Description of Work: 1. Removed and reset 8 loose bricks on corner of side door entry way. | |2. Removed and replaced 3 cracked bricks | |We took advantage of the "big deal" offer and hired Masonry Outfitters to do a repair job on the corner of the walkway that leads to our front door. We had hoped that the amount paid for the big deal would be sufficient to cover most of the cost of this relatively small job. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The project wound up costing a lot more than if we had hired the mason that we usually use. | |Although our experience with this company was satisfactory, I cannot say the same with our experiences with Angie's List so called "Big Deal." Thus far, the cost savings of the big deals have not panned out. So let the buyer beware! |

Description of Work: They swept my chimney but failed to check my other chimney for leaks as I had requested. Upon sweeping the chimney, I was told I would have to have my entire firebox redone. I was given a quote for the job. The quote was almost three times what another mason will charge me for any repairs. The cost of the sweep was average for the work done. I think I will get my own brush and do the work in the future myself.

Description of Work: No work was done. Masonry Outfitters initially left a message and call back number to schedule an appointment. They have very limited phone hours so I left a message in return. I was never able to actually talk to someone. I also replied to an email from about scheduling an appointment on August 25, 2013 and got no response. The work has since been done by another mason. I would like a refund from Masonry Outfitters.

Description of Work: "Kourtney preformed our chimney sweep from the roof, then cleaned the firebox from inside. He examined our chimney, took photos, then showed me the photos and explained what choices I had for repairing the chimney. I suggested a possible rebuild of the top 21 rows of bricks and that is what is being done as I write this evaluation. | |I have taken photos before, during and I will take some after the job is completed. These will be posted along with my evaluation of the entire experience."
