Broad Ripple Appliance

When my 27-year-old electric dryer ran and tumbled the clothes but did not dry them, I found it was still cold after about 15 minutes. I was concerned that because of its age, it might not be repairable. Checking Angie's List, I chose three companies to call and decided on Broad Ripple because of its reviews, its proximity to where I live, and the coupon. Since this was not an emergency, I waited a day to call and later yesterday afternoon, they offered to try to come out yet that day, but I opted for a window of 8:00 - 11:00 this morning instead. Brad called shortly before 8:00 to say he was on his way. About 8:15 he arrived, pleasant and polite. He had notes on what I had described as the problem. As he started working, I asked if he was "Brad" and explained he was mentioned repeatedly in Angie's List reviews of the company. He acknowledge he was and asked if I had the coupon with which members could get a discount. Proceeding, he efficiently removed the dryer front panel, tested the electrical something, and explained what he found, showed me the burned-out coil, and said he didn't have that part on the truck. He would have to go to Castleton for it. He gave me a quote for the repair which I readily agreed to. He was back more quickly than I expected, part in hand. It wasn't too long before he had replaced the coil, replaced the panel, and written the paperwork. He processed my credit card, thanked me, and was out the door. Broad Ripple Appliance's customer service, the offer of options without making assumptions (appointment time and estimated cost of repair), a pleasant and knowledgeable technician, and timely service made this a very positive experience. I was also overwhelmingly relieved to learn that I had a good solid 1986 dryer which was "one of the best made" and that I did not have to go through the hassle and expense of buying a replacement. The reviews on this company were very helpful.

Brad was courteous and professional. He got right down to work and completed the repair in a short time.

I called for help Tuesday. I chose 12-3. Brad called then came 11:50 am (I live about a 2 miles from the store.) He found the problem, was able to repair, rapaired and was out in about 45 minutes.

We had an excellent Service Technician (Brad). Explained the job and went beyond the simple repair to make sure we understood why the heating element on our dryer had burned out early (showed me the part and explained its failure). Checked our outside dryer vent and made a reccommenation on getting them clean to improve airflow. Courteous and professional.

Brad arrived on time and immediately diagnosed that we needed a new icemaker in our 25-year old refrigerator. He had to run out to get it and replaced it upon returning. He was probably in our house no more than 45 minutes total, which included some maintanance suggestions and answering some questions. I was very impressed with scheduling the appointment and the speed and professional manner of our experience and would recommend them without hesitation. The total cost was a bit more than I would like but was very satisfied with the result.

The service call and repair was completed to my satisfaction and I would recommend,anduse them them again, for appliance service.

Our dishwasher was leaking water, so we asked Broad Ripple Appliance to come and have a look. The technician determined that there was a leak in the motor. It was repairable, but the cost of the repair would be more than the cost for a new dishwasher. He recommended that we purchase a new dishwasher, rather than replace the motor. He then outlined exactly what kind of dishwasher he would recommend, and at what price we should pay. It was very helpful and useful advice, which we followed in purchasing our new appliance.

IWe called Broad Ripple appliance because the door latch was not releasing when the clothes were done. We had made a temporary fix in that we could pull a release underneath the soap dispenser to unlatch the door. When the repair man came he knew right away it was not worth fixing ($470 estimate). After his diagnosis, I asked him to put it back the way he found it so that we could continue washing clothes until we could get a new one (it was the holidays). He said he did. After he left, I washed another load of clothes and the spin cycle did not work at all. The clothes were soaking wet. We tried several things to no avail. I called Broad Ripple appliance to ask that they come back and put it the way the found it but they said they had not done anything to it. They were absolutely no help at all and made the machiine unusable by doing their diagnistics.

I tried to fix my dryer by myself and replaced some simple parts to no avail. I called Broad Ripple Appliance and from the moment I spoke with Beth Ann, I felt confident in their customer service and she accommodated my very busy schedule and set up a Saturday appt. Brad called on his way, and he arrived in the time frame they promised. He was very professional, courteous and solved the problem with my dryer. The issue was the timer, which of course is one of the most expensive parts to repair. He counseled me on my options and I decided it was better to purchase a new dryer. He gave me unsolicited and excellent advice on purchasing a new dryer with the current economy. He also gave me his phone number if I were to have any questions or concerns. I did not chose to use their services to repair my dryer, but the advice and peace of mind was worth every penny of the service call. I would use them again, and recommend them highly.

They were timely in respoding. They provided a good quality service and I had no problems.

GREAT SERVICE!!!!! My washing machine quit draining the water. I found Broad Ripple Aplliance on Angie's List, talked to a friend about Broad Ripple Appliance, whom she had used in the past. Beth Ann took my call, she was very friendly & helpful. Brad, the technician called prior to arriving at my home & was on time!! He was very friendly, knowledgeable & professional. He was able to diagnose & repair my waser in less than an hour. The drain pump had gone bad. The entire cost of the repair was about $180.00. My experience with Broad Ripple Appliance was very positive. I will definitely use Broad Ripple Appliance service for all of my appliane repair needs in the future, they were fantastic!!!!

My freezer on my refrigerator was leaking water and I didn't know what was wrong with it. So I called Broad Ripple Appliance and they sent out a technician the same day. His name was Brad and was very professional and polite! He had diagnosed the problem and fixed it very quickly. He had removed ice build up from the bottom of my freezer and drain. He then went through and checked the rest of my refrigerator to see if there was anything else wrong with it. The refrigerator and freezer are now in perfect working condition! No more leaks!!!

I've used Broad Ripple Appliances several times for repairs and purchases. I've been impressed with their knowledge and honesty. They let me know if it would be better to buy something new than to pay for the repairs of my existing appliance. When I wanted to buy a new microwave, I went to them first and found a great deal on a scratch model.

I have been preparing this house to sell since Oct. 1, 2012. It was to go on the market on Dec. 7th. The burner had gone out of the stove, and was never fixed. The ice-maker was faulty and ice built up around the mechanism and periodically would stop working.Broad Ripple Appliance was very efficient, cordial, helpful, and knowledgeable. I was very satisfied with their work.

Broad Ripple appliance was the 3rd repair place I called, they were the only ones open on Saturday. The receptionist was very courteous and sheduled me for a 10 to 1 appointment. The repairman, Brad arrived @ 1.00 and had what he needed to do the job in 10 minutes because he called ahead and asked all the right questions. He was very knowlegdable and efficient. I will call them first next time.

Grinding noise coming from the refrigerator awakened the household during the night. After doing my Angie's List research I contacted Broad Ripple Appliance. They were able to come out same day. Brad recognized the problem immediately. He located the replacement part at a local supplier and was able to make the repair by end of day. He communicated exactly what was going on and resolved the problem in a timely fashion.

The dryer was fixed in about 15 minutes. The serviceman found a wire that had shorted out and promptly replaced the wire and re-assembled the dryer.

What I like about them, is how they always try to find a solution to repair instead of trying to sell us a new appliance. They are always very kind, easy to deal with, and try to be as helpful as possible.

He was wonderful. He was really, really good. I can't say enough good things about him. He was professional, prompt, and the price was right. I was very satisfied with the service and would defiantly use him again.

Will definitely use them again when needed

The agitator went out on an 18 year old washer on a rental unit. I was afraid I would be told that I would need to purchase a new one based on the age. However, Brad for Broad Ripple Appliance came out the same day that I called and had the agitator and coupling replaced in 30 minutes and now the washer works great! I have used them before for minor repairs and will definately use them again. The price I paid, was certainly MUCH less than I would have had to pay for a new Washer. Outstanding service!!!

Brad arrived early and completed the repair with 2 drum brearing and 1 blower propeller by replacing these three parts with replacement parts. Reasonably priced pair and parts.

This is such a great company. From booking the appointment to the professionalism of the tech who came out, I would highly recommend this company to fix your appliances. I also was able to save $10 by using their Angie's list coupon. The tech, Brad, was so professional and made me so relieved that I didn't have to buy a new dryer and the cost of the repair was very reasonable.
