Description of Work: The people at Mason Outfitters were very nice and professional in their approach to us about the service we needed. I just cannot afford even their lowest estimate for the job.

Description of Work: Provider arrived at the home and reviewed the "To Do Job List" I gave to my husband. After looking at the work the provider told my husband that the items on my list were not they types of tasks they did.

Description of Work: this is an unusual review. Kourtney, I believe his name was, visited the site where we wanted a brick walk repaired. He called me and said that in all fairness, the repair would be far greater than the repair cost. To do the minimal repair wouldn't hold up. I appreciated his honesty. I received a refund.

Description of Work: I purchased the deal wanting my chimney cleaned and knew I needed a little work on my fireplace. I took off of work early to meet the service guy who I found was only there to give me an estimate that day. I was disappointed that my chimney wasn't cleaned that day and of course the work I need done isn't covered by the 100.00 off masonry work I need. I was told by this man that I could call AL and get a refund. I wasn't looking for one at that time FYI. Then, after several days they e-mailed me a proposal for work which didn't include the coupon. After questioning the proposal and many, many days later they sent me an e-mail with a proposal which wasn't attached. After sending an e-mail informing them there was no attachments I waited days and days (if not a week) for another e-mail that didn't have an attachment. So waiting again for many days I finally got the proposal w/attachment. I responded to that e-mail wanting to make an appointment for this next Friday the 17th and I haven't gotten a response. I've lost interest in this company and will contact the BD helpdesk for a refund. Maybe if I told them I worked for AL or had a bigger job I might have been a priority

Description of Work: These folks wanted to add not only the cost of material, which was understood, but "overhead" costs which amounted to $345 for a 3 hour job which the Big Deal indicated would be done for $99. They said the "Deal" was for Labor only, I can understand adding something for the cement used to do the tuck-pointing / repair, but not the fees they described as "overhead cost", without that fact being spelled out directly in the deal's advertising. I'll find another provider who is more upfront with their costs.

Description of Work: He installed a fireplace insert. He really had no clue what he was doing. He had to come back several times to fix something that wasn’t actually broken in the first place. He just didn’t know it had a heat sensor on it. He was also supposed to fix the tile. We finally found a piece of tile that matched the others. He tried to fix it a couple of times but he never used the right product. I still have a piece of tile that doesn’t match the others.

Description of Work: The service has not happened as yet but they are very nice and prompt with quote. They are putting up a aluminum smoke stack instead of repairing the existing brick chimney because they could save me about $500.00 - doing it this way. Very happy with this company but will not be doing masonary which is what the coupon is for.

Description of Work: An elevated brick porch with a separate foundation from the house had shifted about an inch and they gave me options, clearly explaining each with possible outcomes. I made my selection, we set a time period, and when they returned for the work were willing to repair another small area at the same time. The work has held up and I have been very pleased.

Description of Work: Original work date was in Oct. Many delays later the work was promised to be completed in one day. The day came and another excuse . Was told the work would now take two days. I had other obligations on the second day so decided to call off the work. Was also told by the partner they were busy filling Groupon obligations. I feel a $3,000 job that was originally scheduled 2 months ago should take precedence over Groupon. Sorry it had to come to this because I beleive Kourtney is a fine person but took on too much work.
