I retained Barton Pool Company after 9-years of dealing with an incompetent company who installed our 9' X 11' swim spa. We have been experiencing leaks due to cracks in the spa and only had use of the spa 3 out of 9 years! The inground spa was losing as much as 2" per day in water, making the spa impossible to use. Barton Pool Company repaired our spa and we have now enjoyed the spa, without any water loss, for a month. I would highly recommend using Barton Pool Company, Kris and Mike are absolutely the best, very good communication and response time. EXCELLENT COMPANY!

WE HAD AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE WITH JEFF BARTON AND HIS TEAM FROM THE START. WE WERE IN A PLACE THAT WE HAD NO IDEA WHAT WE WERE DOING AND JEFF AND MIKE MALLERS (SALES) WERE PATIENT WITH US AS WE TALKED TO OTHER POOL COMPANIES AND TRIED TO FIGURE OUT WHAT WE WANTED TO DO. I NEVER FELT PUSHED BY JEFF AND HE ANSWERED ALL OF OUR QUESTIONS INCLUDING COMING OUT MULTIPLE TIMES TO ENSURE WE WERE READY TO DECIDE. ONCE WE DECIDED ON BARTON, JEFF WAS PERSONALLY ON-SITE MULITPLE DAYS, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE DIG HAPPENED AS WELL AS THE WALLS BEING INSTALLED. HE WAS ALSO THERE OTHER DAYS AND WAS ALWAYS AVAILABLE WHEN I HAD A QUESTION. MIKE (SALES) HELPED US THROUGH ALL OF THE DECISIONS THAT NEEDED TO BE MADE AS WE PLANNED OUT THE POOL. AGAIN, THROUGHOUT THE PROCESS, THE BARTON TEAM WAS FRIENDLY, PATIENT, ANSWERED MY DUMB QUESTIONS, ETC. THE BARTON TEAM WORKED VERY WELL WITH A DIFFERENT CONTRACTOR WE USED TO BUILD OUR POOL HOUSE. WE HAD DELAYS WITH THE POOL HOUSE WHICH ALSO CAUSED DELAYS WITH THE POOL (DUE TO NOT HAVING POWER). BARTON NEVER COMPLAINED ABOUT THAT AND SIMPLY PULLED OFF THE JOB FOR MULTIPLE WEEKS UNTIL WE HAD THE POOL HOUSE FAR ENOUGH ALONG AND HAD POWER FOR THEM TO HOOK UP THE EQUIPMENT. THEY CAME BACK IN A VERY REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME AND COMPLETED THE JOB. WE REALLY ONLY HAD ONE ISSUE AND I DON'T THINK THAT WAS SOMETHING THAT BARTON COULD CONTROL. OUR POOL COVER HAD SOME SORT OF PART MISSING AND IT TOOK 1-2 WEEKS FOR THAT TO GET RECTIFIED. IT WAS FRUSTRATING BECAUSE THERE WAS WATER IN THE POOL AND EVERYTHING READY OTHER THAN THE COVER COULDN'T BE OPENED. AGAIN, PROBABLY SOMETHING THAT BARTON HAD LITTLE CONTROL OVER. LASTLY, WE USE BARTON TO OPEN AND CLOSE OUT POOL. "KD" HAS BEEN MY CONTACT AND HAS BEEN AWESOME. HE HAS TAKEN MY CALLS AND TEXTS SO I COULD ASK HIM STUPID "FIRST TIME POOL OWNER" QUESTIONS AND HAS NEVER MADE ME FEEL LIKE AN IDIOT. HE HAS ALWAYS BEEN THERE TO ANSWER QUESTIONS VERY TIMELY. THE LADIES IN THE OFFICE HAVE BEEN AWESOME AS WELL AND VERY HELPFUL WHEN I HAVE CALLED THEM. OVERALL, I WOULD ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND BARTON POOLS TO ANYONE THAT ASKED BASED ON THE EXPERIENCE WE HAVE HAD WITH THEM.

I have had 3 pools in my life and this is the best company I have ever worked with. I was very frustrated and ready to give up when I found them and they diagnosed my pool issues, did the repair and now weekly check everything for me. I no longer am stressed about the pool. The office staff is so nice and knowledgeable and the pool service people very polite. Highly recommend.

We decided to use Barton’s Pools because my father is friends with the owner Jeff’s dad, and we wanted to support his business. They were quick to come out and open the pool and did a decent job, however as the technicians were leaving I noticed that the pool pump wasn’t keeping primed. I made a call to the office and spoke with Kris who was very helpful and had a different tech come out right away and get it working properly. They were not able to vacuum the pool at the time of opening (which I understand), so they were supposed to vacuum during their first visit of weekly service. On the day of our first weekly service (which runs either $50 or $80 per week), the tech still hadn’t been out to service the pool by nearly 5pm. We knew we had to leave the house, so we called to make sure they were actually coming. Amanda was very polite and assured my wife that we were on the schedule and that “someone would be coming”. Later that night when we got home, the pool had NOT been vacuumed, and there was zero indication that anyone had been out to service it. We were very disappointed to say the least. The next morning I called Jeff the owner (big mistake) to see if perhaps they had moved us to Saturday, and it became immediately clear that the owner does not like to deal with customers directly. He was defensive, condescending, and dismissive of my questions. He said that someone DID come out the night before, but that “vacuuming wasn’t on the work order”. He seemed to deflect the real concerns I had back on to me. It was a very weird conversation. I then texted him asking were the tech had left the summary page of what he did when he came, what the pool readings were, etc. and he never responded back. We installed cameras this weekend on the back deck and garage area, so I can have a record of who and when has come for service, but it won’t be Barton’s Pools. In summary, we will not be using Barton’s Pool for ANYTHING in the future. It’s very clear that the make enough revenue from building pools, commercial contracts, and pool repairs that providing good maintenance service to residential customers is at the very bottom of their list. Despite my disappointment with Barton’s Pools, the one saving grace was how polite and helpful both Amanda and Kris were any time I called. They were both very professional and courteous in every interaction I had with them. It’s a good thing they are the ones on the front lines doing the scheduling and the customer interaction because they are both very good with customers unlike the owner. I do not recommend Barton’s Pools for any other service other than opening, and even then I’d make sure everything was in working order before they leave. I also wish I would’ve read all the reviews on Google and elsewhere before giving them my business, as it’s clear the any of the issues with this company are coming from the top down.

I have an old (circa 1960s) gunnite pool that had delaminated plaster, crumbling coping and a non-functioning 40 year old heater. It is hard to find a company that performs replastering work as most companies that I called seemed to only repair vinyl-lined pools or install a vinyl liner. This was not an option for us. I called 4 local pool replastering contractors to obtain quotes. One never bothered to return my calls. Another kept missing our scheduled appointment and ghosting me but finally showed up to take measurements (wearing a MAGA hat) but then never delivered a quote. The third kept the appointment and seemed very knowledgeable but the quote was much higher than expected and the work could not be performed until August (7 months later). Then I received a call back from Eric at Barton. He was knowledgeable and professional. The quoted price was reasonable and then he promised they could get me on the schedule for February or March. Too good to be true? No! Eric and Barton delivered on everything promised and we could not be happier with the end result! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Barton to anyone needing pool repairs or service. This should be your first call.

Barton Pools saved our summer! We had contracted with another pool company to replaster and renovate our pool and to install an automatic cover. After many delays, promises made and not kept and poor communication (see my previous review for Myette Pools), we called Barton Pools to pick up the pieces and complete the work. They started in early June and promised completion in less than three weeks, and they delivered!! The work included finishing the incomplete plaster demo, replastering the pool, and ordering and installing the automatic cover. They also included some extra tile detail for the steps and new coordinating fittings. Can't say enough good things about the quality of work and communication.

There were some installation issues (scaling, swirling, other marks) but Jeff's team came out and corrected everything first time. Very nice job

The employees are always kind and courteous, and the service techs are extremely professional and knowledgeable. They arrive on the scheduled date as promised and complete the work in a timely manner. Jeff has gone above and beyond for us in the past. A few years ago we were on vacation when we lost power at the house for an extended time. Jeff sent someone out free of charge to get our pool pump going so we wouldn't come home to a green pool. We highly recommend the Barton Pool Company for pool and pool cover maintenance!

Top Five Star Rating in My Book: Barton Pool assisted me in assessing a leak that we have had for over 10 years. They were persistent in identifying and repairing the leak. (2015) My pool is shiny, beautiful and my water bill has gone down TREMENDOUSLY. Barton Pool Company has provided pool opening, closing and weekly maintenance on my pool for the last two years. They have been on time, professional and always responsive when I have a service call or issue. (2016) Pool will reopen in April just like magic thanks to Barton. Thanks Claudia, Jeff and Hannah!

I've been using Barton Pool Company for about 15 years, since around the time they started the company. They are very capable and knowledgeable and they are on time. They are very congenial and thoughtful.

We have used this company for many years now and would not change a thing. They are prompt, polite, clean, and never leave a problem unsolved. They come weekly to check our chemicals and will clean the pool only when needed. They check all the equipment when they are here. Never try to push anything on us, which I appreciate . It is a family owned business which is another plus!!

They have been wonderful to work with and are prompt and professional when coming to open and close our in ground pool. Their pricing is really good and they seem to go above and beyond what our expectations were.

The automatic pool cover replacement was performed flawlessly on a pool shape that presents challenges due to asymmetry. Since the motor still has several years left, they did not recommend replacing it this year. Options for future replacement as well as future convenience upgrades were laid out but never pushed. The work was done in a timely, high-quality manner at a cost below what was initially estimated. All kinks were worked out as if the project was being performed on their own home. We will definitely be staying with Barton Pool Company for all of our future pool maintenance and project needs and would recommend them strongly for anyone looking for pool contractors.

This was a huge job, at least for us. For Jeff Barton and his crew it was a walk in the park or so it seemed to us. They were professional, expert and very clean. I watched them demo concrete around the pool and was very impressed with how exact they were. And again very clean. Concrete dust etc went every where but all day and everyday they cleaned up. Jeff quoted me for the original work and was very competitive. He was accurate and fair with his time estimates and quotes. As I increased the scope of the work, Jeff and his team were flexible and worked with us on both timing and pricing. The pool light was never connected. Jeff's team corrected that and ran the required electrical to get it working again. I added a salt/chlorine generator and that too is working like a gem. We had the sand replaced in our filter and had work done on the main drain. The main drain, wasn't connected in any kind of "normal" fashion. Jeff and his team corrected that as well. We were and have been extremely pleased with Barton Pool Service and would recommend to any and everyone. Net net is that my pool is now fully functional and is a beautiful asset to our home again. Jeff Barton has serviced and managed my pool for more than 10 yrs, even prior to Barton Pool's inception. He is all about service and quality; and his company projects the same quality principles. Barton pool converted my pool to a salt system versus chlorine; installed my pool cover; and has opened and closed it with efficiency and a smile. What more could you want from a service provider. I have been a customer of Jeff's since he started his business. He and the people who work for him, particularly Steve, are always very professional and responsive. I often times forget to schedule my opening and closing, but he always has me on his schedule. Wen something breaks, I have had two major repairs this summer, there are here within a day, usually less than 24 hours. They explain the problems very well and are very competitive on pricing. It was perfect. We have used Barton Pools since Jeff started his business several years ago. They close our pool for us every year and have performed many routine service calls. They have replaced our pool heater and exchangers that go with the heater. A few years ago we hired them to replace our vinyl liner and automatic pool cover which is an extensive process. They have always shown the greatest degree of professionalism and expertise in everything they have done for us. My husband and I highly recommend them to anyone who requires service on their pool.

Their response and service was amazing. I called on a Thursday morning at 10 am ET and the owner scheduled to come to my house that afternoon. He was on time and helped me understand what was wrong with the pump, options moving forward, and the cost associated with the options. The cost for their service was well below 3 other local companies I got bids from. They came on the following Monday early in the morning and had the brand new pump installed before lunch. I have had one single issue with the new pump, and my water flow is amazing. Highly recommend calling Barton if you need anything done to your pool.

My warranty company contacted Barton Pool Co to diagnose the problem we were having because our pool equipment wasn't working. We were already aware that we had a cracked sand filter and suspected that the problem was the motor/pump. The technician came out and said the motor was fine and would last another year but suggested that we replace the filter. He also stated that he would get the water clear when we replaced the filter. After comparing prices with other companies, we decided to go with Barton. I requested that the initial technician complete the repair but was told that he's on vacation and Claudia guaranteed me that the other technicians were well qualified. The new filter was installed less than a week later and we followed the instructions given to clear the water on our own even though we were told that they'd clear up the pool. One day later, everything stopped working! When I called Claudia she said she'd charge $80/hr to diagnose any problems outside of the filter! I explained that the original tech diagnosed the problem a week and a half prior and said everything was fine except the filter so we shouldn't be charged for a problem he didn't catch which would've resulted in a proper diagnosis to our warranty company. Furthermore, we'd have to accommodate their schedule and be available between 7:30-3:30pm even though their store hours are listed as 8-5pm. Both my husband and I work full time jobs and it doesn't seem reasonable to me that we should continue taking time off from work to accommodate hours that aren't listed properly on the internet. I asked to speak to the owner of the company and he was much worse than Claudia and proceeded to yell at me on the phone, cut me off and then hang up on me. Given the experience we've had with this company we requested a full refund of the amount paid, asked them to remove their filter and replace it with our original filter or equivalent in the same condition it was. The company has not responded.

What an easy project for us. Jeff and his crew came in and removed all our old plaster, tile and coping from our 35 year old gunite pool. They enlarged our steps so we could play with our grandkids in the water while sitting in chairs in the water - really cool. All new fittings (with some really neat fountains), new plaster, new tile around side of pool and cool looking tile designs in the bottom of the pool. New coping and floor drain. It was somewhat of a messy job but they were extremely neat and cleaned up every night and were very respectful of our landscaping and home. The crew was polite, on time, and respected that they were working around our house, not just some job-site. Jeff came up with some neat ideas along the way and allowed us to make changes as the job progressed. He scheduled the work at the end of the season so we could enjoy the entire swimming season. We had one minor issue with one of the fountains 6 months later and Barton Pools was there the next day after our call and fixed it immediately. When they finished the job the site was COMPLETELY CLEANED UP - no mess left at all. Previously we had used Barton Pool for some minor service issues and they were always on time, neat, polite and reasonable as far as cost goes. This was a very nice experience and we definitely will use Jeff and Barton Pools again, plus we ended up with a REALLY COOL looking pool, it has that WOW factor now.

We wanted to add a pool to our yard - it was a small area on a lake and created some challenges to get the look we wanted. Jeff was wonderful to work with, he was on the job every day and accommodated our ideas to build a creative paradise in our backyard! They are always also available to answer our questions on maintenance. It was a pleasure to work directly with the owner during the project.

They did a great job and they are responsive when we have any concerns. We are pleased with their service. We would recommend them to our friends. The owner Jeff Barton is a very intelligent and personable individual.
