Great! A little mix up on scheduling the start date - but all was fixed well and the project was fantastic!

This work occurred in conjunction with a bathroom remodel (detailed in a separate review). We originally contracted for the bathroom work, then asked the company if they would be able to fit in a closet remodel and a stair replacement. Luckily, they were able to fit us in their schedule. The old basement stairs were removed (they didn't have a center support and were sagging) and a new set was built on site. The wood they used was thick and sturdy. They also added a center support for the stairway. The stairs were completed in one day. The spare bedroom closet was 72" wide, but had a small 30" door right in the middle. They cut a new 60" doorway, reframed the opening, added 6-panel bi-fold doors, and retrimmed around the doors. Most of the closet work was completed in one day. The trimming occurred later because it was coordinated with the bathroom work. We were very pleased with the work.

We gave the company a "B" because we are satisfied with how the bathroom looks, but there were some bumps along the way. This remodel was quite a challenging process. The time estimate was 8 days from start to finish, but it ended up taking over 2 months from start to finish. About a week and a half of the delays were due to issues with cracked bathtubs and shower surrounds (which were not the fault of Booher), but other delays were due to incorrect framing, issues with flooring installation, issues with tile installation, equipment damaged by a subcontractor, and miscommunications by the foreman John. Some of the handoffs between the subcontractors were bumpy. For example, the framers incorrectly installed the new shower support wall, so the plumbers had to move studs (but they didn't do it correctly, so it had to be repaired later). We also had some issues with the tile/flooring installer and the painter. (both subs) The tile/flooring installer had to be replaced after he had multiple failures at getting the shower tile and vinyl flooring installed correctly. The tile/flooring installer even managed to damage our brand new tub, and it had to be ripped out, reordered, and the wall had to be repaired. We were very happy with the couple who ended up installing the tile - Juan and Brenda - they were a pleasure to work with and did a thorough job. They even made sure the wall was sealed before installing the tile. (something the first installer did not do) Our cabinets were a blotchy mess, so we sanded them and repainted them ourselves. (we received a credit back for that) We also finished all the post-drywall repair painting ourselves because we wanted the remodel to be finished and didn't want to wait on another sub. When we saw an issue, John would tell us that was the way it had to be or reluctantly fix it. (he even yelled at us when we pointed out that the drywaller didn't use green drywall, which we specifically requested, around the shower area) John is the reason for the low responsiveness score -- we wouldn't give that score to the owner. When we called Rob Booher, the owner, to escalate issues, Rob was very responsive, knowledgeable, and took care of the problem right away. Rob could look at something and see right away what needed to be done -- he really has a talent for construction.

Troy was on time every day. Scotty his labor guy was job & both worked very h****** both project. We had definitely use this company again.

The result was exactly what we wanted- beautiful!! sub-contractor did great work-communication between Booher & subcontractor's. couldn't have been better. Johns commitment to taking care of the customer assured the job went well.

First we would like to say that we are basically pleased with the finished bathroom which is the only reason that this company still gets a B rating. Everyone was very nice and worked hard to fix most of the problems which was appreciated. Major problems were day one demolition crew were overzealous with their sledgehammer and broke a hole through to the other bathroom that we were not remodeling! (They did patch the hole). Other problems included not ordering enought tile which caused the project to be delayed, door handle on bathroom broken by worker when painting door. Also, lighting sconce not attached to wall properly so fell off wall after worker left. The worst day was the painting day. They stained the wood trim and painted the wall at the same time. The stain bled onto the wall, tile, rain down the trim and pooled on the floor. The wall paint was not neat and ran over the top of the tile. They did try to fix it as best they could and got most of the stain off of the vinyl flooring and painted over the smeared caulk so it looks okay. In general there seem to not be enough supervision of the workers. We had the feeling that as the company is growing they are having a hard time staying organized and maybe had too many jobs going on at once. It is a good company that just needs to find its way. Again, very nice people who worked hard to try and fix problems, but one would expect a professional company to not have so many problems that need fixing.

Job completed on time and on budget. Workmen were professional and friendly. I will use them again for another remodeling project.

Everyone was on time, on schedule - I could not have been happier. The work men were all polite & hard working.

Timeliness of service was 45 days, actually took 82(14 days were my fault) so 68 days was how longed took Booker's team to complete job.Kitchen is fine, but ceiling is crooked, billing was instant & I had to go through every line item to confirm always, multiple errors were found on every bill.

Call to booher. They came out quickly , gave extremely my onside eat, my cover. He did an excellent job.

The workers were on time and professional. The order was placed for the extra special mirrors for my husband and the crew worked to make the change in our plan. We are very happy with the results.

Overall, we are satisfied with the work. They did excellant work on the flooring and the river rock on the fireplace. We were not happy with how the limestone hearth looked as first installed, but Booher agreed to redo it without charge if we paid for another piece of limestone. The work on the bar was well done. Two of the new cabinet doors were damaged when the granite countertop was installed, but Booher replaced them. The drywall and wood trim work was good, although I was surprised they did not fill the nail holes on the wood trim which left it looking unfinished. I filled them myself, and it looks much better now.

Rob Booher himself came to the initial interview. He was accommodating and thoughtful. We kicked around some ideas and settled on one that seemed best. As I was selecting items, Rob was responsive to emails and was accurate on pricing. John was the project manager. He met with me and explained the timeline. He gave me a spreadsheet with the approximate dates of each task in the project. John was quick to answer phone calls and emails. He kept me up to date with scheduling changes. John's got an easy way about him - very reassuring. If there is any problem, no matter how small, he takes responsibility and makes it right. The subs they used were competent and clean. the room was done quickly. So many of my friends were amazed. The price would have been much lower but my husband and I chose some upgrades that increased the price.

The overall experience was productiove, meaningful and satisfactory. When comopletedeverything worked and everything was great as there were no come-bachs necessary yet we have a two-year warrenty on the products and work.
