Acme Plumbing Drain & Septic Svc

Since this was first time our tank had been pumped, we didn't know where the cover was. We have a lot of ground cover and plants, so the first attempt to locate it by probing the ground failed. Meanwhile, we tried to find it to save the $197 charge for that service, but no luck. I had to have the locator. The technician showed me the cool tool: a tiny camera snaking its way through the pipes. I was glad to see for myself. The cover was directly under a bush. The workers dug it up and some of the ivy. I recommend the homeowner dig his own plants if possible. It saves your plant and saves you a $35 digging fee. I should have been more assertive. I did replant the bush elsewhere. The sludge was very thick, so there was an added $50 charge because it takes longer. They had me run water from my taps to dilute. The work was completed, and the cover was marked with a stone. Ron was amiable. I would call them again and dig my own plants next time.

He did such a good job that I called his boss to tell him how good he was. He worked so hard and he even went and got a replacement pipe for me. The cost was reasonable and I was very happy with them. They were very nice and I liked them a lot. They have an on time guarantee, and they missed the appointment time, so they gave me a $50 check. I haven't had any problems with their work.

They were nice, friendly, and they told me the costs up front. They did a good job and I liked working with them.

I found them to be very honest. They came out on time and were very quick to get the job done. Their prices were pretty fair compared to other companies. I had a good overall experience with them and i would use them again.

We had a situation that required us to remove our counter tops very spur of the moment. I did not know if the counter top guys would remove the plumbing so I was trying to get a plumber to come late in the day (2 pm). I called Acme because their yellow pages ad said that their hours were 8 am - 8 pm. (my usual plumber counldn't do it) The guy showed up and wanted to charge me $400 to disconnect a garbage disposal, a soap dispenser, a spray hose, a faucet with a single handle and a water filter. I said I thought it was high and he said that it would take him at least 3 hours to do the job. I said forget it. The counter top guys ended up disconnecting everything and removed all the counter tops and were gone in an hour. When it came time to hook it all up again, I did it on my own (I'm a woman with no plumbing experience) and it took me about 1 1/2 hours. I think they were trying to take advantage of my urgent need.

We called at 7:30AM. Service person arrived at 8:00AM. Quality of work was excellent and responsiveness was great. Service person, Al, was courteous, professional, and very knowledgeable. Service cost was $150.00. We used a $10.00 off coupon from the yellow pages so cost was $140.00. Al gave us another $10.00 off coupon for future work. Work is warranted: if the clog occurs again within the next 30 days they will come out and clean it for free. Overall experience was excellent. We will definitely use Acme again for our plumbing needs.

Acme showed up as scheduled and pumped the septic tank quickly.

The technician was very friendly and helpful, and answered all of my questions. He tried very hard to explain the whole situation to me. He was on time, and did a great job.

I WILL SAY THAT THE INITIAL WORK LAST FALL PERFORMED BY ACME WAS THE REPLACEMENT OF BROKEN CLAY TILE SEWER LINE WITH NEW SEWER LINE AT THE SIDE OF MY HOME. HOWEVER, ACME LEFT THE HOMES PERIMETER DRAIN (WHICH DRAINED ALL GROUND WATER INTO THE SEWER LINE) DISCONNECTED PERMANENTLY. ACME DID NOT TELL ME ABOUT THIS, AND A FEW MONTHS LATER, AFTER MUCH RAIN, MY TRI - LEVEL HOME WAS PRETTY MUCH FLOATING ON WATER, AND THUS MY TROUBLES BEGAN. LATER I LEARNED THAT ACME SHOULD HAVE BEEN AT MY HOUSE THE FIRST DAY I CALLED THEM, WITH A PUMP TO KEEP THE WATER AT BAY UNTIL THE SUMP PUMP COULD BE INSTALLED. I UNDERSTAND IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE WHETHER A PIT IS AVAILABLE FOR A SUMP PUMP; A TYPE OF PUMP TO KEEP WATER FLUSHING AWAY CAN BE SET UP.

They could only schedule me in four days later and were going to charge a fee to come here. I contacted another company.

My neighbor uses Acme, so when a problem arose, we called them. They did a wonderful job. Good plumbers are hard to find, especially in a 1929 home. They were reasonable, efficient and very responsive.

The price above is just for the sump pump. They were very professional and punctual, and they did good work.

The problem for me was that ACME had installed this system only a little over 4 years ago. Ron told me that, if inspected, the system would receive a failing grade. I told him that I would be upset indeed if an inspector failed a system I had paid 7k to install only 4 years before (which I had). Ron told me that septic just cannot be guaranteed for any length of time, and I told him I thought that was a pretty good gig if one could get it! My company would fire me if my work product was questionable at any moment. I thought it was pretty nervy for the company who installed the failing system to claim ignorance and shrug their shoulders in an ''oh well sh*t happens'' attitude. (how appropriate here)

They left the house dirty. They didn't do bad work but I wasn't as satisfied as I felt I should have been. They didn't explain the work very well as well.

They went above and beyond, and we were very pleased.

I was charged by the job, but I felt the price was pretty high. Overall, the work was great; they showed up on time and got right on work. My only problem was the price, but I didn't have other estimates to compare. I would use them again if the price was right.

Nathan was on time, very polite, and helpful. He did some extra work. His attitude was good. I didn't get any other estimates, so I don't know if the price was reasonable. I am happy with the work that was done and the time it took to do it. I called on Thursday and the work was scheduled and completed on Saturday. That is great service. I would use this company again.

It took about a week to get out, but that didn't matter because I wasn't in a big hurry.

Very professional company that explained the utilities had to be marked, and a permit had to be obtained by city. They took care of that and left as tidy a job as they could, removing only one shrub and taking it away. Excavation did damage grass, but they had warned me it would, and it should be easy to repair. The hole was backfilled and that area will need some additional landscaping at my cost.

Preliminary visit to assess problem was on time and very professional. Recommended action needed. Performed necessary work on time. Was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. His recommended action solved the problem at a cost much lower than others who assessed the problem. We highly recommend this company to all.

$100 for 5 strips of caulk is mighty high priced! The caulking has not stood up well in the last few months
