Action Pest Control

We live in the country and they do a great job of keeping unwanted bugs & insects out of our home. About once/yr we have an invasion of ants, and they are always quick to respond.

They have been wonderful. We used them to handle a carpenter ant issue, and they have cleaned up some other problems for us as well. They treated all of the outside, and have done some work.They are extremely knowledgeable, and explain everything. They always say to just call if we have any questions or see anything. They will be happy to come out any time during the year if we notice something.

Somehow in our travels this summer. We came home with bed bugs. After freaking out, we got onto Angie's List to find an exterminator. Action Pest Control had a representative out quickly to look over the problem. Their price was competitive with other companies (slightly lower than our second choice). Because they are so busy with bed bugs all over town, it was about a week before they could treat the house. They arrived on time on the day of the heat treatment. The person who did the treatment was professional, courteous, and helpful. About three weeks later, they called to have a canine come in and see if there were any bed bugs left. (NONE - YEAH!!) This person also was professional, courteous, and helpful. They also offer a one year guarantee for the treatment which we took. Finally, much to my surprise, they did not bill me until after the dog and come through and smell for bed bugs. I was shocked that they carried the bill without wanting payment for so long.

The person that came to the house was very good, and did a great job. I would give him high grades. He was very knowledgeable and explained what he did well. However, the contact person I spoke with was very pushy. He called me and was pretty demanding about payment the day after the work was done. He made threatening comments when he called. I was just waiting for the final statement to pay. My grades are based on my interaction with him.

They came right out and helped me get rid of them. I really appreciate them. They’re very helpful and responsive. Jerry is the person assigned to me and he is very thoughtful and very kind. They try to use as much environmentally friendly products as possible.

First, the gentleman that came to give us the quote was very helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. The reason we didn't hire this service provider is their price and their business administration practices. They were requiring us to sign a 1- year noncancellable contract. For the 1-year contract, the cost was $643 -- and the first treatment was $179. (We didn't have a problem with the $179 but felt the $643 was too high.) Aside from the $643 total cost, we also didn't like having to sign a contract -- for pest control. (Our -- routine -- lawn care service doesn't even require us to sign a contract.) Because we were impressed with their pest control plan, we were willing to look beyond both of those issues. However, we then learned that they wanted the $179 initial treatment payment up front -- before they completed the service. This is not about money; we have the money to pay the bill -- up front. To pay 100% up front for some chemicals -- that have little cost -- is ridiculous. As stated earlier, we would have been willing to overlook any one of these issues, maybe even two. But, with three strikes, we decided this service provider was not for us. (I will say that when I expressed concern that I didn't like this business practice, the "salesman" was willing to "work with us." Since it wasn't about the money -- but about the business practice -- it didn't matter.) Most service providers we hire require 1/2 up front if they have to purchase supplies (and the balance upon completion), and we are fine with that. (We built our own home -- and not with the one of the larger home builders. Our builder didn't even require payments up front. We paid in stages, after each build stage was completed.) We have hired a pest control company, also with excellent reviews on Angie's List. Their price is cheaper to begin with; there are no service contracts, and we will pay for the service when it is performed. If we need additional treatments, we are happy to pay for those. It also didn't make sense that we would pay for treatments through the winter when the ground is typically frozen and pests are typically inactive.

Professional, thorough, and above all knowledgeable.

Initial service was punctual and prompt. Scheduling the K9 inspection took a little bit of work and the initial appointment was cancelled. The actual inspection was thorough and left me with peace of mind.

Overall I was please with the treatment that they performed. I did not see any bugs for about 6 months. I think that they were a tad overwhelmed with the amount of interest in their BIG DEAL special. I have them scheduled to come out tomorrow to do the second treatment.

They were knowledgeable and thorough.

We had been told about our crawl space being in need of a cleaning and refurbishing 3 years ago but any estimate we received seemed unreasonable and didn't contain all the work Action Pest Control included. They were knowledgeable about our needs and were able to meet them in a timely, efficient fashion. The gentlemen who gave us the estimate came by to check on the work and the men doing the work kept us up to date on what they were doing. They were neat and orderly in what they did and the only time we noticed they were even there was when we heard some odd talking and at first thought the house was "haunted" and then remembered they were in the crawl space. It was pretty amusing, I answered back a few times before I remembered they were there. We were impressed with all the workers who came and helped but mainly with "Ian" who did most of the work. He was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He was kind enough to give us daily reports and kept the area clean and neat. They were thoughtful of both us and our neighbors.

Things went well, they had very good customer service. They were on time and did the job well as far as we can tell.

Our cat came in the house with a mouse. We were unable to catch it using a trap baited with peanut butter. I called Action Pest Control at 8:30AM the next day. Rian Stafford, the Managment Consultant, arrived at 10:AM as promised. He worked diligently using pest strips, and within 15 minutes captured the mouse within a closet. Problem solved. Rian was very courteous and professional. I would recommend Action Pest Control to anyone needing their services.

Jerry is very thorough in his services. Since beginning our services we have had no more ant or spider issues in or around our home.

They were very professional and new what they were doing. They were nice and upfront about costs.

Jerry is my service tech and he is very kind and knowledgable. I had a bad case of Springtails, and they have been able to eradicate most of them. I catch any bugs I see and show them to him when he comes, so he can figure out what they are. With their help, my house is almost entirely bug free. They do interior and exterior service with environmentally safe products, which I was pleased with.

I liked their salesperson more than the person who came down to my house. He was not quite as professional but he did what he was supposed to do and it worked. I wouldn’t have to use them again because it’s guaranteed.

The guy was very good and explained everything. He was prompt and did a good job.

It has been a good experience. The termite control was $1,500.

The overall experience was excellent. They were responsive, punctual, and professional. I would use this provider again.

I like their program for termite control, which is rolled into their service fee. They put out termite bait traps and maintain those so that if there is any evidence of termites. This program is similar to an insurance policy. It covers the cost of any treatments if or when termites become visible. It also would pay for any repairs necessary due to the termites. They are very good at coming out between visits, at no additional if we had any pest visits.

We have been using them for more than seven years. We are on a Triennial which I don’t think they offer anymore which is $105. They are always right there to help. If they have treated and if I still have problems with whatever they treated for, they come out sometimes the same day. Their response time is great. We have had different people over the years and they have always been very knowledgeable and very friendly. They explain what they are doing. We would recommend them to others. We would rate them highly and would continue to use them in the future.

They are professional and their guys are knowledgeable. We have problems with ants and we can call if there are problems between treatments. I like that they come back out for no additional charge. One year they kept coming out and spraying until they finally got rid of the ants. They stand behind their work and they aren’t trying to push too much.

Friendly, professional exterminator came to our house. Explained in detail everything he was going to do. Proceeded to work in a timely manner finishing in approximately 2 hours. Since then Action Pest Control has made regular visits to our home spraying for bugs and monitoring the rodent station. Our home is like a new home. We had horrible problems with wasps,bees, Japanese lady bugs, and this was INSIDE our home!! We no longer have the bug problems inside or outside our home. We can now enjoy our home. Action Pest Control will continue to monitor our home so that we can enjoy our home. I am very impressed with their service. We never thought we would get rid of the wasps and bees. I highly recommend their services. I forgot to mention we also had a horrible problem with flies year round and they are gone ( the wasps were year round too).

Devin came in and treated some of the inside of my home. They have a little powder that they put in the carpet and base molding that kills the insects. None of the chemicals became air borne, it just went where it was supposed to go. Outside they can use liquid or grandular. Devin is my tech and he is very personable. They come every other month unless I have a problem. They want to stay on top of it. They gave me a number to call anytime I have a problem. They did a good job of answering all of my questions kindly. I would highly rate them and recommend them to others.
