We are a nationwide provider of ADT-monitored home security systems. Available equipment options include: digital keypads, mobile app control, motion detectors, door sensors, window sensors, wireless keychain remotes, doorbell cameras, indoor cameras, outdoor cameras, cellular network connectivity, high-decibel sirens, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, flood sensors, and smart home automation.

We do not sell, service, or install the following: third-party home security equipment, third-party camera systems, commercial security systems, commercial fire systems, CCTV systems, self-monitored security systems or window bars.
When I called to set up the service, the salesperson was very professional. The basic installation kit did not provide enough entry sensors and he promised two extra to cover all of my windows and doors. I did not receive them with the initial shipment. When I called to let them know, they sent one more sensor not the two that were promised. I ended up ordering the last sensor through their website because I'm not someone who likes to call and complain. The self-installation of the sensors is pretty easy and the set-up of the electronics is also simple. The sensors are all wireless and there are no wires to run to each entry point. Big plus! I was able to easily accomplish the set up tasks on my own and the first week of service was not monitored which allowed me to play around with the system, including the extensive web interface and iPhone and Android apps. I have an iPhone and an Android tablet and the apps work well on both platforms. Through these interfaces, including the web site, you can easily update your information, contact lists (good for when you go on vacation and someone else is watching your house), you can add and remove users, review your activity history, and so much more. When I forget to arm the system before going to bed, I can do so right from my phone without having to get up! As far as cost, there was some initial cost in purchasing the equipment. The cost was reduced since I agreed to a three year contract. The monthly fees are around $35, which seems to be fairly similar to the rest of the industry from my research. The kit includes a base unit and internet gateway. I later added a cellular gateway for additional support-- normally, the service relies on a broadband Internet connection, adding the cellular gateway gives you a more reliable backup communication method. All three devices provide redundancy to each other so that if one or two of them are disabled, the system still functions. I love this feature because an intruder could easily find two of my devices, but the third is purposely in a different part of the house. Another plus of the system is that if my Internet goes out or comes back up, it sends me an email. I have been able to spot Internet outage patterns and report them to my ISP. I pay a lot of for Internet service and this allows me to make sure I'm paying for quality, reliable service. The motion sensor included with the kit is supposed to disregard pets that weigh less than 30 pounds, however my 10 pound dog did trip it during the first week of monitored service and LifeShield representatives called me immediately. I no longer use the motion sensor. The package also includes an alarm monitor, which you place next to a smoke detector or other alarm so while it doesn't have a built-in smoke alarm with the security package, it does monitor an existing smoke alarm if you want it to. Overall, I am happy with the service and technology. I hope they keep pushing the envelop with home automation and security tools!

The experience from start to finish was great. I was little hesitant at first because I am not the most tech savvy person, but they ensured me that it was easier than I thought and that they would be there to help if I got stuck anywhere. Once I received the system, it really wasn't all that hard to setup. I was a little unsure of a few things, so I called support to double-check and they even walked me through the rest of the setup. The system seems to work great so far, I haven't had any false alarms. The part I really like are the audible tones whenever a door or window opens. I have older kids so now I know when they come and go if I am upstairs (especially when its late at night!). I would definitely recommend them to anyone on the fence about getting a security system. Not having to put any holes in the wall and being able to take the system with me if I move is a real nice feature.

I bought a security system because my wife and I have a young family and wanted piece of mind. I did a lot of research online a decided to purchase a LifeShield system based on a few factors. The first was the technology for the price. The system is wireless and runs over the internet, not old phone lines. I can see the difference that being connected to a high speed internet connection makes. They have these event logs that show every single thing that happens on my system and it shows up with in seconds after it occurs. The fact that they offer mobile apps and a website to manage my system was a huge plus. The android app works great, I armed the system from the office today. The website has a lot of features, in the future I will spend more time checking them out. I was able to install the system myself. It only took about 15 minutes. That helped on the price end. It was really easy, I just followed the quick set up guide and it took no time. The whole system was configured right out of the box, the only thing I had to add was an additional window sensor that I bought. My wife loves the key chain remote for arming and disarming. She was worried that she would forget her security code, now she doesn't worry about it. I think that the hardware looks ok, I want to add some cameras in the future and they now have a few options. Hopefully we won't need this system, but it makes me feel better.

We contacted LifeShield and after the initial discussions, they sent the kit to us. The installation was a breeze (less than an hr) and was nicely guided in the DVD that came with the system. We tried the system in the initial "grace period" we got (where the system isn't being monitored so that you get used to it) and found it easy to use. Two months down the lane (as of today) and we have no major issues. The system functions well. Hope this keeps up in the long run!
Description of Work: We were looking for a home security system for our new apartiment. The first choice was obviously ADT. However, as ADT had strict requirement of a minimum 3 year contract, I had to look for other options and that's where I met LifeShield. The system we have is really cool. It's all wireless (exept for the base, which is wired) and has a great look too. To date, the system has functioned really well (without any false alarms). LifeShield allows you to monitor and manage the security system remotely (both, by Keychain and thrugh their iPhone app). I have personally managed the system (armed and disarmed) from outside the USA. Similar systems features are offered by others, but cost a lot more. For around 40 bucks a month and a flexible contract (mine is 1 year), I am pleased with the service. Fortunately, we haven't had true emergencies so far, so I don't know how that part is handled, but I think it should be good. Their customer service may not be the best (the time taken to reach an agent is way too long), but they have managed to resolve all the issues I have faced whenever I could reach an agent. Fortunately, I didn't have to call them after the initial set up was done. PROS: Wireless system, iPhone app, allows you to manage the system from anywhere in the world, simple to operate and easy to install. The control panel has a presentable look (better than the other control panels I have seen). CONS: Time taken to reach a representative is too long. Summary: If you are looking for a decent home alarm system with a relatively low price, LifeShield is a good choice.

We haven’t made a decision yet. The man was very friendly and knowledgeable about the product; he answered all our questions. They are local and he followed up with us about a week later to see if I had any more questions. I told him we had not made up our mind. He wasn’t testy, but, it will be all right; we just have not decided yet.

There are two pieces of equipment that they have. One you can run over the internet and the other is a SIM card that runs over the phone. I bought both of them and one did not work so I am returning that one. Everything else has gone smoothly. The monitoring is about $40 a month. You are also able to monitor this system over the internet. They also send out email messages which I like.

We are not happy with LifeShield. I don't know that the system is trustworthy. When they installed the system, they had to have two people come out, and it took 10 hours to install it. We ended up having to get another security system and now we are paying for 2. The LifeShield system is costing us $30 per month.

Very well, system was ordered according to our needs. Do keep in contact, when needing help on setup, very helpful and courtesy, Called them several times, thought at first it would be difficult, however just basic DIY skills needed. I just didn't pay close attention to the instructions. I do have confusion problems, but I still got it done rather easily.
Description of Work: Installed a self install security system in our home. LifeShield gives you a form to see what best fits your personal need. You have a 30 day trial period to learn and test the system.We installed a system using high speed internet and VOIP. You can also select cellphone notification, however that is not feasible for us. They give you a certification of connection and setup with police and fire departments. User interface easy to use. Get customer service to help set up.

The alarm works good when the batteries are new my only issue is with the batteries and minor service concerns. The sensors drain the batteries very quickly and they need to be replaced at least every three to six months or sooner. LifeShield has given me the batteries at no cost and recently sent me 7 more and offered to replace any sensor which the battery runs out in with a 18 month period which is pretty nice. Dealing with LifeShield has been pretty easy so far, I had a few sensors fail and they replaced them with no issue, well they did forget to mail my siren detector and it was delayed a few weeks until I called and complained. They are an affordable alarm company, the equipment is cheap enough to cover your entire home without breaking the bank. I recommend a DIY system over ADT any day, another affordable provider is Front Point and they offer GE equipment. If you do get them I recommend a cellular back-up and a 2nd control panel to hide somewhere safe. This helps to avoid the crash and smash, if the crook can't find and destroy the control panel within the 60 second delay the alarm will work if they find all the panels then your out of luck. Any system can be crashed and smashed.
Description of Work: I purchased an alarm system with 2 control panels, a key chain remote, 7 open/close sensors, a siren sensor and a cellular back-up.

Description of Work: Previously left a report describing my dissatisfaction with the contract terms (in a nutshell - Ingrid, which is now Lifeshield, indemnified itself for any acts committed or omitted by itself and/or agents - including a failure to contact police or emergency if the monitoring company/employee was drunk, high, or plain stupid). I sent my comments on 11/22/2011 to Ms. Ata, inviting her to reply so we could discuss/negotiate our differences. More than 30 days later, I have not had the courtesy of a reply - or even an acknowledgement. For those interested in this company, please make certain that you (or your attorney) thoroughly review their contract - it may save you time, money, and your peace of mind.

Spent a lot of time researching companies and types of systems. I found the equipment of InGrid (Note: This company is now called Lifeshield and is based in Yardley, PA) to have some features not available elsewhere (Siren that sounds and alerts when your existing smoke detectors trip, eliminating need to buy multiple smoke/fire detectors from alarm company). I contacted the company and discussed many issues, selected the equipment, gave my credit card info, and received the contract to review and approve. That is where the experience went horribly wrong. I had 2 attorneys review the contract and was advised that I should decline the service because the contract afforded me no rights, and indemnified Lifeshield (InGrid) from virtually everything, including gross negligence committed by them (or their agent/assignee). Because I wasn't able to view the terms of service (contract) until after I had provided my payment info, I wasted several hours of my time. Had I had the chance to read the terms at the outset, I would have known that the terms were not acceptable to me.
