I've dealt with B&W many times. For this work, I scanned Angies List for a possible alternative. After factoring everything in, I settled on B&W again. . They did not surprise or disappoint me. Plumber Dave showed up when he said he would. We went down through my list. A few things just needed tweaking, and he fixed those while making the rounds. A few things were going to require old parts. He told me I didn't want to pay him plumber's rates for chasing parts,, and I agreed. I can do that myself. He finished up, and proposed an estimate which was close to what I had figured it would be. They are not the cheapest, we always wish things cost less than they do. But with B&W, you may pay a litle more and they're worth it. I've seen the trouble some family members have gotten into, using less expensive providers. I used to do all my own plumbing, till a long term illness set in. That makes me the worst kind of customer as I'm always looking over his shoulder to see if it was the way i would've done it. It was, or even better. Everything seems fine, and I'm confident they will make it right if a leak does sprout up.

I called B and W on a Saturday morning and asked for help since we had a large amount of water that had pooled in the basement furnace room. We had cleaned up the water the day before and it had re-formed. B and W sent the plumber over within an hour. He checked all possible sources for the water and then found there was air between the water softener and the iron filter that was building up and blew out the tubes that drain the water from the iron filter. When the filter discharged at 2 am the water went everywhere. The plumber secured the discharge tubes and put an air pressure relief valve on both lines and stopped the leak. He checked to make sure it wasn't leaking after it was sealed.

They were able to schedule work for the same day. Dave the plumber was very prompt getting to the house for the repair. He also moved the washer so I could clean under it. He was polite and nice to talk to. I will definitely call them again.

We would like to cancel that. They did come out and they found our unit was not working. It took several days to get a quote from them. Then when they did give us a quote for a new inside and outside unit, they were about $4500 too much to replace our unit. So we went with another company and so I talked to them yesterday and they said that that would be something we have to get with Angie's List to get a refund. They charged us $156 for diagnosing the unit.

Plumber Dave was courteous and professional. The work was done with quality and very timely.

In my downstairs half bath, a part broke in the toilet and kept running. Because of the fear of overflow on my wood floors I went to turn the valve off at the back of the bowl only to notice there was no valve to turn. It was basically capped! Then I went to turn the water off to the house and could not turn the valve. It was apparently broke. So I called B & W on Memorial Day Monday and right away received an answer that they could come out that day. Under an hour later Mike came out and within half hour to 40 minutes had fixed the toilet and installed a new valve. I am extremely happy with the work that was performed and will be using them in the future for my plumbing needs.

I had used B&W in the past for a plumbing problem and was very pleased with them, so I decided to call them to check out my A/C unit. They squeezed me in that day and the service tech was there within a couple of hours. He was friendly and professional, and he even fixed the latch on my front gate while he was here!

It went well. Jason was very professional, courteous and informative. He gave me an option to check for leaks in the system, but I did not select that option. There was no sales pressure from Jason to perform the additional work. I've had this company out in the past for a plumbing issue. I really like these guys. There fee is well within market value, but only gave them a good rating since I don't like to spend money. :)

Came home to a leaking ceiling in garage only to find out was leaking pipe from master bathroom. Called B&W plumbing Friday morning to see if they could come out to fix the leak. Unfortunately they were booked until afternoon or so I thought. My wife got a call from them about an hour later stating that there was a cancellation and they could come right over. I recieved a call from my wife around 10:15 am stating B&W were on their way by the time I arrived home at 11 am the technician had diagnosed the issue and had begun working on the repairs. He was very professional came in took care of business checked his work and left after cleaning up his mess.

Good. Fixed problem quickly and easily.

The furnace would not come on. We called them since they did a good job before. They came out and found out there was a short on the circuit board. It was going to be $595 to fix it. They fixed that it but it still wouldn't come on. The transformer was blown and would cost $268. I decided to get a new furnace since it was 17 years old. They gave me a $200 credit since they replaced a blower motor in December. They ran into problems with the support and put in more support. They cleaned up well. Two day later, I tried the A/C and it blew out the furnace. The supervisor came to look at it and said it was done incorrectly. They worked on the wiring. They found out that a mouse had shorted out the A/C. They put a new capacitor in but that didn't work and took it out. They said I would need a new compressor and a new A/C. The furnace is working but I'm still looking at options for my A/C. They put in a lot of effort and didn't charge extra.

The service provider was able to come out the same day I called, let me know upfront how much each of the repairs would cost, and successfully unclogged all 4 drains.

Was on time, on price, and no problems. Could not ask for more.

Given I know absolutely nothing about the subject I felt that he could have explained the process to me in a better way than he did. I did feel like I was being talked over. I was a bit overwhelmed with it so I asked that he wait around for a few minutes till my husband got home. He told us that Vectren installed the the new gas meter in the wrong place which he followed with words like "I doubt they will move that for you" and "This will cost you a lot more money now." I felt very discouraged an that's when I asked him to wait for my husband. One more thing. B&W would not come give an estimate until the gas meter was installed however, we did not know where the meter should have gone. We took the advice of Vecrtren and put it near the electric meter. Now its in the wrong place and have to pay $400 for the meter to be moved. I don't feel we should have to pay because how were we supposed to know where to put it, we are not contractors. I believe that B&W ought to have come to the house to access the best place to put the meter. If they had taken the time to adequately inform us then this problem could have been avoided. Again, the general consumer would know nothing of where to properly install new gas lines and it ought to be someones responsibility to be sure the consumer isn't left to make a guess.

Overall, I was happy with the service. However, the part was either defective or was handled incorrectly and the furnace went out again a week later. I have used B & W for years (as has my family) and usually find them to provide excellent service. They did come back quickly and resolve the problem without additional charges. But, did spend very cold evenings without heat due to the part problem. Overall good company.

Overall my experience with B&W was very good. I used Angie's List's SnapFix app for this project. Unfortunately there was confusion due to the app about the price, scope, and schedule. B&W was flexible and responsive to the situation. When no one showed up at the appointed time, I called Angie's list. B&W immediately sent someone out to provide service. The service technician was excellent. I felt comfortable enough after meeting him to run errands with my wife and baby at home while he was at our house. For the overall project I would have given a B to price and a B to timeliness. However, this was not due to any fault of the vendor.

He was very nice, even though I didn't use the service.

They were polite, punctual and great to deal with. The snap fix app was awesome as well. Great experience.

The person arrived within the promised time frame. Explained the procedure and performed the work in a timely manner at the suggested price and cleaned up afterward. I would use this service provider again.

Professional and quick service. Even let me watch and gave me tips in case another similar issue arose. Both office staff and field plumber were courteous.

my water heater went out and I had a new one put in and some new water pipes put in. The job was done right but the only problem I had was they didn't clean up that good. He had to drill a hole under the kitchen sink and didn't clean up the shavings from the hole. He didn't take his covers he put on his shoes he just left them on the floor. The job was done right. The problem I had was with heating. My furnance went out and they sent out a man to look at it the same day. he checked it out and said the pilot assembly was bad and said if that was bad then gas valve was bad. He put both items on new and it worked for awhile then started doing the same thing it did before he came.............it wouldn't lite. I put up with that for 2 days and had to call again. They sent out another man and he checked it out and he clipped a plastic line to make it more secure and it worked for awhile and then later it did the same thing the pilot lite wouldn't lite. What it does is the motor would run but the pilot lite wouldn't lite and then furnance would shut off. Then about 5 miniutes later it would start up and then it might lite. This keeps doing this off and on. I appreciate for sending out the guy the second time but I don't believe they found the problem cause if they did I still wouldn't have problems.

Even though the washers and seats were a little out of the ordinary, B & W had the faucet as good as new when they left. It was all finished within an hour (final estimate to follow via email, which works fine for us). They always do a great job!

Called in the morning, and Zach arrived in the afternoon. He found that the fuse had come loose and just adjusted it. The furnace came on but on February 16th we again had no heat. Zach came out again and this time replaced the fuse. We've had no problems since that time.
