Amerifence

They made installing a fence very quick and painless. They were priced very competitively compared to all the other quotes we called to get. The guy who came out and gave us the quote was very friendly and professional. He mapped everything out for us and showed us exactly what to expect. He did show up late for the appt. but he gave us an extra gate on our fence for free to make up for it. The guys who actually installed the fence did very good work. They actually did all of the work while my wife and I were at work. When we got home everything looked great and no big mess was left behind. Again the only problem I had was I was almost late for work waiting for them to show and I had to leave a check in our mailbox because they weren't able to get to our house before I had to leave for work.

Our neighbors used Amerifence to have their fence redone. The day that they had the fence replaced, my husband and I came home to our yard being used as a place to not only put all the new boards, but as a trash pit for the old fence. I asked them why they were doing this and got no response. There were boards and nails everywhere. To this day, we are still finding nails in our yard and on our sidewalk. There was no reason that this needed to be done. As we walked into our backyard, I noticed that our new pine tree had 2 broken branches. This was not like this before, so I'm assuming that when they were taking down the old fence, they just let it fall in our yard right on top of our tree. I was not happy. Then as we were looking at our own fence, we noticed that 2 boards had been taken off of the back side close to where our fence used to be attached to the neighbor's fence--now only big nails sticking through. We are going to have to have our fence replaced in the next couple of years and will remember not to use this company.

Everything went smooth! They company was in constant contact, prompt, the workers were courteous and quick. Very impressed with this company and would recommend them to others.

After we decided exactly where the fence was going, everything went well. Because the people never came out to mark my property, the guys had to dig the post holes instead of using an auger. Considering there are over 2 dozen posts, that meant more work. A third guy had to come help so they could finish in one day. We love the design and we still get compliments on it! I really didn't realize just how much fencing I had until it was time to stain it! I LOVE the privacy and the fence just gives the backyard that and quot;finishedand quot; look.

After purchasing our fence, Amerifence was very quick to have the install completed. Although the fence was completed in a timely manner, I found it extremely difficult to communicate with the crew. There was definitely a language barrier between me and the crew. There was no one there who could assist in translating what I was trying to say. I was also ensured that the excess soil would be disposed of. Unfortunately it was not and I spent a day disposing of it myself. After a year our fence began to deteriorate. There were multiple areas of the fence that was rotting. I contacted Amerifence and was ensured that they would be out to fix it in the next few weeks. To make a long story short, it took them nearly 2 months to come out for an inspection. After the inspection, I was told (by the owner) that someone would be out in a few weeks to make the repairs. Again, after multiple calls, I waited months for someone to come out. The repair crew came out, made the repairs and left, no knock on the door to so I could inspect the job, just packed up and left. Once I realized they were gone, I went out to inspect the job to find that it was done in a hurry. My fence has a curve to the top of each section, all of the boards that were replaced were way too tall. Once again, I called them and asked for someone to come back out to fix it. Finally, another month had went by. I received a call from the owner who was very apologetic. He came out the very next day and agreed that the job was done unprofessionally and he himself was very disappointed in the work. He fixed the issues on the spot. He also took it upon himself to come back the next day to drop off some extra boards in case I needed to make future repairs myself. I believe there is a huge communication barrier with this company. Everything was done professionally and in a timely manner when I talked with the owner. Getting through to the rest of the staff proved difficult. Overall a good company who clearly stands behind their work, just not very timely when issues require attention.

There was a slight communication issue, but they took care of the issue quickly. They did a good job.

They were there on time, installed the fence quickly, took payment over the phone, and left cleaned up. It was a great experience and i would recommend them to any one.

Originally I posted a very very low rating for this company. I removed my original post at the request of the fence company after they came out for the 3rd time to fix some glaring errors. I have no ill will against the owner and wish him the best. The issues with the company stem from terrible communication skills and in order for them to run smoothly they need to fix some of the ways they handle business. Honestly the first product and experience was terrible. All of the post tops were unevenly cut at the mill and needed to be shaved even. The bottoms of the panels were uneven, slivers of pickets that were uneven on the tops and bottoms were placed over the junctions between panels to cover up how poorly they were installed. Some of the pickets were split all the way through and needed to be replaced. There was a huge language barrier between the us and the install crew, with no foreman who could speak English and they did not clean up after themselves. Frank, one of the owners, agreed to reimburse us for the terrible experience we had. Mike came out a week later and walked around with us to discuss our concerns and agreed to fix the glaring errors. He was very nice and prompt and agreed with our concerns, even explaining why they were wrong. It was quite an ordeal to get into contact with him again after the first visit, but 4 weeks later he did come back with his best crew members to replace three posts and many pickets, shaving all of the tops evenly. However, there were still some glaring errors that he came out a third time to fix. You can tell Mike takes great pride in his company and is willing to come out and fix things himself, always being friendly while doing it. He even left us a stack of pickets to use in the future at no cost. There are still uneven bottoms on the junctions between panels and the gate latches cannot be locked, but it looks a lot better than before. If the attention to detail had been important to the installers we would have had a better experience. The materials and the substantial look of the fence are amazing, but if I had known what we were going to deal with I would have chosen another company. They have a lot of potential, especially with Mike's perspective on fencing and the way he handles himself, but the company as a whole needs to work on communication, detail, professionalism and install standards. I have changed my review a bit because we are happy enough with the product to stain it and not have any more repairs.

Terrible!!! The customer service is non-existent since no one calls back unless it's to collect money. We received a quote from the salesman and scheduled the install only to have the WRONG FENCE installed! Luckily, we had not paid yet since the installation crew could not accept payments due to a severe language barrier. After a full two weeks of trying to contact someone (anyone!) they agreed to put in the fence that we ordered. Then they wanted to collect a payment that was $600 higher then what we were quoted. The salesman lied and said he never agreed to the lower price that he quoted us. This experience has been a complete nightmare and I would NOT recommend using this company for anything. The owner of the company, the salesman, the installation crew: all unprofessional and come with their own special set of ridiculous limitations. BEWARE.

I liked the people that I worked with and I liked their results. They brought samples for me to review before beginning the project. They were on time and finished the project, but there was a delay when ordering the supplies. But they made it up to me by giving me a higher grade of aluminum.

They completed their work efficiently. The problem happened afterwards. The latch is cheaply made and is currently falling off. Instead of bolting it on they uses sheet metal screws which any novice can tell you will not work on aluminum. I called the company twice and as of this date of this review. No one from Amerifence has come out and looked at the latch. I am exetremly disapoinnted in this company. UPDATE: Over 5 months ago I complained about the latch on the gate. The fence is aluminum and Amerifence used steet metal screws to attach the gate latch which have work themselves out. They should have bolted the latch on. Since no action was taken by them to address the situation, I had to fix the latch myself.

I decided to replace a portion of my fence between the house and garage because the gate was rubbing the ground from snow and ice during the winter of 2010-2011 and was badly damaged from wind at that same time. The former installer put the gate too close to the ground. I got estimates from three companies and decided to go with Amerifence.Since I travel a lot, my sister drove to my place the day of the installation. I wanted to make certain that the design I was promised was delivered correctly. On the day of the installation, about 10 individuals who did not speak English arrived and she tried to explain how the gait should be hung, she thought they understood, but evidently did not. I arrived at 5:00 that evening from a trip and was met by a guy saying, and quot;Check, check, check...and quot;. I thought he was asking me to check the fence, but soon I realized he wanted me to pay him directly for the remainder due on the fence! I walked to the back of my house and saw piles of direct where they dug fence posts and threw the dirt on my grass, the posts were too tall with caps (which I wasn't supposed to have) AND THE GATE WAS HANGING WRONG!! I told the man who had been asking for the check, but he didn't understand. I then called Amerifence and the representative told me she would follow up, not to worry and asked for my charge card #. I foolishly paid thinking that they would make good on their word. I've called numerous times. The representative came out once and told me about his personal life and why it had been so long to respond, which I understood and was willing to wait. He promised he would be back. That was Nov. I called again, the person who answered said the other rep I talked to was out today sick, etc. etc. 7 times I have called, I even said I would pay to have the gate changed to the right side and shortened because I feared the same thing would happen as the last gate. It's now Mar 2012...one week ago, the gate slammed shut and busted the fence post down the middle, the latch is hanging off and it snapped so far to the other side, we couldn't get it opened. Everything I feared, happened! I would NEVER use Amerifence again. They will promise anything, send out the non-English speaking crew to put up the template fence, get their money and that's it.

Waited a week for the estimate, but it never arrived. I thought maybe it went to Junk mail, so called and left him a message explaining to him that maybe it went to junk mail and if he could kindly resend it again. My message was never returned via phone or via email. So I never actually received an estimate from this company and will now be searching elsewhere for more estimates.

The price was high and the constuction was not at all to my satisfaction.

They did a great job on the fence. The only complaint I had was the language barrier. Other than that the fence is beautiful.

Had Mike come out and give us an estimate on putting a steel fence in our backyard . Mike knows his stuff and was very competitive price wise , we compared with a lot of other companies . Also dealt with Frank very nice was also very helpful . Everything went very smooth ,fence looks great . After the project was done it did take a little while to get Mike out to check out the fence and do some touch up for us . This is there busy time of year so we understood . Will probably get new latches for the gates in the future .

They showed up on time with all the materials. Then they started diging holes and getting it installed. the final product looks great and the gates work really well. It was a quick install and they cleaned everything up after the fact. I'm really happy with how easy it was to order, measure and have them install the fence. great work from a great business!

The fence was put together with screws instead of nails. The dirt was left where they did the holes. I asked them to place it somewhere else. I could barely speak with them. They weren’t very fluent. The supervisor’s English skills were not good. They were quickly in and out. They were here when they said would. They did an okay job. I was a little bit disappointed with the quality of work.

I would hesistate to use this company. I called requesting an estimate and they gave me a date over two weeks later. The company rep. Shannon Gardner showed up right on time, took the measurements, and said I would here from them on Monday. It has been nearly a week and 1/2 and I still haven't heard anything. If this is how potential customers are viewed I think I'll just take my business elsewhere.

I emailed Amerifence through Angie's List with a detailed request for an estimate and a specific request to call me to setup a time for an appointment. It is now a full 8 days later and I still have heard nothing from the company about coming out to do an estimate. I am not sure what happened on their side but I will not call them because the follow through and attention to detail has already been poor. Cedar Creek Fence Company is the only company that actually called me back, scheduled an appointment, showed up on time and provided an estimate.

Initially, the estimate process went really well and after receiving the estimate I called them to let them know I would like to schedule their services. I was told at that time that the final paperwork would be emailed to me the next day. Well, after not receiving that email for over a week I called them and was told that the initial estimate was wrong do to a measurement error by the individual that came out to my house and that they would have to remeasure and send me a revised quote. It took them over a week to send me the revised quote that added an additional $700 to the project and it was sent only after I called again to find out what was going on. I did not and will not be using them for any future projects.

Amerifence quoted us a fair price. After research I realized we couldn't even do it ourselves for that price. Plus they upgraded to cedar and added the scalloped edges for free. They worked with us for a payment plan, showed up on time, and finished in just a few hours. I recommend contacting Amerifence in the winter/off season for the best deals.

Mike from Amerifence came out to give us our quote - he was great with explaining what that we could do in our backyard and he was very patient with us. Mike was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions. Scheduling the work was a breeze! The staff was very professional and easy to work with. Our fence turned out beautiful! I would definitely work with them again and refer them to our family and friends!

They dropped the ball when it came to send me my estimate. They told me they would send me an email with the estimate and didn't. They had great ideas, but they didn't follow through.

They were very good! We're extremely happy with their work! They did what they said they were going to do. They installed our fence in one day and cleaned up after themselves. We've had no problems with our fence.
