The toilet in our upstairs bathroom was making a weird echo noise after flushing and that usually means it's time to empty septic tank. We called Acme and a technician arrived in less than 24 hours. We saved a little money by exposing the tank ourselves and they had it emptied in less than a couple hours. The technician was very knowledgeable and talked to my husband about methods for keeping the septic tank clear between cleanings.

They did a good job. The employee I dealt with was excellent.

Around 10:30am, Don called me to see if they could stop by before noon. I told him that I was still at work and wanted to be there and that my appointment was between 3-5pm. He said that "they" didn't write that on the ticket (even though I booked the appointment with him). He seemed "irked" when I said that the morning wouldn't work and stated (my office records all calls so this is a direct quote): "Well we have a truck driving right down your street but I guess we'll see you this afternoon". Sorry, Don, but I had an appointment time and had meetings to attend. At 4:40pm, I was sitting in my driveway finishing a call with a customer and didn't answer my call-waiting. Don had left a message telling me that his tech was ready to come over to the house but that he wasn't going to send him until I called back. At 5:15, I finished my call and called ACME to find out where they were. Don answered and began to blame me and said that he sent his tech home and that I should have returned his call. Each time I tried to get a word in edgewise, I was interrupted or cut off with all of the blame being placed on me. I told Don that he NEVER told me that if he didn't actually speak to me that a tech wouldn't show up. He said that this was the way they worked. If so, tell the people you speak to. Don also told me that if the appointment was so important that I should have given him a second number to call. Had Don bothered to pay attention to my voicemail, it clearly states that if the call is urgent, to please call my office and request that they contact me. The voicemail then gives the number to call the office. Don then tells me that he is going to try to squeeze me in the next day but has other jobs that have come in after I called that will be placed in front of me. He stated that he would try to have someone there between 4-6pm but that there was no guarantee. I asked to speak to a manager. Don stated that a manager wasn't available and wouldn't be until the next day at 10am. I asked for the name of the person with whom I should speak. Don refused to give me a name and told me that I could just ask for "the manager." To make a long story short, I called another company after hanging up with Don. They took the time to ask questions, diagnosed the problem over the phone and then confirmed it 2 hours later when they showed up. I own a large company. Customer service is everything. I am left to wonder how I would have been treated by Don if I had used them and had a problem. If you're policy is to cancel the service call if no one answers the phone, then TELL people that. Don't blame them for your own short comings and don't tell someone that "it's not your septic system" and that you "probably have a pump in the yard you don't know about" when, in the end, it was the septic system.

They answered the phone on a Sunday, and came out the next day. It worked nicely. They were very familiar with the pump. It didn't take them long to find the problem. They were very pleasant and efficient.

The service man arrived promptly. He looked over the situation and explained what should be done and why in a manner that was easy to understand. He was courteous, informative and careful to make as little mess as possible. I would definitely recommend this service to others.

They gave me an estimate and did the work according to the estimate. They cleaned up after themselves and was on time.

They would not be able to pump my tank for a few days, but the work they did was great. They showed up on time.

The plumber arrived on time and did a professional job and was very respectful of my home. Even though he needed to increase the acces hole through the exterior wall into the crawlspace he bored through the brick and mortar very carefully and after installation of the new sill c*** you can't notice anything wrong with the brickwork. He gave me a price range in his quote for the work and having dealt with plumbers before I assumed the worst but when he was done he admitted that it wasn't that tough of a job and that the charge was at the very bottom of his price estimate. Honesty in plumbing. Whoda thunk?

I called for a routine cleaning/inspection. They came within half an hour. Job was done quickly and in a professional manner.

They had estimated a two-hour time span for the service person to arrive, but he called at the beginning of that time to say he was on his way. He was friendly, courteous, did the work in a timely manner and cleaned up after completion. We were very pleased with the overall experience.

They did this all in one afternoon, and they stayed until after 5 pm to make sure things were done in one day. They did an excellent job. They look for the best and the cheapest way to get things done, and they saved me over $3000.

They came within an hour on a Saturday. I had to pay a little extra, but they were on the ball and did a good job.

The plumber who came out to get the work done made a huge hole in my wall and it?s still there. He said that he would not be able to fix that. It ended out to be a major procedure which was actually supposed to be a simple one. He didn?t fix the main incoming line. He then replaced it like it was supposed to be and I ended up paying 1100 $. The hole is still there, as they don?t replace holes. I also asked him to repair around the sink for the amount that they had already charged. The sink was leaking from the intake valve and that needed to be replaced for which they charged about 100 $. I never had him before and I always used to ask for the previous guy, as he was good. I normally get only the previous guy who had done work for me before. I had never seen this plumber before and they apparently work on commission. So, if the bill amount is more, then they get more commission. I have used them exclusively for a long time and they have repaired many things for me. I will never use their services again just because of the plumber who came out to repair the sink. He used inferior and cheap material. He used rubber waterproof caulking for sink. It was dreadful, as it disintegrated immediately. They said that they would send the same guy out to fix the problem when I called the company, but I didn?t agree to have him back. They also gave coupons for 10 $ off and never mentioned about it when I paid the price.

Called Acme, arranged for them the come out in afternoon, they called when they were on their way. Gentelment arrived, looked over problem, cleaned out septic tank, gave helpful hints on work that can be done down the road. Left an estimate for future work, and gave me the bill for work done.

I have used them several times for different issues including unclogging drains, replacing the sewer lines going out of the septic tank. I have used them quite a bit over the years and I have always been satisfied with their service. They are predictable. I trust them. They do what I need and their cost is reasonable. They are punctual and very friendly.

They?ve been a good company. I will continue to use them in the future.

They contacted Kohler and got the correct parts for my 1962 original fixtures to correct the issue. The man gave me a price before he did the work and I appreciated that. I knew what was going to be involved.

First hour was OK; employee (smoker) arrived promptly. We monitored "first 90 minutes" rate and employee said for about 30 min that cable had run into something he couldn't get past. After 90 minutes, employee reported that tile sewer was broken, did not run water to assess drainage situation as result of work, wrote estimate for $2,100 to dig up and replace sewer and left. Within 12 hours, found water accum. on bathroom floor, called Rich on Sat a.m., said not sure it was result of sewer work but would advise. Within 48 hours, running load of wash caused major backup of water (base of toilet, etc). Called Acme late Monday afternoon 6-15, told another man their employee damaged sewer and failed to test. Proposed I would pay 50% of estimate, man indicated he would check with owner. Tuesday morning 6-16, no response, called Acme, called Rich who was extremely hostile and admitted they had damaged sewer "but using conventional means." He rudely rejected my offer of 50-50 cost sharing on the repair.

I called on a Monday morning. A truck was at my house that afternoon. The service tech was very nice and explained to me why my tank filled up so quickly since the last pump. We had alot of rain in our area and the water was staying in the tank and then eventually backing up to the house. He pumped the tank and let me know to go easy on the water for the next few days since we were still going to get more rain. I had no idea how the septic tank worked and he took the time to explain it all to me and answer any questions I had. I will be using the company in the future.

The representative was very nice. He told me how much to write my check for as soon as he lifted the lid to our septic and was able to look inside. Everything was done quickly and cleanly.
