Clogged main prevented Thanksgiving gathering at my home, I called B&W the day after and within 90 minutes I had a plumber at my door. He listened to my request, and completed a thorough job in 2 hours. Good job Michael, and thanks for Angie's List.

Overall it went superbly. The woman who fielded my call to B & W Plumbing was pleasant and professional, patiently asking me questions to determine the nature of the problem we were dealing with. I assumed they would be able to help me next week, if I was lucky. They helped me two hours later. Plumber Dave was very efficient, pleasant, and honest. (I asked him about another plumbing issue, he gave me straight forward information.) He also gave me information about what I could do to avoid the current problem in the future. I really could not ask for better service.

Plumber Dave is our favorite plumber at B & W and we always ask for him by name. When I called to schedule an appointment for that week, he was available to come out that same day! Dave is very friendly and punctual and he always explains what the process is so I feel like I learn something every time he comes to do work at the house. The toilet had not been flushing properly for several weeks and I diagnosed it as a clogged pipe. Dave quickly diagnosed it as a problem with how quickly water entered the toilet and showed me how to tell if that was the problem and how to fix it in the future.

I called first thing in the morning and within an 45 minutes someone was able to come out and repair my sink in under a half hour. The representative was professional and helpful in explaining what the problem was and how he was going to repair. The cost was high, but he did apply the $25.00 coupon without a physical coupon which I appreciated. I have called on B&W in the past and would continue to use their reliable service.

The job went well, and took about an hour. The repair cost of $327 seemed excessive for an outside faucet and one hour of labor; however, it's been a few weeks and apparently the work was done well, the plumber was conscientious in terms of good 'after job clean up' and always putting on dirt-protective-shoe-covering as he entered the home.

Doing dishes Friday night, all of a sudden I was out of hot water. I venture into the basement to check the water heater, only to find water flowing out of the top of the heater and pouring down the side. The supply shutoff to the water heater would not function, so I needed to turn off the whole house water to stop the spewing from the water heater. I called a plumbing company (that I had used several times previously) Friday night and left a message. Saturday morning at 8:30 am, I had not heard from them so I called again. The response: "sorry, we can't help you with that until Monday"....I didn't want to wait two days for hot water! Then it was time to call B & W Plumbing, whom I had used in some rental property repairs previously. From the initial contact through the end of the job, I was very impressed with my treatment. The very nice lady on the phone asked a few questions about what kind of water heater I had, access to it, etc. She said: "we'll get you done this afternoon" Around 12:30 or 1:00 pm I received a call from "Plumber Dave" of B & W Plumbing. He arrived a short time later, removed the old water heater, installed a new water heater and new supply shut-off per my request. Dave worked quickly and efficiently, and we had hot water Saturday afternoon....not Monday. I would certainly use B & W again....Plumber Dave was the best!

Went great. took 1-1/2 days and all work was done very well, clean up was good. Happy with the work.

The price is for one half of a one year service contract (furnace cleaning and check in fall, AC cleaning and check in spring). I believe that the price is a little high compared to bigger (national) HVAC companies, but I am comfortable with the quality of service provided. David Black arrived at the expected time, with a prior phone call alerting me to his getting on the road. He was polite, clean, and wore booties in the house. Mr. Black performed a full check of our high efficiency furnace, cleaning the furnace burners and flame sensor, and cleaning out the blower compartment and filter rack. He also flushed out the drainage tube and replaced the filter. He checked that the furnace heated properly. He also cleaned and checked that the humidifier worked properly, and he cleaned his work area. Mr. Black is one of the few HVAC service persons who did not disparage other service persons' work or my heating/AC purchases. He did not try to sell me something, which I very much appreciated. I was very happy with his service.

I called for an appointment the next day, was scheduled approx 9-11 am. Received a call at 8:30 that plumber would be arriving around 9, and he was on time. He quickly sized up the problem and gave me an estimate of what it would cost. The shutoff valve from the wall to toilet was bad, and also the fill valve inside the tank was going bad, so he replaced both. With my Angie's Lists coupon for $25 off, the price was right on target. So overall experience was very good, work done quickly and on time as promised, plumber was knowledgeable, clean and professional.

I called ~9:30 am with a toilet leaking at the base and was told someone could come out after 3 pm. Just prior to 3, the plumber called letting me know he was about 30 minutes out and he arrived as promised. He was very personable and professional and let us know up front it would be $200 just to pull the toilet but that it could be more depending on the problem. Thankfully, it was just a worn seal and the job totaled $207.89, less the $25 Angie's List coupon. We are very satisfied customers who can now flush freely.

These folks definitely could have given me the run around, been short, or simply passed on the work without any further guidance. They didn't do any of that, instead handling my call professionally and being a big help in resolving my problem - even though there was nothing "in it" for them. I really appreciated their assistance when I was feeling pretty stressed out. Big thumbs up. I'll be keeping their number in case I have any future plumbing difficulties.

Within in an hour of calling the B&W dispatch on Friday afternoon, the repairman arrived; he was professional and courteous. The entire job took about 2.5 hours and it was difficult to access via the cellar and crawl space in my historic house. Because of the issues in accessing the copper pipes underneath the house, there was bit extra charge of about $125 for extra labor. In total, the bill (materials and labor) totaled a whopping $477.65 (not including the $25 Angie's List coupon). I think it is a bit pricey but was impressed with the promptness, service and professionalism of B&W. I would use B&W again but would get quotes from other companies and negotiate the price if it is not an urgent need

Services were performed at our rental home in Indiana. Both times the company was responsive. We felt that the price for the water heater was a bit high compared to what we are used to in Illinois, but all companies in Indiana were high. The water heater install went well and so did the faucet. We bought the warranty, which we felt was a good value. The installer was professional and prompt. The AC service went well too. With the heat, the air was not keeping up. The service guy said the AC was dirty so he cleaned it. Our tenant reports that the AC works better now. We bought the 2 visit program so we can have them check the furnace. We felt that the 2 visit program was an excellent value.

Work began at 9:30am on trying to drain the old system, which was clogged. Needed to hang some plywood to mount the new system as studs were not in the best spots. New system went in with all of new gas and water runs moved to accommodate the unit. Testing of the new fittings showed a small leak in the stove gas line at the fitting, which they replaced. Vent was run through the garage to the outside with everything nicely placed. Work finished up around 6:00pm and we have had endless hot water since. They even took the time to show us how to use and maintain the system. We are thrilled with the work.

The service call went smoothly. Around 5:30 PM I called B&W Plumbing for HELP. I could not get our main bathroom toilet unplugged with our plunger. B&W said they could have a service man at our house after 8:00 PM. We were in agreement. The B&W service man called at 8:00 PM to tell us he was on his way to our home. Plumber Dave arrived around 8:45 PM... he said he drove from Greenwood. He quickly assessed the situation in the bathroom, tried his special bulb plunger without success, so he brought in the Snake & found something was plugging up the toilet. After about 4-5 tries with the Snake to toilet was unplugged. We have no idea what plugged it up. Plumber Dave said it had to be some object, like a pen or comb, but none of these objects are used in this bathroom. We remain puzzled. Plumber Dave went outside to the sewer drain pipe, took off the cap & said flush the toilet to make sure the flow is good into the sewer. I did and the flow was excellent. Problem solved, thanks to Plumber Dave. He did tell us that if this happens again, be prepared to replace the toilet, as it is nearly an antique toilet & it may get broken if they have to remove it from its seat during the next repair. Hopefully that will not happen again for a long while, as this has never happened before to this extent. He did suggest doing courtesy flushes more often. Thanks again Plumber Dave.

We’ve been a customer of B & W Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning Co over 20 years and they were the first phone call that I made when we discovered the pool of water in the basement. I’ve worked with them and they are dependable and did a great job.

B&W called when the plumber was en route. He arrived on time and diagnosed the problem as a cracked drain pipe. Unfortunately, he had to make an access hole in the downstairs ceiling to get to the drain. He put tarps down and thoroughly cleaned the mess up when he was finished. Overall, the work was performed quickly and completely.

It was the first time I had used them. They were very responsive and courteous. They did a really great job.

Simply stated, they did everything right. Though not inexpensive, price doesn't seem unreasonable given promptness, time spent and quality of work. Final cost under estimate. This all began when the owner of the company, Beth, answered the phone. A highly satisfactory experience from start to finish.

I called on Monday and a plumber was scheduled to come the following morning. The plumber arrived at the time scheduled and gave me a quote for replacing 3 different valves. I ended up just having him replace the valve between the inside of my house to our outdoor spigot (spelling ?). The 2 other valves will need to be replaced eventually but he said it was not necessary to replace them right away. He gave me a written quote before beginning any work and cleaned up after himself.
