Jeff at Barton Pool's was fabulous. My pool was costing me a fortune in chemicals. Every time, I took my sample to be tested it was something else. My brother said, he uses Barton Pools. I hate to admit it but he was right. Jeff was honest! He gave me several options. Explained the cost to switch to salt water and the benefits. Also, what would be an approximate cost yearly. They service it every week for me and if I have a problem they are there not a week or two later. I have found that Barton Pool Company have been honest, efficient, reliable and there when i needed them!!

I called Jeff Barton in the spring for a major pool overhaul. His company was prompt and professional. They completed the work in a timely manner (2 weeks from start to finish) and were great with follow-up. I was so impressed that I then hired them to fit our pool and spa with a remote control and service our pool bi-weekly. The remote control has made our rather complicated pool very easy to operate. Our pool has never looked clearer or been more problem-free since we hired Barton Pool Company. We've worked with 4 different pool companies in the last 6 years and finally found the "right" one.

I have used Barton since they opened about 8 years ago. Prior to that I had used numerous other companies and was always dissatisfied and over-charged. None compare to Barton. My pool has not been cloudy in 8 years. They open and close the pool. They have replaced my pool liner and it fit like a glove. Replaced the heater, pump motor and filter over the last 8 years -- all work done on time, expertly with no problems and at a reasonable price. Their staff is very knowledgeable, courteous and professional. If a problem arises they have always gone out of their way to send a serviceman within hours. They are the very best. Jeff and his team are quick to respond as well as suggest alternatives for repair and/or replacement of parts. At other times, they have provided trouble-shooting ideas which have eliminated the need for a service call. We highly recommend this company

After only using our new Rheim pool heater on just 2 occasions from May until July, this summer 2016, the heater developed a rather large leak at the intake line manifold header. I called Barton Pool Co. immediately on 07/11/2016, spoke to Claudia and thank goodness Steve returned to look into the problem the next morning 07/12/2016 . He immediately realized there was a problem with the manifold that he thought may have been created at the factory. He first replaced a gasket on the manifold. After restarting the pump he noticed that there was still a leak in the casting of the manifold, a tiny crack had developed. He then had to order a new manifold header. After picking up the new manifold he came to install the part on that following Thursday. Steve also re-plumbed our water line with a bypass of the heater and installed a new Chlorine Feeder. All excellently installed. All in all we cannot thank Barton pool, and especially Steve, for their promptness, care, professionalism and expert suggestions in the care of our 20' x 40' pool. It is our summer paradise. A few years ago Barton replaced our pool liner and did a beautiful job. My wife Cathy and I are very thankful to them and will continue to use Jeff and his company, and Steve, for as long as we live at this address.

Each time we've called Barton Pools, they have quickly figured out what was causing the issue. They have measured the pool for a new liner and they made that easy even though we've had 2 in less than 2 years (no fault of BP.) When needed, they've come back in a timely fashion and finished the job. I will also say that whenever it has been a mechanical issue, they've been spot on about what was causing the problem the first time and gotten our pool back up and running! Call early to schedule your opening and closing as their calendar gets super full at those times!

They did a beautiful job. We shifted all of our weekly pool maintenance to Barton Pool and have had them remedy some aging issues with equipment as well. This is after having done my own routine maintenance during the pool season. They are responsive and good at what they do. Having been a pool owner in two locations for about 25 years, we know the difference in skills and professionalism . We would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Barton Pools has always been great in helping me to get my problems resolved. They have done a great job closing my pool the past couple of years and helped me to get my new pool up and running. I enjoy that they work with me, and are attentive to my needs since I do some of the work myself. I will continue to use them.

I absolutely LOVE Barton Pool Service. I switched from a different pool maintenance company and could not be happier with the way that they have turned my pool around! It looks like a brand new pool! When my light randomly came out of the pool wall, they came right out and replaced it the very next day! Also, their prices are EXTREMELY reasonable and competitive! To me, I love not having to not having to worry about my pool and having Barton Pool to take care of everything!

I contacted Jeff on 3/9/15 with a picture, explaining that I wanted to get on his schedule before the busy opening season. I requested that we fix the leak, get a new cover and open the pool at first opportunity. I have called 7 times since then and have never received a call back. Very disappointing to have an issue and have your pool service provider ignore you.

His name is Jeff Barton. He did a great job on the liner.

Jeff is very knowledgeable and that is why we have stuck with him. Once he comes out, he is very good at what he does. However, customer service is lacking. Def don't feel like a valued customer. Still waiting for them to come back out because the housing that they replaced is still leaking. He usually doesn't come when he says he will. I have to call a few times. After we had a heater and filter installed in May they just left without talking to me, which was fine, but again lacking customer service. I always say we're going to use someone else, but end up calling him back. I don't know after this. Might start looking for a new company. I don't have the energy to keep calling trying to get them to come out.

Nothing more we can say. He is just the best. Hire him.

Price was fair and the end result turned out well. Nice guy to work with but can be hard to get ahold of.

Jeff Barton is wonderful to work with. He and his crew did an outstanding job. They completed the job quickly and efficiently.

This is the first year that I've been able to use my pool without any problems. They rebuilt the pool with motors and sealants, and basically helped me use my pool as if it was brand new. They are monitoring our water levels. They are very courteous and I would give them an A+

I cannot say enough about the effort Jeff put forth to ensure the liner was properly installed into my pool. Jeff worked with me to choose a liner pattern to match my taste. The liner was promptly delivered for installation. The hard part of the job came during installation. Due to a high water table, the pool kept filling with ground water. To properly install a new liner, the bottom of the pool should be dry to ensure the liner properly forms to the bottom of the pool. Jeff worked over an entire weekend to ensure the pool bottom was properly prepared for installation. Jeff and his team successfully prepared the pool for a fantastic installation. Additionally, Jeff has a great sense of customer service. Jeff communicated with me during every step of the process from ordering to completion. I can't wait for warmer weather to enjoy a fantastic looking pool!

After pool liner was installed the pool lost water which I reported to Jeff Barton. He came out several times but the pool continued to lose water. He was supposed to repair the leak this spring/summer as he did other work but he never resolved the problem. I have spent money all summer continually adding water to the pool. Jeff Barton hasn't returned my calls or e-mails since July of current year. I had another pool guy out to do leak detection at a cost of $550 and he found that the major leak was at the pool steps and his indication to me was that the liner at the steps was improperly done when the new liner was installed last summer.

I was referred to Barton Pool Company by a friend. I had some not-so-positive experiences with my previous pool company in the last couple of years and was looking for another company to open and close my pool. I called Jeff and spoke with him about the prospect of him taking on my pool. He placed me on his schedule for the following week. He was supposed to come on Wednesday, but did not. He called me same day and said that he was trying to wait out the torrential rains we were having - no problem for me - and told me he would come the next day. I told him that he could wait to the next week that I thought the weather was going to get a little warmer. He insisted on coming out next day. He did exactly what he said he was going to do. I had never met him and trusted that he would follow through for me - especially since he was referred by one of his customers - and he did not let me down. I found Jeff and Barton Pool Co. to be very conscientious and knowledgeable. I am a picky person and expect that you do what you say you are going to do. I hope to have a long-term relationship with Barton Pool Company

Contracted with Jeff Barton to have concrete and deck torn out and pavers installed on patio and around my pool. Job was quoted as a three week job which began on April 12th. Job site was mostly idle for 3-1/2 weeks after concrete excavation was completed then work was intermittent and of short daily duration for the next month. Condition of back yard, with deep ruts, mud, and standing water left backyard inaccessible to get mower back there and the landscaper I hired had to postpone his work and finally told me he would prefer not to do the project due to the repeated delays and time constraint before my daughter's graduation party first weekend of June. Standing water left a foul odor in the backyard at times and the mosquitos were horrible. A pair of ducks took up residence on my pool where the automatic pool cover was removed in mid April and green algae took over. Barton would like to blame the weather for the delays and I will agree that weather was a factor. He argued that there were not enough consecutive rain free days for the ground to dry out so they could work. But during the mostly idle period in the month of May from May 4th to May 21st there was total cumulative rainfall of less than 1" reported by the National Weather Service. Barton originally quoted a particular type of thin paver which is installed over concrete then later told me for the same cost I could select other brand name regular pavers, which I did. He later admitted that he was not qualified to install that type of paver and he was subcontracting that portion of the job. Jeff committed to having the job completed before Memorial Day weekend and repeatedly assured me he would meet that schedule but not one paver had been laid as of noon on 5/27. The night before my daughter's graduation pool party the first weekend of June the crew worked until 10 pm and the yard was still not what I would deem presentable for guests. The temporary stoop that he cobbled up to allow us to get out the back door for the party was unsafe with a paver tipping off the edge more than once almost causing falls and landing on the heel of one guest's foot as she stepped off the stoop. That temporary stoop was not replaced and secured until at least 4-5 weeks later. Damage done to my sprinkler system has not been repaired though the company who maintains my sprinkler system sent Jeff an estimate in August. Repeated phone calls, voicemails, e-mails, and text messages went unanswered over the course of the project. Voicemail on two cell phones was full for days at a time. I let Jeff bid on this project because he has opened and closed my pool and done repairs for the past couple of years and he assured me that he has done many jobs of this type. For the most part his work in the past has been satisfactory (except for a leak in the new pool liner he installed last summer which he commited to locate and repair as part of the scope of work for this job - pool is still losing water). My only criticism of his company prior to now is that he was not timely in returning phone calls. It is now September 19th and my job is still not completed. Repeated e-mails and text messages dating back to July 20 have not been responded to. I have since had another pool guy out to do leak detection on my pool (that Barton was supposed to do and did not). He informed me that the bulges in the sides of my pool that I previously asked Jeff Barton about are due to the fact that Barton and his subcontractor overly compacted the stone for the pavers and damaged the walls of the pool making them bulge inward so that the pool walls and curved corners are rippled rather than flat and straight.

The above experience went very well and we were looking forward to doing future business with Jeff when weather allowed, to replace the pool liner and have the pool opened. As spring approaced, we hadn't heard from Jeff, so we called (approximately mid to late April) to confirm we were still "on hist list" and to get an estimate of a work start date. Given the torrential rains this spring, it was difficult for Jeff to predict a start time, but he was friendly and positive and promised to stay in touch - according to Jeff, he could not remove the old liner until the ground water subsided a bit. Weeks went by, now into early May and we again called Jeff and left two separate voice mails - inquiring about a start date. No return calls, even after two ('please call to confirm you still want our business' type calls). We were planning to entertain over the Memorial day holiday and were getting anxious about pool opening. The emphasis in the voice mails was not "we want our pool for Memorial Day, as much as 'it is most important to us that people we do business with communicate openly; we know you can't control the weather, etc but please stay in touch!'" He finally left a voice mail days later stating he had lost his cell phone but had now received our messages and was ready to start work on our pool. By that time, we had inquired with and began business with another Angie's List pool company so did not call Jeff back. Our current pool company suggested that the sand filter work and the estimate for work to replace the liner and open the pool, allowed Jeff to make most of his profit - from us - in February with the sand filter work that he performed - and (second pool company) was not surprised that Jeff wasn't anxious to do the liner and opening because he didn't build much profit into that part of the job. Our disappointment lies more so in the fact that we were looking forward to doing busines with Jeff. He, as it turned out, had serviced our pool prior to our taking ownership of this home last fall so we took comfort in his familiarity with the pool. He shared with us that he lived 'just around the corner' and would have no problem getting started on our pool to get it ready for the season. My thought is that even though he had lost his cell phone, we had begun a business relationship and he could have stopped by, left a note, whatever - to communicate! I imagine that pool season is a hectic time for any pool company. I wish him well in his future business but would advise him to keep the lines of communication open with his customer.

The opening was ok, but they didn't close my filter and it's leaking. Then when I called them last friday the pool was very cloudy. I called Monday morning still no call back. Tuesday morning I called again and explained to them all over again. I didn't know what else to do, and it's Thursday and still no word. My pool is growing algy now. I had to put over $100 worth of chemicals yesterday and I'm going back to get the water tested again. It's still very very foggy. I left a message with Jeff telling him that someone needs to come and close the filter properly so it won't leak.

This is our second year with Jeff and more than likely our last. He opened the pool on the agreed date however didn't come back to complete the job. He didn't turn the heater or the cell (we have a salt pool) on and didn't know why. We called and called and left emails for days. We had family coming in from out of town and we could not get a hold of him for 5 days. His voice mail was full for days. Emails weren't returned for days at a time either. I understand the weather wasn't cooperative during the month of April and May due to rain, but not to have any means to communicate with him is inexcusable. Our pool cover would not open for 3 days - while our out-of-town guests were here and he was unreachable. Jeff is our 2nd independent company owned person to open and close our pool. The first person we used two years ago was disastrous and very unresponsive too. So when I shopped around on Angie's List, I came across Barton Pool Service and was impressed with the reports. When we hired Jeff we expressed our concerns about our first pool guy and now it is dejavu all over again. We are still waiting for 4 bags of salt that was supposed to be delivered Wednesday and it is now Thursday. We are now shopping around for an actual pool company with more than 2 or 3 employees with an actual service department. We haven't received a bill so I am not sure what he is going to charge us.
