This experience exceeded our expectations. We bought a condo that needed a good deal of work. Not only was it dated and worn, but it had been built handicapped accessible, which we do not need. The basics were good but the floor plan had some oddities. I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal which entitled us to a consultation at a reduced cost. Kathy Cuppy was extremely responsive and had an "I can help you" attitude from the outset. She came to see our condo and discuss our goals on a Monday. That Friday morning she had seven subcontractors here looking, measuring, discussing. She had a bid to us the next week. Impressive! Kathy and her husband, Dave, work as a team, and each bring their own talents to the business. This made us feel very good about working with them and they did not disappoint. Dave is a carpenter and the lead contractor; Kathy runs the office and interfaces with the customers and subcontractors (and gives good decorating advice too). They do one job at a time, so you know your project will not be delayed due to another contract. The bid included a time line and a proposed start and finish date. Many of the cost items (subcontractor ones) were a fixed price quote. Costs for demolition, dry wall hanging and carpentry were an estimate, and the billing for this was actual hours worked and materials used. This estimate was very accurate. Our job was completed on time. If we had stayed with our original plans we would have been under budget on the entire project. We added some things along the way so came in slightly over budget. Every time we discussed adding something they were up-front about how this would affect our end cost. We totally gutted the kitchen and master bath. We removed walls. We closed off a couple of doorways in other areas. We installed all new lighting, cabinets, mirrors, flooring, appliances. When we would ask about the possibility/feasibility of something major, like removing a wall, the answer was always realistic. They would tell us that it was possible and give a price range, but let us know that they would not have a firm price until they got in to the wall and could see what was there and how much time it took. The subcontractors All Phase used for our job ranged from very good to superb. I felt very good about having them in my home. We chose to be out of town for most of the time that the work was going on. During the time that we were here we were impressed by the work ethic and attention to detail of everyone who was in our home. Without exception every individual was polite, friendly, cleaned up after himself and seemed personally invested in our project. I have heard may horror stories about major remodeling projects but experienced the opposite with Kathy and Dave Cuppy. I highly recommend All Phase for your project!

Fantastic! Dave designed a new deck which better fit our needs and mad more land available for gardening. He suggested nifty railing elements which made the deck much more finished looking than the old one. The crew kept to the schedule and the final deck is much nicer than I had hoped.

The whole process went very well. Dave Cuppy and his guys are extremely talented and professional. Dave came up with several solutions during the process to address problems with the job or new requests from me. He is very particular in his work and the final product reflects that. Kathy is a true pleasure to work with. She offers great design ideas, and is very positive and responsive. She also has great relationships with different vendors and her sub-contractors. Another thing I like about All Phase Group is that they stick with a job until it is complete. They do not hop from job to job. I came to trust them completely. We love our new bathroom. It looks beautiful and we have received many compliments on it. It is super functional as well. We will definitely use All Phase Group again for other home projects. Not only are they good at what they do, they are fun, nice people to know.

We felt like we were in good hands from our first meeting with Kathy and Dave. We had a specific design in mind for our sunroom and it turned out exactly as we imagined. There were difficult design elements to overcome but Dave did an excellent job, submitting a detailed drawing for our approval. Prior to work starting Dave and Kathy arranged a meeting at our home with the sub contractors who would be working on our sunroom. Once the job started Kathy kept everything organized, we were given a weekly schedule of the work planned. We did encounter a couple of glitches, however, they were handled very quickly and professionally by Kathy and Dave, they take a lot of pride in their work and it shows. Once the work was completed Kathy cooked and delivered a delicious meal for us to enjoy.

Even after making several promises that she was doing her best to get it to us, Kathy never provided a quote within her self-designated time period. Kathy insisted on a 1-3 week window which is her 'standard', while all other companies bidding got theirs in within 5 days. We said we would wait for their quote before making a decision. I expressed several times via email that it would be appreciated if she could get it to us quickly, she indicated each time that she was 'doing her best' but that July 15th was the last day of her window. It is past that date and there is still no quote. I don't object to anyone passing on a job if it does not suit, what I object to is having my time wasted. As it is, waiting for her quote has put our project behind by 2 weeks, something I am not happy about and is a direct result of how the quote process was handled. It could all have been avoided if she had just been upfront and indicated they would not be submitting a quote; and each of those emails was an opportunity to indicate their intentions, rather than promising they were doing their best to get us the quote. It was made worse that she kept promising something she never delivered. Again, this review is on the quote process only, Kathy has good ideas, and I cannot comment on the quality of work as no work was done.
Description of Work: This review is on the quote process only. Kathy is very personable and has very good ideas. I can't speak to their construction quality.

My mother had a stroke in May. My mother-in-law died in June. We have had two more funerals since then. I tell everyone that bids take 1 - 3 week under NORMAL circumstances.( I cannot get anyone a bid back in one week right now.) I was VERY upfront about my ability to get this prospect her quote in just a few days. She gave me one week maximum and I said only that "I will do my best." I tell everyone that I will understand if they are in a hurry and must move forward. I told her if I did not have a quote to her on that 7th day -- she should go ahead and make her decision without me. She said she really wanted me. I am very disappointed when someone takes the time to make a very negative review like this. I do not deserve an "F." I gave her lots of good ideas. She did not pay for the onsite appointment. She had nothing to lose and lots to gain just from our meeting in her home even without a written estimate. I work very hard to provide service to everyone that reaches out to me but I am not perfect...and a reasonable response from my potential clients is all I ask.

All Phrase is the way to go! They're professionalism is top notch. They are punctual and reliable. They are very thorough in their explanation of the process and what they will be working on each day and week. They re-did our master bedroom, moving the bathroom to the other side of the room and building 2 new his and her closets for us. We had 3 windows installed including a transom window in our bathroom. We have the most gorgeous shower now! It ended up being exactly as I envisioned it to be. They met and exceeded all of our expectations on this project! This is the fourth MAJOR project they have done for us and we would definitely use them again!

This is the 4th major project that we've done with All Phase, and once again the project went smoothly from beginning to end. Kathy and Dave worked with us on the design, and Kathy's review of the materials that we chose was a huge help. When problems were encountered, Kathy and Dave quickly found ways to correct them. Another major plus for All Phase is that their subcontractors are reliable, and they are extremely good at their trades (both the plumber and the fellow who did our tilework are virtuosos). Just like all of our previous experiences with All Phase, the project began on time, and was completed on time. One of the things that Kathy does very well is that she keeps the project on schedule. We were surprised at how complicated a bathroom remodel could be, but with their help and guidance, it all came together beautifully.
Description of Work: All Phase remodeled the master bathroom and master bedroom. The master bathroom was gutted and all new fixtures and tile were installed. We replaced and re-faced the fireplace in the master bedroom, installed new built-in bookcases and replaced the carpeting.

Excellent. I haven't come across many people in this industry that care about service, workmanship, and professionalism as much as I do. They were very impressive. Here are the highlights where All Phase Group excelled: * Scheduling - once I agreed to the work they started with 2-3 days. I might have been lucky with timing, but with starting work so quickly I'm equally impressed with how efficiently the work was completed. * Efficiency - the majority of the work was completed in 3 and a half days (excluding drywall finishing, painting, carpet, and completing electrical upgrades). They obviously can get sub contractors to come quickly, when they ask - electrical, plumbing, HVAC. * Professional - they communicated clearly and regularly with me about what they would do, what I needed to do, what time workers would arrive, etc. They took care of all necessary permits (side note - they don't cut corners when it comes to getting the correct permits). They use a convenient lock box system for workers. They gave me architectural drawings and patiently discussed various details and options of things like door hinges and light fixture locations. Area to improve - after my initial meeting with Kathy to look at the space, it took around 6 weeks to get a quote with a couple reminders from me. Items of note: * They really do seem to handle one job at a time (when it comes to their own workers and many sub contractors). This included framing, drywall, interfacing with HVAC, electrical, plumbing * I gave them a "B" on price only because they are not the cheap, low-cost option. However, I'd give them an "A" when it comes to VALUE. * They have solid relationships with various sub contractors, suppliers, etc. It's evident. * The work is complete aside from the carpet install at the time I'm writing this.

This is the second bathroom that All Phase completed for me and I couldn't be more pleased. I give them a B on price because they will not be the lowest estimate or cost but "you get what you pay for." I paid for and GOT and excellent job! I contracted with All Phase to renovate both the master bath and main hall bath as well as installing cove moulding along two bedroom ceilings. The master bath was completed first and I have already posted that review. Due to vacation we took a short break and moved on the the hall bath. Dave and the guys arrived promptly, as always, on time and got right to work. Before demo they draped plastic on my white carpeting. They were always considerate to avoid soiling or damaging anything. On the first day they removed the contents of the bathroom including the tub and floor. The toilet was placed in my garage for reinstallation. Everything else went into the dumpster in my driveway. Kathy provided me a time line of the project and everything was completed as planned. The entire process took about two weeks which included a few down days due to Thanksgiving. Not every part of the process required a full day but each contractor arrived on time, was clean and considerate of my home. Kathy and Dave Cuppy explained everything and promptly addressed any questions or concerns that I had. These are great people to work with and I look forward to All Phase renovating my kitchen in the future.

We had a mess of a basement to begin with and our project started out as a full basement completion before we had to scale back and ask All Phase to just get us set up with a functional space where we could complete the finishing details ourselves. Kathy and her team were very punctual, always showing up when they said they would. We were not home during most of the work and felt very confident with the group on our home without us. The reason for a B rating is because there were a few instances where we felt communication was lacking. Also, our work was mostly done by All Phase's sub contractors and we ultimately needed All Phase to be around for a bit more supervision and communication. That is NOT to say that the subs weren't excellent because they absolutely were, there were just moments throughout that we felt All Phase was not as efficient as a coordinating general contractor as we hoped them to be when we hired them. Now that our project is complete we would work with All Phase again. Kathy and Dave are genuinely good people. All of our feedback during the project was well received and appropriately handled. And our basement is on its way to beautiful because of their hard work!

These clients were very friendly and expressed gratitude for all our efforts throughout this job. I appreciate the time they took time to write this review. This job had an extremely tight budget.. This is the only job we have ever taken where we were given "not to exceed instructions" and told to absolutely "stop work" when we got to a certain number. The client stated he could finish the work himself if we got to that number. With good planning and proper execution, we came in UNDER budget (under our good faith estimate). What they perceived to be a lack of supervision was on our part an effort to keep the costs to a very minimum. Had I to do it over again -- based upon this review -- I would take a different tack altogether.

The kitchen looks beautiful! The addition of the peninsula came unfinished and they matched the stain to the existing cabinets and it looks as if it was always meant to have this layout. All of the finishing touches and extra work that they did have created a very beautiful new look to the kitchen. The final price came in very close to the estimate, too.

There was no question that I would use All Phase for my project after meeting Kathy Cuppy. In her cheerful, professional and no nonsense way I was assured that my bathroom renovation would go perfectly and it did. I was consistently updated during the process and informed of what to expect. All of my concerns and questions were addressed promptly. I was able to continue to live in my home during the process with a minimum amount of disruption. It was a pleasure to have Dave Cuppy and his guys, Mark and Brian working in my home. They were clean and considerate. All of the subcontractors that were used were equally professional. Kathy orchestrated everything so that the entire project was completed less than three weeks. All Phase transformed my nineteen seventies master bathroom into a lovely updated master suite. The door to the bath was widened and a pocket door installed. The linen closet area was transformed into a five foot shower and new tall cabinets were installed to hold linens. Plumbing was relocated and a Toto toilet with washlet was installed. The shower and floor were tiled, the floor heated for comfort and grab bars installed. Crown moulding around the ceiling in the bath and bedroom is the finishing touch.

All Phase and their team where always professional, punctual, maintained deadlines and paid close attention to detail. Their subs for electrical work, plumbing and painting, were the same; on time, attentive, efficient. Everyone worked really well together and the project felt good to be involved in. I am now moved in and enjoying all their hard work!!!
Description of Work: I purchased a very well built home on the north side of Indianapolis. It needed some custom work to bring it up to date and to fit my specific needs. Dave and Kathy (plus their team) made this a smooth process. I did not reside in the new home during the renovation, but it was all completed and buttoned up ahead of schedule. I gutted and remodeled the entire kitchen, took out walls opening it up to the dining room and formal living room. I also had two bedrooms combined and converted into a very large master suit featuring a coffee bar/wet bar. We painted the entire home, customized paint for the main study, all new carpet throughout bedrooms and study, refinished all the wood floors throughout the rest of the home. Dave executed design ideas with ease, maintaining form and function. Kathy helped me (I'm a widower) select the perfect colors and materials. All my family and friends are amazed by the transformation.

It was a pleasure doing business with All-Phase! I could tell from our first meeting that Kathy had a good feel for what I wanted to do in the remodeled rooms and how "fancy" I wanted to get (medium fancy). She was on top of the whole project and helped resolve the inevitable loose ends that arise when multiple types of work need to be done on the job. The All-Phase team were able to accommodate our on-job requests and developed custom pieces where necessary (like to support the heavy granite countertops in the laundry). The workers were courteous and clean and were concerned about any disruption they might create during the course of the remodel. It's clear that customer satisfaction is very important to the team and they work hard to get the job done right.

I cannot say enough good things about Dave and Kathy Cuppy and their carpenters, Mike and Brian. They are all perfectionists! It must be done correctly and insist their sub contractors perform the same way. The kitchen was not simple...even though I was not replacing the cabinets, they still had to remove uppers in order to raise the ceiling. The old kitchen ceiling was one of those with the large florescent fixture and really low. Kathy had suggested we do this and she was right! It has made a huge difference having everything opened up! We went with a quartz counter top (Cambria) which is absolutely beautiful, porcelain backsplash, new sink and faucets and Kathy even helped me shop for back splash, new hardware for cabinets, and crown molding. The hardware was particularly difficult to find due to darkening around old back plate and handle. But Kathy knew the right place to shop and took me there. They know the right places to shop in general to find just what you want. We also added under the cabinet lighting which was a GREAT decision, pot lights and other lighting (all LED) The scheduling of the job was like clockwork...not one of those deals where they leave you hanging for days wondering where they are. Communication was key...Kathy was always updating me via phone and e-mail regarding questions, etc. Every day when the guys were done for the day, they cleaned up in the work area (our garage) before they left. I kidded them that it looked cleaner when they were done than before they started. I can't imagine using another company for any of my future projects! .
Description of Work: They did a kitchen remodel, replaced 2 sets of large closet doors in garage, replaced attic pull down stairs, built new stairs from garage into house and added two rails on those steps.

I had really high hopes for this contractor. They have excellent scores here on Angie's List and looked like they really do quality work. I guess I'm the odd one out. I started trying to contact All Phase for a quote in April. I sent them a message/request through the contact email form on their website. I didn't hear anything for two weeks, so then called the phone number on their website and left a message (in case the form wasn't working). A week later I received a voicemail reply from the company. They said that since I'd left my email address in my message to them, she'd email me the next day. A few more days passed (we're now in May), so I emailed her with my home location and what I was wanting. Two and a half weeks later, still no reply, so I tried to send one last email. I finally received an email reply the next day. In it was a date and time window for when she could come see my home for the quote (June 9th). I replied saying that I would make that time/date work and would get the time off from work. June 9th comes, and I take the time off from work and get home to meet Kathy for my visit. The window of time mentioned in the email comes and goes with no visitors to my home. I call and leave a message asking what happened to them. Guess I really shouldn't have been disappointed and should have seen it coming. A week later I got a call back from Kathy. She stated that she did not have any appointment for me on her calendar and that she had, in fact, canceled all of her appointments that were scheduled for that day because of a pet emergency. Apparently since I didn't receive a confirmation email, I should have known that the time and date was really set. So, an appointment was again set for June 24th. On the 24th, Kathy showed up, looked around, took some pictures and measurements. She said it would be three weeks to a month to get a quote done. On July 19th I received an email asking if I still wanted a quote (yes). The quote was emailed to me on July 20th. The estimate for remodeling my small (1950s ranch home) kitchen was more than half of what I paid to purchase the home. And that was without the cost of new appliances. I really couldn't justify that kind of money. I do understand that Kathy is running a one-woman office and that the economy is picking up. But waiting usually a week or more between contacts just trying to set up a quote didn't give me any warm fuzzies about the actual work being done on time. I will say that I did like the company's contract structure and that they make their own cabinetry.
Description of Work: I contacted this contractor to get a quote for a kitchen remodel.

Response from All Phase Group Inc
I am disappointed to see that this propect took the time to make such a detailed report criticizing a service that I provide at no charge. I take the time to go on the appointment during which I give good ideas and share my 35 years of experience (Note: I did not stand this person up-- they never responded to my appointment time suggestion Email.) ... there's travel time to and from .. .I figure the estimate and then type and send the details in writing -- all at no charge to the prospective client. The amount of money this person spent on their house has nothing to do with the $40,000 kitchen bid -- which is the industry average. I hope everyone reads the many reports below that speak to the performance(s) by All Phase actually doing the work on so many different kinds of projects. I remain happy to have provided this member kitchen information, Kathy Cuppy

We wanted to remodel an area we had neglected for over 30 years. All Phase made several suggestions on how to do this and we liked them all. In addition we had a deadline of our son's wedding date when guests would be in the house and we wanted the work completed prior to that. Since this was the second project we have done with All Phase (a major family room makeover was completed last summer and we loved it) they assured us that they would be able to do the work in the allotted time, assuming other suppliers came thru with orders for materials. Additionally, as with all projects in an older home, we had several non-current-project related items needing All Phase's expertise and they were able to accomplish those items in addition to maintaining the current project's schedule. The end result was spectacular and we couldn't be more pleased. All our guests liked the makeovers and we are already planning the next project we would like All Phase Group to do for us!! They really do quality work, their craftsmanship is superb, and they take great pride in the final outcome and getting it right. We would highly recommend them to anyone considering remodeling or even new additions.
Description of Work: Completely remodeled one bedroom/office and took out an existing storage/service area to make the room bigger. Removed carpeting in all bedrooms, including the room described in the first sentence, and the living room. New lighting and additional electrical services added to several of the rooms and hallways connecting them. All new areas were painted, both walls and ceilings, and then new flooring, mostly carpeting and some laminate flooring, were installed.

Kathy is the consumate professional!! Her communication and follow up is outstanding. She took time to explain all the details to us, what to expect, what services she offered, etc. We did not use All Phase, as we went with a contractor that worked on a family members home. It was a very tough decision, and from the 5 quotes we received, All Phase was always toward the top of our list. We would not hesitate to work with Kathy, and we will most certainly call her the next time we have a need.
Description of Work: Kathy came out to give us an estimate on a total kitchen remodel.

I had a difficult job, small but mighty I like to say. I own a conservative ranch in Meridian Hills. I wanted to make my home space efficient, yet elegant. Goal - to take out two main walls to open the space between the kitchen and living/dinning creating one large main living space. This seems easy enough, yet all the utilities for the entire home where located within those two walls. So they rallied their troops and derived a plan. We relocated everything (I mean everything, Electrical panel, water heater, water softener, HVAC, washer/dryer) creating a new mud room and entry from the garage to the house. Had to trench out the floor in my breezeway to run all this - what a mess, but hey it worked! My kitchen is amazing! I have 3 times the storage as we removed the side entry door to create more cabinet space and installed a new beautiful front door to be now used as the primary entry. Everyone who sees it is blown away at the transformation!! We also redid all the hardwoods throughout the entire house, installed new cast concrete fireplace surrounding and mantel, made the master closet larger and customized, ran can lighting throughout, small updates to both bathrooms, painted entire home inside and out, new gutters, very large new exposed aggregate back patio! I couldn't be happier! Kathy kept workers on the job, never a down day!
Description of Work: Started as just a Kitchen remodel to open up into the rest of the house...

This job took 6 weeks to complete and was probably one of the most challenging projects we have taken on. The key to running a job like this: detailed planning, micro-managed execution and follow up, follow up, follow up. I have a tremendous team of employees and captive subcontractors and suppliers (that have been with me for many years)...kudos to all of you who worked on this job. I will post the photographs soon. :-) Kathy Cuppy ALL PHASE GROUP INC. C: 317/694-0608
