I got them off the Angie's List. They came in and looked through everything in the house and they did a good job. They were very accurate, helpful and the guy really took a lot of time to explain everything. I paid $125 last time, but I had to use them for an emergency before that (they replaced my hot water heater.) which was earlier in January and I spent about $1200 then, but that was on a weekend night and they came so I was very pleased. They are thorough, honest and explained everything. They are efficient and they let me know what was wrong and they couldn't fix that. I had to get someone because the work was outside the house. They did a great job and again when the water tank was leaking he came and fixed it. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Plumber Dave ran late but excusable due to major ice storm that paralyzed traffic Did excellent job with tank replacement, had to get a different stand ,,he picked up at Lowe's to save drive back to shop,,,was actually cheaper than what they would have charged for stand,,,,stayed to complete the job,,cheerfully took Angie's list 25$ coupon,,,,took boots off before coming in house,,,,VERY professional,,,I highly recommend this firm

At 4 am Jan. 30, the living room ceiling began leaking water from the upstairs bathroom. We placed buckets under the leak, but several more leaks began. On Sunday afternoon, Jan. 30., we found B & W Plumbing's name on Angie's list and called the answering service. The lady who answered was very polite and helpful and said she would have a plumber call us right away. She seemed to really care about our situation. Just a few minutes later, Plumber Dave called and asked about the problem. We explained and he gave us some tips and things to check, such as the water meter. He said he would call us in the morning to set up an appointment if needed. The next day, the plumbing was still leaking. Dave called us between 8 and 9 am and said he would call between 3 and 4 pm to make sure one of us was home from work. He arrived shortly after calling at 3:30 pm, assessed the situation, and gave us a written estimate of $185 for the service call plus $264 for the work. He told us there was a $25 coupon on Angie's List, which we downloaded and used. After fixing the problem very quickly, he informed us that he didn't have to cut a hole in the wall, so he took $125 off the final price. We ended paying $424. He made sure before he left that the leak had stopped. He was very efficient, professional, clean, friendly, and on time.

This experience started with a backed up main drain, and four visits from the provider. On the first visit, the plumber noted the problem, and spent a bit of time searching for the cleanout, but was unable to find it. They informed us that since we "didn't have a cleanout" we would need to spend $1200 to have one installed the following week. Luckily, I went searching again before the provider returned to install the cleanout, because I found it. When the plumber returned to actually clean out the drain, he was able to clean between the cleanout and the street, but could not get very far back into the house. The plumber seemed lazy, and did not get under the house to check the problem at all, just made recommendations based on "how things are normally set-up". I was underwhelmed. The problem seemed to be corrected, but it ended up that there was still a clog. We called the provider back, and asked for a different plumber, since the first plumber had been out twice, charged us nearly $400, and still left with a problem. The second plumber arrived late in the afternoon, and was able to run the drain cleaner up into the house, but then got the machine stuck, and it broke off in the drain. He did actually get under the house and tried to figure out what the problem was, but ended up not being able to find a clog. Since it was late, he decided to leave with the pipe disconnected, and would come back the following day. He left us without a drain for nearly 24 hours. We also found that during his first visit, he had completely messed up our cable - one TV didn't work at all, and another was intermittent. I ended up checking the crawl space, and found that the cable running to the back of the house had somehow been tangled in the roto-machine, and the cable was destroyed. I asked the plumber about this the next day, and he said he noticed it, but had not notified us that there was an issue. While our issue was actually resolved, I was not impressed that it took 4 trips, and requesting a different plumber. Maybe we just had bad luck, but it was an underwhelming experience. I am inclined to call a different plumber next time around.

Mike evaluated out furnace & made basic repairs. He also recommended other things we should do.

He removed the stool and showed me the gasget and the fact that the stool was not level. This probably caused the leak by the stool slight movement. Put in new gasget and a wedge and replaced the stool. Also noticed washers had not been used on the bolts. So he did a good job of correcting some ones poor plumbing in the past.

Repaired an old faucet, original to the house built in 1923. Was very thorough and described in detail what he had to do to repair the leak.

After he left, I saw the problem was even worse. I called to complain and they said they'd send him back. Then I got out the flashlight and explored around the furnace area and discovered he had failed to re-insert the drain hose into the drain line, so the water was draining onto the floor and flowing under the utility room. I called to tell them, but they said he had to come again just to check. He did come, and apologized for forgetting to re-insert the drain hose. The technician sent seemed quite young and I had a difficult time getting information out of him as to what I might do to prevent future instances. I had to made several possible suggestions, and then he said maybe that would work.

It went very well. They were prompt, were able to get out soon after I called, arrived when they said they would, and did the job quickly.

They did a good job overall. They were able to schedule the installation quickly, which I was most impressed with. I would surely use them again if necessary.

I was very pleased with everything. Work was done carefully and well. Furnace had gone out on Monday morning and repairman was at the house by 1 pm. He was professional and explained what he was doing. Also gave instructions as to operation of humidifier and how to adjust.

Everything was great. He helped us to identify the problem and didn't charge us for anything. He was very professional, too.

A leaking faucet was discovered on Halloween Night during a house party with about 50+ kids. Within an hour of contacting B & W, a very professional plumber arrrived (Dave McCollough)and he troubleshot the problem and repaired it immediately. Couldn't have asked for a more professional response,

Mike was great. We have found out 1st choice for heating/AC and plumbing. What an excellent experience. He helped us know how to care for our furnance and ac so we won't have problems in our near future.

When he arrived he put on shoe covers to protect our floors. He was here to replace our kitchen faucet and sprayer. He had some difficulty getting the old faucet off, but stuck to it and didn't complain. The new faucet works great, and he was very professional and pleasant throughout the appointment.

The tech arrived very quickly and first offered the less expensive option. He was up-front with costs throughout. When the first attempt did not work, he brought out the heavy machine and removed the toilet to find the clog. He was polite and helpful even when it took him a while to find the problem. I appreciated his dedication and sympathy.

This went great. The plumber was only there about 1&1/2 hours but everything was done to my satifaction and it is working just fine. I would use them again when I need more plumbing work.

Everything went well. They have excellent customer service. We always ask for Dave McDonough and he's great.

Dave came out, removed the panel access to the bathroom, he could only find one small area that might be the cause of the problem and put plumber's putty around the pipe. He was nice and personable, which I found refreshing. Anyway, we got off cheap because it was a very small issue. A very positive experience although I think plumbers in general charge way too much for their services.

We are very pleased with them. I felt like the gentleman who came out to give the original estimate had a good understanding of what kind of system I required, what kind of air handling and that type of thing. He did a good job of checking out what was needed. Their price was pretty good. I would use them again in the future if I needed to for any other work.

I normally replace these myself but I was unable to get the old valve out. Dave took care of this. While there I had him replace the water line valve to the toilet. All work was performed professionally and quickly. He allowed me to watch and ask questions. He even gave me tips on some other plumbing things that I will be doing myself.

They did a pretty good job. They arrived on time. They are courteous. They do all of things that are excellent. They are a little on the expensive side.

I was very happy with them. I thought that the price was right. They came the next day to do the job. The young man that actually did the job was an exceptionally nice young man.

Had my water heater replaced. Recieved a fair price with excellent service. They had the best warranty I could find. Everyone else had a 1yr warranty, they gave me the same service warranty as the manufacturer 6 years. David McDonough did the installation and was very informative and professional. Would highly recommend.
