I had a very positive experience and would recommend B & W Plumbing, and specifically Plumber Dave, to anyone. The previous home owner had installed an electric tankless water heater. It developed a leak and I had trouble finding a plumbing contractor to service it. (Most plumbers only work on gas tankless heaters. Benjamin Franklin Plumbing tried to convince we to replace the whole system rather than admit they couldn't perform a simple repair.) The receptionist at B & W was very helpful and assisted me in the procurement of a replacement part. I felt I got a good value.

This company is always very prompt and professional. My disappointment related to a couple things: price - it may have taken 40 minutes to install this unit. Nearly $200 is too much in my opinion. While the B&W plumber was working, I mentioned my dishwasher had quit working. (I thought there was a connection between the disposal/the dishwasher). What I would have expected, back in the day, that he might say - "While I am here, let me look at the problem and suggest what is required to fix it." But no, he ignored my need about this and stayed focused on the quick install. Perhaps I expected too much - yet I have been a total B&W customer. In the future, I intend to "shop" for my plumbing, HVAC needs. Loyalty does not seem to have its rewards.

Bryan performed a fantastic job. Installed better material than was before. Explained every step to me and took time to add little jobs such as cleaning sink drain, knobs inside, U pipe underneath the sink, etc. Gave good advice for related work. Gave the feeling that "the customer is king". Wanted to achieve full satisfaction and did!

My water softener broke and distributed its entire tank of resin throughout the pipes and plumbing fixtures in the house. My first clue was that the water flow in an upstairs bathroom almost completely stopped. There was a similar problem at every other faucet in the house. B & W came and assessed the problem on the same day I called, worked that afternoon to get one toilet, one shower, and a few faucets working. Then they came back on Saturday and finished the job of clearing the rest of the lines and fixtures. (They waited until Saturday for my convenience; that way I didn't have to take another day off work.) Overall, I was very pleased with the job they did. Cost-wise, I have nothing to compare it to, since I didn't get other estimates.

Ray was the licensed plumber who did the installation of a new, 50 gal. water heater. We called about 8:30 in the morning and he was working on the job by 10:30 that same morning. He positioned the new tank, attached the gas and water lines quickly and efficiently. Ray was very easy to work with and answered all questions about the new heater.

Plumber Dave to the rescue again! March 3rd a couple of B & W plumbers came out to the house because water was leaking from the drain spout behind the washing machine. I could hear water overflowing and hitting the ground. I also observed water leaking through the wall into the garage. The plumbers ran the washing machine and could not make the water overflow. They were going to leave but I insisted that the pipe in the wall be looked at because too many pipes have started cracking in my older home. The pipe was indeed cracked and the plumbers quickly fixed it. By why was the water leaking from the drain behind the washer? This was not addressed after the pipe was repaired. Three weeks later the same thing happened and this time when I called B & W I asked for Plumber Dave. He is the man that always comes to finish the job and he did it again! The drainage pipe was not quite tall enough and needed to be lengthened. He did this for free and checked to make sure that the water wasn't any where near overflowing again. In the future I will ask for Dave by name because I have confidence in his work and trust him to finish the job.

The B&W plumber arrived on time and had the shower valve leak fixed within approximately 20 minutes. He explained what caused the leak, the risk that it might again leak if the valve is not replaced, but recommended the least-cost alternative for the time being, with frequent monitoring on my part. He was professional and courteous. After preparing the bill for $110.00, he informed me about an Angie's List discount for his company available online and allowed me to print to print it and save $25. Needless to say, I was very grateful.

Plumber Ray McClanahan was excellent, polite & professional. Jeff was a great worker & helper.

Very well. The salesman Bill was very polite, presented a no-nonsense price, and explained why this unit was the best for my situation. The installers came on time and were very professional. They explained everyting they did and why they did it. Bill was very patient in working with me on the payment method.

I will ask for Bryan again in the future because I am so pleased with his work.

Called before 8am and asked for service to come to house as soon as possible. They said someone would be here by 8:30am and he was. Very professional young man and he was very thorough. We decided we needed a new thermostat and he gave me different options at different price points. We chose a non-progammable digital thermostat that he did not have in stock but he returned about 4 hours later and installed the new thermostat. Did a nice job. No surprises.

Excellent Job; Plumber David McDonough was very knowledgable & professional. I will be asking for him by name for future service calls.

Dave been very precise and tried for a long time to get the part off. He does a good job. The representatives are so gracious when you call. I will continue to use them. You pay for what you get for them.

We've used B & W Plumbing for all of our plumbing needs since first calling them about 2 years ago. They returned our call within 24 hours and scheduled the appointment within 24 hours. Plumber Dave showed up on time and was gracious enough to wait about 4 minutes for me to allow him into the area. He was nice enough to try to see if a simple maneuver of the object would do trick but it didn't. He explained the to me and proceeded to fix the problem with the toilet and re-hook the stopper in the sink in less than 20 minutes. I was truly surprised at how quickly everything was completed. He did not even charge us for the sink repair. He was professionally dressed and quite frankly didn't even look like a plumber. He was a very nice gentleman. He was efficient and did the job we expected a lot more quickly than we anticipated.

This was in January 2009; however, I fogot to submit the report. I didn't want to forget about it because it was such a nice experience. They were prompt, and got the job done quickly and effectively. We thought it was going to cost a lot more and take more time. Turns out he was able to fix everything without replacing the disposal (even though it's 9 years old) and it's been working perfectly ever since. The cost was very reasonable because we were expecting hundreds of dollars in expenses.

He was great, a little expensive, but really great. He is awesome! His work is great! We will continue to use him in the future, if his prices remain reasonable.

The plumber Ray was available within two hours of the intitial Sunday afternoon call. His schedule allowed him to complete another job early. He didn't just wait to show up for the appointment time, he arrived 45 min early to expidite taking care of our drain. He was knowedgable of getting the job done neatly and quickly. He removed all root debree and left no mess. The price originally would have been $320, but less was required to remove the roots and the quote was reduced.

It was all done in one visit, they came on time and worked efficiently. They had to use some ingenuity to get the heater in the same spot and re-pipe it to match.

It was a very, very good experience. Dave did the installation. He was very polite, very knowledgeable about what he was doing, he answered all of my question, and left the work area clean. He explained to me how to flush the water line after he left. The price they quoted was better than any other companies I called. I got a discount for being a member of Angie's List.

This gentleman was timely, professional, thorough and friendly and I highly recommend B&W to anyone who is in need of plumbers...and drain cleaners!

The technician came out to check my old furnance because it had quit. He explained to me the problem and that with the age of the furnance it was better to replace it, I agreed. The tech gave me options on the type of furnance based on the house's square footage. I picked out the furnance and they were able to come back the next day to install it. They called at 8:30 a.m. to tell me that they were going to be out. They showed up at 1:15 p.m. and had the furnance in by 5:00 p.m. They had to come back to do the flue liner because of the snow. The team that came to install my furnance and later the flue were polite, hard-working and cleaned up after themselves. It was a very good experience overall--my only complaint is that it would have been nice to know they would not be at the house until after 1. They rest of the times that they come back to finish the furnance and install the flue they did call and say they were on their way.

Our water heater 'died' on a Saturday afternoon. We called several plumbers and got the fastest response from B&W. The serviceman was very friendly on the phone, explained our options and pricing, and was prepared to install a new water heater on Sunday between 10 and Noon! He was extremely friendly, professional, and patient about answering our many questions. He was also very skilled and completed the installation in less than 90 minutes.
