This is only a limited summary. Buyer, especially seniors, BEWARE! Average product, but very poor installation quality and workmanship. BCI-BathPlanet of Indianapolis arrived an hour late without calling, and no return calls from the office, sales rep., or service manager. They damaged three areas of an adjoining wall into another room using a Sawzall. And, they left without telling me. I had to cleanup the paint and drywall debris. The next day they arrived, and I showed they the damage. They admitted they damaged the wall using the Sawzall. I withheld $500 of my payment. It should have been at least $4,000. They promised the following business day, a Monday, they would have someone call to make the repair that day, but they did not show and did not call. When I called their Customer Service, BCI-BathPlanet would not return my calls total of about 20 times. I had to stop by their office twice but they claimed "there was nothing they could do" to make the service manager return calls. They refused to have the owner call me. Our sales rep. used deceptive sales practices by claiming to be a part-owner. The office told me he was not a part owner. When I visited the office they said I could only talk with the service manager. Shower shelves fell off the walls. Caulking was very poor. After almost three months they finally attempted to make some initial repairs. So.e were satisfactory, but others were so bad I had them remove parts of the decorative trim because they said "it was the best they could do".

They did not do the job right. On the first day they installed the shower. They put the wrong color shower handle and told me they were sorry but they were going to fix the issue. So my shower head and shower handle are different colors. As the installer was doing his job, he was also training a guy and having make cuts. Many of the panel cuts are not straight and they also puncture holes on the ceiling. The bathroom upstairs was leaking water and they had to come two days later because it was leaking water to my downstairs bathroom. The installer was polite but the work was poor. It’s September 8th 2022 and my bathrooms are not fixed. 20,000 to upgrade two bathrooms and they could not get it right or fixed the problem. Court is the next step.

I had windows installed in my home in 2002 with a lifetime warranty. The windows need warranty work. I have tried numerous times to get some work done. When I would call, I was transferred to a voice mail box, but NEVER received a call back. This time, I contacted the office and spoke to the operator, Linda, who was very nice to talk with. She stated after checking that Sho-Pro no longer did business with the manufacturer of my windows, Alside, and that I should call them. I contacted Alside and they show that the tags on the windows show that Alside was not the manufacturer. I called Sho-Pro back and talked to Linda and she stated she would have the appropriate person contact me. As with my other contacts with Sho-Pro, NO ONE ever called me back. The only one who answers the phone is the operator. Due to the continual lack of communication, I would not recommend doing business with Sho-Pro of Indiana.

We had Sho Pro do a full attic insulation job in January 2018 after having them in our home in December 2017. During that initial meeting, I was told they GUARANTEE a 25% reduction in utility bills and I flat out asked the crooked salesman what happens if we don't get that and when he wasn't able to provide a good answer, I should have ended the conversation then. We waited 6 months without seeing any savings whatsoever and contacted them and they sent people back to our house 2 different times (one of those times being after they rescheduled on me at the last minute). After a few more months, still nothing so once again we contacted them and was told we had to give it 1 full year. We waited that one full year and here we are now 1.5 years later and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. They sent some shady rep to our house and he brought out this "formula" they use that apparently includes "degree days" and claimed the cost of our electricity itself had gone up even though I literally had EVERYTHING 100% documented showing that was not the case. Our average for the 12 months prior to the installation was $172.37 and then after was $201.23. Does anyone see those numbers and understand where they get a 25% savings from? After their excuses over and over, they presented us with a check for roughly $120 which doesn't even cover the average INCREASE of bills that we saw let alone the 25% SAVINGS we were GUARANTEED. DO NOT TRUST SHO-PRO FOR ANYTHING. THEY WILL LIE AND CHEAT THEIR WAY OUT OF HELPING YOU OR STANDING BY THEIR OWN WORD! I will gladly provide written documentation showing our electric bills for the past 5 years if anyone would like to see them.

Many inspections were made on this customer'[Member Information Removed] property to make certain project was installed correctly. Rarely but sometimes customers do not agree with the terms of the warranty which states... The savings made cannot be calculated in dollars and cents as energy costs will continue to rise in the future as they did in your situation. We did agree to save you energy usage as the warranty states. Any lack of savings of energy usage was reimbursed to you.

I talked to someone at energy shield over the phone. Energy Shield tried to sell me this energy inspection, and I told them all I needed right now was attic insulation. Energy shield told me not a problem they can send someone to look just in the attic. A salesman comes to my house at the agreed upon time. The salesman tried to sell me an energy inspection for $50.00. I told him I had already declined the energy inspection over the phone and just needed a quote on attic insulation. The salesman asks where my attic is located. I tell him in the garage. He then asks if he can come in-house and talk to me. The salesman has not even looked in the attic yet. So there is not anything to talk about yet. I tell him no. Then he keeps pushing this energy inspection on me. I told him since he was not interested in looking in my attic he could leave. So he left. That was a waste of my time off work. He was supposed to look at the attic and never did. He just wanted to come to my house and talk about an energy inspection which I had told them three times I was not interested. Pushy salesman.

Our energy efficiency inspectors do not charge or collect any money for an energy inspection when they visit the home unless the potential customer does not own the home and then the appointment setter arranges for the payment on the telephone before the appointment is issued. The cost of an energy inspection for a non-homeowner when their is time to complete one is $250 not $50. The energy inspection with this person was on a NO-COST (FREE) basis and she agreed to this by telephone as we would have not scheduled with her. She did not decline the energy efficiency inspection over the telephone as she stated in this review. This person also stated she took time from work and our records show she told us she did not have to work on the Tuesday we visited her.

The salesman came for an "energy inspection" and made a lot of promises. We were so excited to "save 25% on our energy bills" that we signed the contract that night. I wish we would have waited and gotten another estimate. I wish we would have waited to get that savings guarantee in writing. They came a few weeks later and installed the insulation. That was painless enough. It was in August and I did noticed our 2nd floor felt a little cooler. But after several months we saw NO SAVINGS on our energy bills. Now it's winter and it is very cold out, again NO SAVINGS on our winter energy bills. The upstairs is a little warmer than previous winters. Also, it's been a few months and we were supposed to get a $500 energy bill rebate, where they reimburse us the cost of 2 months worth of energy bills ( for us it was around $380). I have not heard back about that. I almost don't want to waste my time to call them, because they have been non-responsive in previous calls. After the attic installation one of the closet lights stopped working. I called about it, they said someone would call me back. No one ever did.

This gentleman's wife explained that Mr.___ was possibly having some memory issues with his business activities. We installed over 11 projects on these people's property where they presently live. Sunroom, windows, Energy Efficiency projects, gutters, gutter protection, entry doors, and several others. We are disappointed that we did have some issues - then corrected all issues and Mr. said he would change his comments here and he did not. We do understand when people can not remember to do what they say.

I have two issues that I need addressed. Back in October 2015 I had energy shield installed at my home with the promise of saving all this money and that I would also get a $500 energy claim rebate. Well neither have come true. I had my bills from the previous year and compared heating/cooling degree days. There was little if any savings. I spoke with Don @ Sho Pro back in December 2, 2016. He asked for copies of my electric bills for the previous 2 years. I scanned and sent them to him. Did follow up phone calls to insure he received them on 12/7/2016. He said they would have someone analyze them. And hoped to get started that week. My last phone call was on March 27 2017. The operator said they would write him a message to contact me and make sure he got it. I had left several phone messages with no return call. On this basis I believe it is all a scam.

We do apologize for this misunderstanding. The rebate form was never received and was needed prior to expiring deadline. We have not been able to locate the utility bills from this customer he says were sent in early 2017. If he would resend those bills we will have reviewed. A guy came to measure the existing windows so that the new ones could be fabricated. He was very rude and clearly did not want to be there. I was later told that he quit without notice a few weeks later. The man that came to install the windows showed up on Friday, took one look around the house, and said that he couldn't do it alone and would have to come back on Saturday with someone to help him. The Installer was very nice and professional, though he did tell me that the guy who measured the windows made some mistakes that we were going to have to deal with. After the windows were installed and the inside trim was finished he said that he would come back Sunday to finish the outside. At the end of Sunday he said that he didn't have enough aluminum in the truck to finish the job. He said he'd swing by within a week to finish it. That was 10 weeks ago. The outside trim has not been finished and the company won't return my calls. Their main number goes straight to voicemail. I was also supposed to get a replacement glass for my sliding door that the company installed a few years ago. That has not showed up.

It cost me $4,000, which was way, skyrocketing not right. I think we could have got it done cheaper. They left out giving me some information. It takes them forever to get back with me on certain things. I wasn't sure if it was really the greatest job up there. He did recently switch out but they did not give us the right service stat. We finally got it from them, but if they would have given us the right one in the first place it would have helped. They are to darn expensive; it was extremely overpriced.

So far, I haven't gotten the 25% energy savings. It was pretty good. The actual quality of the work wasn't up to my standards but they said that that should suffice. In other words, they seemed to have holes were heat could leak through but they said that shouldn't affect the savings. I am trying to get them to fix or pay me back. They are at various home shows and so I have told them my dissatisfaction and they said they would have someone call me and no one has ever called me. But now I've got their phone number in front of me so that I can actually call them.
Description of Work: They put in an energy shield insulator in our attic and it was supposed to save us 25% off of our energy usage, guaranteed.

We believe this is a bogus report as this prospect, [Member Name Removed] says she did business with our firm and we have no record of her unless she purchased under a different name? We have no prospect or customer by this name or have never completed an energy inspection at this address. We believe some of these reports are bogus and challenge the credibility of the people verifying that these are the people the report says who they are.

All work was completed in 1 day, and was very, very professional. We were shown a short install film prior to signing up for this project and were amazed. We are so happy we had this done. Recently a very close friend of ours came to visit for several days and commented on how quiet our house is. Note, she slept in our guest room that has french doors that open to our deck, and our back room was a 3 season room , but now it is a year round room. This room has 9 windows and an outside door to our deck, with all the windows and the door, this room is very quiet!
Description of Work: Provider installed "Retro Foam" in exterior walls of our home. Siding was taken off, holes drilled and filled with "Retro Foam", holes were sealed and siding replaced. You cannot tell from the outside of the house that anything was done. However, this is definitely made our home more sound proof and really helps with heating and cooling.

Work was finished in 2 days and has really, really helped with our energy bill. Every Sho-Pro employee we dealt with was extremely professional, polite and answered any questions, etc. that we had. Plus all phases of work were thoroughly followed up and inspected by management.
Description of Work: Provider installed "Energy Shield" reflective blanket over entire living areas in our home. Also, we have 2 attic accesses and they installed attic "caps" on both, plus installed reflective blanket on water heater, installed a home energy tracker and installed insulators on all outer wall outlets.

The entire job was done in 1 day and we couldn't be more pleased and happier. We have a friend who is a retired Tucker real estate agent who wanted to see the house after the project was completed and he stated: "The outside curb appeal definitely added to the value of our home due to NO maintenance ever needed to the exterior and it looks great".
Description of Work: Provider installed all new gutters, gutter covers, downspouts, covered fascia and soffit and wrapped entire house so there is no need for us to paint ANYTHING!

We couldn't be happier! We are very pleased with all of the work Sho-Pro performed, they have been excellent on any follow up we have requested.
Description of Work: Prior to insulation install. Approx. 1 year ago, Energy Shield was installed in our attic, then they replaced all gutters and downspouts and wrapped our house, so there would be no more painting. The $5,000.00 we spent on 2/11/15 was for installation of "Retrofoam" in our exterior walls. Not only does it help with heating/cooling it is also reduced any outside noises by at least 95% (or more).

The initial installation happened very quickly after we made the purchase - within a week's time. The workers were very quick and removed all the construction debris. We contacted them again after a hail storm, and a company representative arrived within a day to verify the damage. They removed the damaged gutter covers prior to the roofing company coming to replace the roof. They were very flexible in timing, as they said to call when the roof was done so they could install the replacement covers. Basically, no hassles, no fuss.
Description of Work: The company installed the Original Gutter Cover for our gutters. After a recent hail storm, I contacted them for possible replacement, and they will replace at original cost. They also submitted the necessary information for me to my insurance company.

Con - Bad installation experience: We contacted Sho-Pro at a local home show. Their representative did an energy survey, and indicated that our existing insulation was borderline adequate, but not awful. There was no pressure to purchase. We were given a time frame in which to expect a scheduling call. I ended up calling them after they did not respond in the specified time. I was told that the installers would call within the following week to set up the installation. Again, I had to call them before the appointment was made. The installers were not properly prepared for the job when they arrived. Sho-Pro representatives had visited twice to measure and plan the job. Most of the exterior has vinyl siding, but one wall has brick facia. Installation requires temporary removal of siding or drilling through the mortar between bricks. They came without the filler to close up holes in the mortar. They bought some locally, but it was not a color match - grey filler on tan mortar. I was told that they would obtain a color match and schedule a return visit. Again, I had to prod them to get the service call scheduled. About a week after the holes were filled, a section of my siding fell off. THEY HAD NOT RENAILDED THE SIDING that was remove during the installation process. This time, they returned two days after my call. I cannot address the competence of the other divisions of Sho-Pro, but if anyone is interested in RetroFoam, I strongly recommend that they find a different company for the installation. Pro - Service exceeding requirements: The room where we had RetroFoam installed is a garage converted to living space. There were some structural problems with the wall that was added where the garage door was, and some buckling occurred in the drywall. Even though it was not due to any fault on their part, Sho-Pro replaced the drywall at their own expense. Pro - Product performance: The room is now quieter - noise from outside is reduced. The room also has less variation in temperature during the day and is more comfortable. This is the result we expected. We are happy with the end result, but had we known that the process would be so full of missteps, we would have not done it.

I think he evaluated, demonstrated and explained well. We tried to explain to Mr. Torkelson that we needed time to review and reflect on this unexpected product and new information, especially due to recent experiences. I think our honesty made us appear vulnerable, encouraging pressure. We assured him he had explained the product to our satisfaction and exhausted our current need for info. For my review of Sho-Pro I have to say the time we committed to their representative was MUCH, MUCH more than we expected and being in our house that long was not respected by Mr. Torkelson's departing attitude and "sales pressure" statements. Assuming his evaluation is accurate and his product is worthy, for wisdom and responsible living we are still obligated to research. And he could not show any proof of insurance, only an outline, to be verified long after the contract waiting period. These levels of "salesmanship" left us uncertain about the company and the product, which are matched by the "B" score on your list. We will still consider this offer but with caution.
Description of Work: This sales visit was the result of interest shown at the recent Indy Home Show. He Provided a review of our home for foam wall insulation; Measured and overviewed home and Reviewed temperature levels within living spaces of home.He Recommended no foam wall insulation but a reflective blanket method for attic insulation called "energy shield". Mr. Torkelson examined, estimated, explained, expounded, presented and figured but left without a signed contract after 4 hours of work and our time.

The salesman arrived on time. The estimate took over 2-a-half-hours and was not just an estimate. He was very pushy and wanted us to sign documents that day. All we wanted was an estimate. We had heard good things about this company, but after this experience would never hire them or suggest to our family/friends. After being told that we only wanted an estimate and wasn't prepared to sign anything that day, he continued telling how great the product was and that all offers made would walk out the door with him if we didn't sign. I could've also done without the NASA lesson and constant vomiting of alleged stats from one national study or another. I did my research, as do most consumers. I planned, at most, an hour for this as I had already had two other companies out. They each took actual measurements and provided pricing information, all within a 30 min max visit. Sho Pro didn't even measure anything? We told him the approx. square footage. He was more concerned about the type of thermostat on the wall and that we didn't have our water heater wrapped. Part of his pitch was financial seminar that was presented in an elementary fashion and very insulting. WE ASKED FOR AN INSULATION ESTIMATE - that is all.
