The salesman was polite. The price too high.

Wow, this experience was so awful I was moved to submit this report within minutes of the salesman leaving! I see several other comments regarding big pressure sales pitch. I would also go as far as adding 'hostile' to the horrible sales pitch. He started it off poorly with a sexist comment about women "not cleaning gutters anymore, like girls used to..." and it didn't get much better after that. He went through his pitch and I think his product is ok, although I don't think it's maintenance-free as he claimed. After he gave me a price with 2 discounts I explained that our time frame was 6 months away. Then the hostile part started. He insulted my intelligence by saying a college student wouldn't remember his pitch two days later so I surely wasn't going to (I'm paraphrasing but you get gist). At the patio show I don't remember there being a stipulation that the estimate must be for work done in the next month! As he kept pushing his case he huffed and puffed and eye-rolled as I resisted signing any commitment. He said the "zone discount" was related to doing work all in one area or maybe having the s

It went pretty well. When they first did the leaf guards, they damaged the gutters, so they came out and put new gutters up. They didn't argue about it and did a good job on it, so I was pleased with the work.

The salesman gave me the feeling the company is running some kind of fly-by-night con game. He gave a high pressure sales pitch and reduced the price by about 45%, but only if I signed a contract right then and there. Oh, and he wanted half of the money up front. If I wanted to think about for a day, I had to pay full price. After, I said no a few times, the guy was still in my house and didn't seem to want to leave. I had to tell him to get the !@#$! out. In my opinion, this company is clearly looking to take advantage of people. Whether they offer a good product in return I'll never know. I suggest trying one of the other companies found on Angie's List.

Turned our name in at the Flower & Patio Show for an energy survey. Salesman called on us two days later. He performed a heat loss survey throughout our home. Surprising us by mentioning our windows were still in good condition. Our problem was our attic (as we already knew). The salesman became pushy when we wanted to sleep on spending this much money, and said we would not get the "special" package if we did not agree that night. We left the table for a few minutes, checked Angies List on this company, went back to the table feeling more comfortable and signed the contract. The original install date was to be in April, but they had a cancellation and came five days after signing to install. The installers were GREAT, very efficient, cleaned up well after the installation. They were finished in less than half a day. We have already noticed a change in the comfort level of our home. We are going to be checking for the promised 25% minimum energy saving on our gas/electric bills.

I had an appointment on 3/24/2011 at 10am for an inspection/estimate. They never showed and never called and I was unable to reach them by phone. I guess they did not want my business but were too shy to tell me.

First rep was very thorough but I could not afford the product & service. Second rep was good and very thorough but visit took too long. Still cannot afford the product/service. Like the product very much, though.

I loved them. They had done the other windows in the rest of my house and I loved them. I had them replaced in '85 or '86 and they were perfect. If you look at them now you couldn't tell that they weren't just a couple of years old. This was the reason why I wanted to use these same windows for my new room. Two young men came out, they were punctual, showed up ready to work, and had everything to do the work. They did the work extremely well and even cleaned up after themselves. I was just tickled pink.

The installation was completed in two shifts. The downstairs windows installed in the Summer, the rest in October. This allowed for easier payment, which was appreciated. I was quite impressed with the crew sent out. They consistently cleaned up after themselves and were good workers overall. The salesman was somewhat pushy, but we were very happy with the end result. The price was also somewhat high, but I didn't really comparison shop. I also felt I paid for a high quality product and service. The house looks very nice with the new windows, really adding to the curb appeal.

The company had a display booth at the Irvington Halloween Festival. I gave them my name and they contacted me within a week. I met with a salesperson in my home and he was very friendly and cordial. Knowing that I was interested he and I worked down the price to the stated amount. I put down half the price as a downpayment. They scheduled the installation within a week and completed the work in two days (the first day being a half day due to rain). The installers were professional and friendly, and cleaned up after their work. A representative came by the next day to collect the remaining payment. A company official who actually helped develop the gutter cover came by within a week to inspect the work and do a follow-up. The work and everyone involved was very professional.

It was a wonderful experience. They were very informative about everything they were doing. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was done on time. They also went out of there way and replaced some additional window screens in our home with no additional charge. I would recommend them to anyone who was interested in having a sun room built on.

Saw the company at the Riley Festival. They looked at the house and gave an estimate. An agreement was made. The company made a call to set a date for installation. The gutter covers were installed as described. A few days later the gutters were checked. It just happened to be raining. The gutters were working as expected.

We had purchased Original Gutter Cover from SHO-PRO and have had a wonderful experience. When we learned of a new product they offered which would make our home more comfortable, we were eager to hear more about it. We were anxious to take advantage of the investment in this product and we believe it will pay for itself and then some with energy savings, and added comfort. We were highly impressed with the appearance and manner of the Representative and Installers. As is normal with SHO-PRO employees, we are comfortable letting them come into our home. We would and have recommended SHO-PRO to anyone doing work to their home. We know from expierence, when you pay for excellence, you get excellence.

Our experience with Sho-Pro has been positive from the beginning. We first met Sho-Pro at a community event booth. We asked for a representative to come to our home to discuss Gutter Covers. Our sales representative was informative,helpful and never pushy. He worked with us to keep our cost as low as possible which was greatly appreciated. The work was done within a week. All promise of work to be done was completed. The installers finished the job efficiently and professionally (inspite of a unexpected rain shower). A follow-up visit by the company's quality control inspector, shows just how seriously this company takes their job promises. We hope to have some additional work done by Sho-Pro in the future. They are a great company with which to work.

Sho Pro installed the Origional Gutter Covers in March of 2006 and in August of 2006 we had a hail storm that damaged them. Our insurance company was only going to give us a minimal amount for them but Sho Pro contacted them and they got full replacement cost for them. Both times the work was completed in a timely manner. These are quality covers that preform well and I would not only recommend them, but I would certainly call upon Sho Pro for future home improvements. A+

Went okay, but I have a feeling I was pressured and over-priced.

If you are considering purchasing new gutters and gutter covers, do not settle on just the estimate you get from Sho-Pro of Indiana. Get on the internet and listen to the presentation from Gutter Covers of Indiana, something we should have done before we signed the contract with Sho-Pro. The high pressure salesman from Sho-Pro started out with a price of $11,000 and then lowered the price three times until we settled on $7585. The salesman then indicated that if they had to make another trip to our house , the price would be different. They offer a 3-day right of recession but they require it to be in their office in a three day period. Sho-Pro also wanted half of the purchase price upfront. The presentation by Gutter Covers of Indiana says you do not need to give money upfront. After talking to a couple of people who deal in construction, we realized the price was out of line. We sent our measurements to Gutter Covers of Indiana but did not include the price that Sho-Pro had given us. When we received the estimate back from Gutter Covers it was $2300. We contacted our attorney and gave her the estimate plus the piece of paper from Sho-Pro called "Gutter Protecton Selection". which we received at the time of presentation. Sho-Pro responded back with a copy of an "Original Gutter Cover 30 Day Money Back Guarantee" with 5 stipulations that had to be met. We did not receive this guarantee at the presentaion or when the job was complete. Make sure to ask to receive a copy of this paper when they are making their presentation. Some of the stipulations include: other companies must have at least 10 employees, 20 installed gutter cover jobs with the address, locations, same warranties, specifications on material, application methods,and the list goes on. Just do your homework by getting at least 3 estimates and don't be put on the spot to sign that day. Sho-Pro is way to expensive so shop around before you buy. So much for their money back guarantee. Also be sure to read all the fine print that is on the back of the contract.

I had to call them a few different times to have the gutters cleaned since the guards were not working. The gutters were plugged up and I had to have them come back and clean things out. This was after numerous postponements and phone calls on my part. They informed me the maple seeds needed to be cleaned off the roof to prevent this in the future. This defeats the purpose of me not having to climb on the roof to clean the gutters; now I am cleaning the roof instead.

The process itself wasn't so bad, the salesman pitch is your typical "buy it tonight and I'll take an additional 10% off" thing. For that much money its worth getting more than one estimate or at least have a good idea how much you want to spend. The installation went by fine, the installers were very nice and did a good job. I wasn't able to inspect the work on the day they finished, and a few weeks later I found a problem with the inside casing of a small bathroom window. They called later to check on the windows and I told them about it to which they said the service people would call me back. They never did, but I haven't called them back either. In the end, they are an ok place, but are there better out there? I'm sure. By the way, the windows themselves are great.

Very interesting experience with this group. I called Sho-Pro in search of some information regarding gutter covers. Like others have reported, the woman who answered the phone was abrupt. They had an appointment right away and came out 2 days later in the evening to meet me and my wife (yes, we both had to be there). The sales person showed up in his own truck (which surprised me because the company is 26 years old and supposedly well established), wearing blue jeans, a button down shirt, and smelling of cigarette smoke. He and I walked outside to view the house, with him giving his thoughts on my gutters, soffetts, etc. After he took measurements, he came inside to speak with my wife and myself. He reviewed a binder with us which showed the importance of gutters to a home. This binder also had all of the company's policies, BBB status, etc within it. We told him we would read the policy later, as I am the type who reads the fine print. He then gave us another binder of 'work' his company has done which he wanted us to review while he calculated costs. This binder had very little examples of Sho-Pro's work, but mainly showed why/how other gutter systems fail. At the end of this book was a letter from the owner, which stated that his company only hires the best, uses the best materials, etc...and that the only way to reduce the cost to the customer is to reduce the amount of time setting up a sale. 1 sales trip = a certain % off. 2 trips = less off. 3 = less...etc. So, they were offering us a discount of 15% if we agreed to the contract right then and there. 15% of 11k for new gutters, covers, and some other work is a deep discount. However, my wife and myself are definately not willing to make such decisions without investigating first. We asked him to step out a second and talked over our strategy. He came back in and we told him we needed at least 2 days to talk it over. He squirmed around a bit, trying to talk us out of it, giving us some other possibilities, and even calling his 'boss.' He continued to pressure us into signing right then and there. Shortly after, we asked him to leave. So, ultimately, my wife and myself really like their product and think it can work. But their sales/customer service really make you wonder about the honesty/validity of this company. We have been looking for gutters/covers for about a year now, and have met with 3 other companies. This is the first time I have honestly felt strong enough about a company to say: be wary!!!

Do not use this company for 4 season rooms. Don Lee is cooperative until he is questioned about procedures and building standards. Can not depend on the company getting the proper permits or calling for inspections. Sho Pro will rush to get the financial paper signed and promise to finish work after they are signed but will not follow through with verbal agreements. Limitation of 1 year for problems and they must be in writing. Had to involve legal assistance even to initiate proper remediation of building issues-still no resolved. Don Lee took pictures of the interior of my home without my consent and which did not relate to the building process and provided them to others (city inspector's office)

They were very good. They did a good job. We heard about them through a home and garden show. Once the original job was done, they weren't that interested in coming back to fix some small things.

The work turned out well. It was expensive, but we had expected that. They charged $2200 for the job. As we don’t have any reference for price comparison, we can’t comment on their price. They were extremely responsive, punctual and professional. They were really great. We’ll definitely use him again.

They were prompt and it looks like a very good job.
