he was heading my way. Brad has been working on older washers for 40 years and he knows exactly what he’s doing. He diagnosed the problem, went to his truck to call and find the part (a pump), came back in and gave me an estimate and told me he could pick up the part and be back the very same afternoon. He called me back around 2:45 pm and I met him at the house. In all honesty, we chatted for a bit, so he was there for probably an hour. Actual installation time was probably 30 - 35 minutes. He showed me the part and showed me exactly where the leak was coming from. Hopefully, the washer is good for another 25 years. They just don't build them like they used to! If you have an older washer, Brad is your guy! I'll definitely call BRA for any appliance repair needed in the future. I used the Angie's List coupon for $10 off repair.

Brad was sick so the appointment needed to be rescheduled initially. Once he arrived, he fixed the problem and explained what was wrong. Later another component stopped working so we had to call him back. That was fixed as well. He was very responsive and the dryer is working.

It was wonderful. They were very instructive and very kind. They were on time. It was excellent.

Turned out to ne a minor issue. Was repaired quickly.
