Altic Lock Service

He arrived early (which was good) and promptly rekeyed the locks. He was here for 45 minutes max.

We took possession of our new home on a Sunday and wanted to rekey everything ASAP. Called multiple locksmiths that morning, Altic was the first to return our call and was able to be at the house within several hours. The locks were from the 1950's and the sellers left a pile of keys so I think it took him a while to sort everything out. He was able to key the storm doors to the same key and all the deadbolts to one key as well. He was at the house for several hours. He cut multiple spare keys in his van for us as well. Very convenient and prompt service!

Wonderful! I called on Saturday, looking for Monday appointment. Monday was full, but he said he could come immediately. He was there within 2 hours, and performed the work. He was efficient and professional.

After looking at several Locksmiths on Angie's List, I decided on Altic Lock Service. I also checked their website. I was pleased that they listed the labor costs for their various services. I called Altic on Tuesday, July 24th, and spoke to Barry Campbell. I gave him a description of what we needed to have done, and he asked several questions to get further clarification. Barry quoted approximate prices for the services, which matched his website. I asked if he had any time available this week, because the following two week were going to be hectic for our family. He offered Friday, July 27th, at 10:00 AM, so we set the appointment for that date and time. On the 27th, Barry showed up at 9:55 AM, and I walked him around the house to show him the various doors that needed service. He got right to work. He asked questions as needed, but basically just dug in to get the job done. When he had finished creating the eight new keys, he went to each door to make sure that the keys worked. He tested the three doors that didn't latch properly to make sure that his strike plate adjustments were correct. He handed over the keys and asked me to test them too. Everything was done and working to my expectations. I also feel that his labor charges are very reasonable. The overall time from start to finish was about two hours.

I was very pleased with the promptness of the service call and resonible price that was charged.

I recently found myself in a position where I needed the locks on my house changed. Being a brave soul and stubbornly independent, I decided this was a task I could handle. I quickly found myself struggling with the current locks, getting them out, and getting the new sets I had purchased to reassemble properly. I called a locksmith from the online yellow pages but was left with a very uncomfortable feeling after the phone conversations with him. When his estimated arrival time came and went with no word from him, I cancelled the appointment. Since I was dealing with home security and wanted to feel I could trust the service I was getting, I got on Angie's list and found Altic Lock Service - Barry was highly recommended, a member of the Society of Professional Locksmiths, and MOST importantly, a local company NOT a national clearinghouse dispatching random contractors. He arrived earlier than estimated and not only was able to use the locksets I had purchased, he went above and beyond by reinforcing and correcting some lock issues I wasn't even aware had existed for the last 20 years or so. The pricing was incredibly reasonable and I was delighted that he was able to make that happen by using the hardware I had already purchased. He even handled my very 'helpful' dog with great humor - definitely a plus in my book. His work was first rate, he was polite and professional, and I would highly recommend him.

I called Altic Locksmith at approximately 6:50 for keys that were locked in a van. Mr. Campbell arrived in less than an hour and was able to successfully retrieve the keys from the front seat in less than 10 minutes. The $65 covered the trip charge (within Marion County) and the service charge.

Barry was on time, very courteous, and professional. We will definitely call on Altic Lock Service if needed in the future!

I never had chains at this house and I lived here for 30 years. After the loss of my husband there were people who came in to my life who were demanding his belongings and the worst one was that there were 2 groups. One group included some people that I hired the other one was my husband's co-worker. He knew that my husband had this item and before my husband was buried he called. I met him once, 20 years before, he said what happened and would come over and would help, I was desperate and I was appreciative of any help and within 5 minutes he was insisting on keys so he could look for this design. I was shocked and told I don't know where the keys are. He pestered me for 2 and frac12;, 3 months. All had come over within 8 or 10 times and within 5 minutes he asked whether I found the keys. Then he said he'll order the new keys for me, and I told I know the keys are here and don't do that. So the last time he was here, he told me he had looked up the key numbers, because it was a cabinet and he was going to order them. He was willing to lie with anybody to get that cabinet. He scared me a lot and these other people I hired terrified me so much and I will never get over that. I have never been scared in my life and these people knew I was alone. He was very professional and I would use him again.

Barry was terrific to work with from start to finish. His pricing was significantly cheaper than competitors on Angie's List with A grades, which was only one factor. My hubby met him @ the new house on a Thursday afternoon and Barry worked for a few hours changing the cores, rekeying and ensuring that each entrance was secure. He found that one of the deadbolts didn't work properly as it didn't have the correct depth in the frame for the lock to go into. Barry took the initiative to fix the problem so that the lock worked properly. In this day when so many people seem to just do what's needed to get by, it was refreshing. We were thoroughly impressed with Barry's work and would not hesitate to call him again if we have a need and would happily and confidently recommend him to others. I wish all of our experiences working with providers was this good!

I had locked my keys in my car today. As far as price goes he was pretty average for what I have spent in the past for situations like this. If you live in Marion the price is cheaper. I live in Hancock so I had to pay a bit more. Worth it though seeing as he was there right on time. A very nice gentleman. I will use him in the future if I have another brain fart and lock my keys in the car.

Barry arrived on time. He rekeyed the locks. I was pleased that he pointed our a couple of problems on 2/3 doors. He corrected both problems for a nominal charge. I certainly recommend his service.

I called for an appointment to have the locks changed. The person that answered the phone was courteous and very accomodating. The service rep arrived on time and provided excellent service.

Barry arrived on time to re-key or replace an old door lock for which I did not have a key. After investigation he discovered the lock was completey inoperative. Barry offered me four different options and I opted for the cyclinder replacement.. Within in minutes Barry had the lock fixed and he kept me advised step by step. Barry was very detail oriented and professional

They repaired it, but it was kind of a tricky problem. There were people who identified it as something that was broken. At the same time there were other people who checked out and made sure that what they thought was broken was actually broken. They also looked at what was causing the lock to not work, and fixed that problem. If we would've called most locksmiths they would've said certain things would need to be replaced.

Arrived on the time arranged. Installed the lock, showed how to operate. Very happy with service.

We called around 3:30 pm and they were able to come the same day (6pm). He arrived a few minutes early and talked us through our options for consolidating the 5 separate locks in our older home. The price he quoted was very fair, lower than we expected. He got to work immediately and stayed until the job was done at 9pm. The final price came in lower than expected and he even gave us a new door handle for free. If we knew it would be this quick and easy to repair our locks we would have done it years ago!!

He came and unlocked my car for me so that I could drive home. It was great, he called me an hour ahead of getting there so that I wouldn't have to stand by my car all day. He was very friendly and very polite. He got the job done quickly.

Barry did a great job. I called in the morning and he was able to come out that afternoon. I was impressed with the same day service, as well as his work. He arrived early and worked quickly. He was professional and helpful in offering solutions to any issues that arose. I would definitely recommend!

Barry, the owner, arrived on time, and worked carefully, but quickly. He told me what the problem was, and fixed it. Now I have a working door lock. I would gladly recommend this company to anyone.

Arrived on time for estimate and was able to proceed with repairs/refurbishment immediatly. Significant care was required as many of the doors were antique in nature. All keys functioned the first time and everytime. Protected antique finish yet significantly improved secruity. All work was completed in estimated time.

I emailed Barry early this morning and he reponded immediatley, got here at 1pm and was done by a little after 3pm.
