We have two sump pumps in our basement and one was not working during the heavy rains yesterday morning. We noticed that water was coming up from the pump that wasn't working and the second one was working too hard. We had water on the floor in part of our basement. We called B & W to request service and Aaron showed up in 30 minutes. He replaced the pump with a higher capacity pump at my request. I knew we would receive much more rain later in the day. Since they are open on Saturday's, I was not charged after-hours fees. Aaron was very professional and did a great job. He did give us a quote before he replaced the pump and gave us options. We will definitely use them again.

It was wonderful and they did a great job. Installing the 95% efficient furnace and working out the venting of it in our 100 year old house was very very tricky and they went above and beyond. They routed it through the crawl space and foundation and did the work with hardly any mess and left the house in better shape than they found it.

I called at 1:30 p.m. on a Friday after my kitchen sink had backed up. We opened the ptrap and drained up, but when my washer also backed up I knew there was a bigger issue. I had family staying at my house for the holiday, and I needed someone out ASAP. I initially called Ben Franklin Plumbing around 12:00ish because I had received an email about their "Black Friday Special", and also because they are the ones who had installed my kitchen plumbing (garbage disposal included) less than 2 years ago. BF told me that they could get me an appointment the next day. Unfortunately, I needed someone out ASAP. Then they told me that I could pay extra to guarantee to get someone out that day, but that they wouldn't be able to get me a window of time. Out of frustration, I got on Angie's List and decided to look for someone else. So glad that I did!!! The lady who answered at B & W when I called was friendly and professional. The price she quoted me was reasonable, and was better than BF's "Black Friday Special". Even better, she told me that someone would be out any time between 2:00 and 5:00. Around 3:30, Plumber Dave arrived. He was professional, courteous and knowledgeable and go the job done thoroughly and quickly. Also, B & W provides discounts to Angie's List members. Not only will I use them again for plumbing issues, I am also willing to give them a try if I have any HVAC needs.

Our old garbage disposal finally gave out. I had used B&W twice before and was always happy with their service. I submitted an online request on the weekend and they called me first thing on Monday, and we scheduled the appt for the next day. The plumber had several disposals for me to choose (varying in price, power and warranty). I went with the middle-of-the-road choice. Extraction and installation took a bit over an hour. The disposal cost $209 on Amazon. The price worked out about as expected with labor. It was more of a job than I wanted to tackle with family coming for Thanksgiving next year. Another successful job by B&W.

They charged me a Huge 115.00 Dollar service fee to say that the water heater is ok. The water heater is still in warranty. Just how much money would they have charged me if they worked on it. They advertise that no over time will be charged 7:00 to 7:00 Monday through Sat.

3 of the 4 faucets had been in for 25 years, so they were difficult to take out, but the plumber did a fine job and all looks well. He was professional and clean, worked hard and carefully tested everything for leaks before leaving. The job took about 5 hours if you include the testing and cleanup. I have used this company before and would use them again. They are expensive, but as best I can determine, so is everyone else if you want a good plumber backed by a solid company (who can get them parts, support and guarentees that a handyman can't.)

It went well. I really enjoyed the guy that came out here. He was really helpful and professional. I came home and found my heat was out. I saw the company's van down the street at my neighbor's. I called the company and he came within a half hour. The was a real bonus.

Had scheduled B&W to come estimate on a Tuesday and install the system on a Wednesday. When my old system finally went out that Sunday they were able to move everything up by a day, getting me hot water! I knew my older 50 gallon hot water heater was on its way out and so had researched tankless systems. B&W was one of the licensed installers for this brand so I called them and 2 other companies rated highly on Angies List. B&W was the ONLY one who would give me an estimate prior to coming out, the others said they couldn't even give me a ballpark estimate without a home visit. Opted for B&W for this reason; after the install the total was about $30 LESS than the original estimate. The day of the install Aaron was there first thing and spent the entire day getting everything done, swear he never took a break from 9-5! The system was up and running, whole area was cleaner than when he got there and absolutely no mess in our house at all. Great experience; I had used B&W before and certainly will use them again.

Plumber arrived an hour after initial call. Performed repair to waterline. The Technician did not have proper fittings on truck. After two trips to supplier and 3 hrs later, work was completed and done properly.

Leak under kitchen sink was unable to be fixed ourselves. Called B&W around 1:30pm after doing some comparative research on Angie's List. They were able to schedule the appointment the same day and arrived around 4pm. While describing the problem during the phone call, the plumber said the leak could possibly result in the need for a new faucet. Because we had that heads-up, we were able to purchase a faucet & sprayer at Lowe's before the appointment. After he arrived and assessed the issue, he was willing to just replace the sprayer and hose. Because we had the new faucet and sprayer on-hand (and had been experiencing a slow drip from the faucet into the sink), we had him go ahead and replace the faucet and sprayer. He didn't charge us the full amount for a faucet installation because we had already removed all the bolts from the old faucet as we attempted to assess the location of the leak. We had a $25 off coupon from Angie's List, so our total estimate of $156 resulted in a final bill of $131 and a functional kitchen sink again! The service call was completed in less than one hour.

They are very good - from the scheduler to the technician. Chris got someone out the next day. He gave me an estimate over the phone. I later called to have someone come back out to check our pressure and he sent someone out to take a look. They are very customer service oriented.

The work they did was fine but the price they charged was way too much. They did explain on the phone that they charge a $118 "diagnostic fee" but if they did the work that fee would be waived. That made me believe that they would do some work in that $118 charge. No, they said it would cost $156 to fix it. Well, at that point do you send them away because the price is outrageous? No, you let them fix it because you already have $118 invested in it. It took him less than 30 minutes to fix it. I think $156 for 30 minutes worth of work is outrageous. I called the next day to complain about the gouging I took but all I got was rehashed talk about how it is a licensed plumber on a fully stocked truck and that they have 50 years experience. I think they gouged me and I will never call them again.

David McCollough from B&W did an excellent, quick, professional job. My elderly Dad was having a difficult time rising from our downstairs toilet because it was too low. In addition, that toilet had flushing issues. David brought out new taller toilet, removed the old one and installed the new one. He also fixed the hot cold issue in the shower and showed me how to remove the drain set screw in my daughters shower to unclog her drain. I can't say enough good things about David and his easy manner and professionalism I love working with B&W, their staff is helpful and schedules services quickly.

Our B&W technician, Randy, had to do a little detective and digging work to locate our buried clean-out. He then proceeded to snake from that point out to the sewer line. Turns out we had a fairly significant root problem that took him a few tries to clear using two different sized cutter heads. Randy did a good job and was friendly and professional.

Ray, the plumber was on time and provided me two options for repair. He was friendly and informative. They had to order parts and returned later that week (on a day we chose) on time and performed repair. Recommended Angie's List coupon.

Dave always calls when he is on his way. He is very tidy from the time he enters the home including many trips to the truck until he leaves for the day. He reviews the projects to be done then provides a written estimate. Each repair is done meticulously and is always successful. We've used Dave many times and always try to schedule with him. Also, we have used B & W for almost 16 years and will continue to be a regular customer. Occasionally we used other plumbing businesses however we were not as satisfied with the service or price. B & W is a best bet for their staff, quality and service.

I made the appointment on Monday, September 23. The provider arrived on time on 9/26 and was here for about 30 minutes. The service included changing the filter and advice on future filter replacements. The cost includes servicing the AC next spring. I was quite pleased with the service.

Everyone has "their plumber", and we called all of our resources and friend's plumbers to no avail. No one would return our calls. B&W answered my call and Plumber Dave called me back within the hour. He helped me evaluate the situation (I am far from an expert!) and we resolved that it wasn't an emergency. He recommended that we wait until Monday to see if the problem resolved itself - and it did!! I spent no money in a situation where I could have been out several hundred dollars for no good reason. I will always use B&W from here on out because of their honesty and integrity.

I was happy with them! We thought it was going to cost horribly more but they were able to do that for $220. They were prompt. They came out two days; the first day we thought we had a real disaster going on and then they came out the second day and they were able to lube it out. So I didn't have to spend $2500, I only had to spend $220 and I got my Angie's list discount! Somebody else might have done it for cheaper but like I said they did come out over two days. They came out when they said they would.
