Acme Plumbing Drain & Septic Svc

At first everything seemed ok, but then to get them to come back out to bring things up to code was like pulling teeth. When they did agree to properly bring things up to code based on review from the health inspector, they then tried to do things differently and in a poor manor the next day. I pick up debris all over the ground and they finally corrected everything the way it should've been done in the first place. It was not a good experience, and therefore, I wouldn't use them again or recommend them to others.

The plumber, was friendly and professional. He came in and heard the ugly story of our plumbing issue. Quickly figured out what was needed and gave us a fixed price for the work. He then had to clean the drain from the only available access, a drain under a sink in a small bathroom, pretty tight quarters. He got the drain cleaned out quickly and cleaned up everything. It was a very good experience and I will recommend to all my friends.

They were able to come the next day to clear the main drain to my 1930's home. It was backing up every time I used the washing machine. They came the next morning and were done within an hour. The technician was very personable and courteous and explained what needed to be done before completing the work. Would call them again.

Very well. First rep had to reschedule due to our interior trap and size of trap. The machine required 2 men to carry it down our stairs. Second rep was very knowledgeable. Only glitch was that they call ahead of time to make sure someone is home when a representative is coming. I was told rep would just come so didn't bother trying to hear the phone. Finally, the matter was cleared up and the rep finished the job.

I had a good experience with them and they were pleasant. As far as I know everything is fine.

Within 3 -4 hours we were back up in operation.

There was back-up from the septic into the house. Calling 3 different plumbers for pricing, Acme was the only one that would come on the same afternoon. They were able to get there quickly and the serviceman was knowledgeable and professional. They sure helped me out of a "messy" situation.

They are prompt, reliable, and fairly priced.

The plumber arrived promptly, was courteous and honest. I also got a quote for another job, he recommended that I not do this work. He changed the pipe quickly and gave me a coupon discount.

They did good work, and the man that came out was very informative and let me know what was going on with the work.

My wife and I had just returned from a 2 week trip in Japan to find that the main water line, the water meter, and the softener had all frozen solid while we were gone. The house had been without water for almost a week. The city replaced the water meter, and I was able to engage the bypass on the softener, but one of the pipes had a rupture. This pipe came out of a brass shutoff value and fit into another copper fitting. I attempted to replace it myself, but I couldn't get the solder to seal in the shutoff value. I called ACME plumbing and was told that there would be a $49 truck charge (understandable) and that the plumber would give me an estimate when he arrived. I said OK. The plumber arrived, listened to my story and looked up the charge in a book; $302.79! I was desperate to get the water turned on (hadn't had a shower in 2 days, toilets hadn't been flushed), so I agreed. I questioned him later and was told that the price was fair for the task. It took him 20 minutes.

They were excellent, honest, and professional. They were just wonderful. They installed a turn-out that allows access to the sewer system that allows them to snake the sewer, if needed. They gave me an estimate for a new line if I need one. They are not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. At the end of the job they had to wait for an inspector from the state. Acme plumbers are very prompt, are here when they say they will be here. They are so pleasant, knowledgeable, friendly, and work together well.

Gentleman came out the same day I called. He explained everything in detail about how the back up occurred, what to do to prevent it in the future, and what he did to correct it. He also re-explained everything to my husband (who was at work at the time) over the phone. I will use them from now on.

Came out same day I called. Called 20 minutes before they arrived. On time. They did a fantastic job! The technician helped me finish digging up the lid and didn't charge. Very nice guy!

Kitchen sink and basement bar sink share a discharge line that drains into a basement lift station. These drains wouldn't drain, and water from kitchen sink discharge backed up in basement bar sink. An attempt to clear the problem by removing the trap on the bar sink and running a plumbers snake into the drain line didn't work (The snake likely couldn't get past a tee, elbow, or the combination of the two). The trap was reconnected and the bar sink was partially filled with water. Then the trap on the kitchen sink was removed and the plumber's snake run down that line, and the clog was cleared, and the water in the bar sink drained. The whole process took about 35-40 minutes.

They were excellent. They explained everything they were doing and what they found. They allowed me to take photos of what they were doing so I could send it to my husband who has already relocated. They were very pleasant.

The Terralift process is rather dramatic as the machine used actually injects/blows a tremendous amount of air into the ground to clear clogs in the finger system. Part of the process also requires digging up the distribution box to allow a good clearing and draining of the clogs as they are cleaned up. It is not the kind of work that one does on their own. My hat is off to Ron and his crew.

ACME called and said they would be at my home in 30 minutes. ACME arrived about 10 minutes late. However, Ron, the service technician, explained they were caught in traffic. Ron took a look at the septic tank and explained that nothing needed to be done because the level was normal. Ron also explained to me the service record ACME had on the home before I purchased it. Ron was up front in explaining the tank did not need to be pumped because ACME had pumped it out for the previous owner last December. ACME only charged me a small service fee. I will use them for future maintenance because they were helpful in explaining the maintenance schedule I should keep and they did not charge me for services I did not need.

Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. They worked hard to do the least expensive/intrusive approach to our problems. When these were not successful, they continued to work with us to get the desired results.

The service man was very courteous and very careful to cover areas where he was working, and he put on shoe covers to not get anything on the carpet. He first gave me an estimate of the work, and after I signed off on it, he got right to work immediately. Did a very nice job removing a 30+ year old toilet and installed a top of the line power flush model. Was pleased with the final result.

Workers were on time, seemed to be knowledgeable and discovered cause of problem. Initially we were billed for the use of a backhoe, which was not to be used unless the distributor box or fingers were involved. Since the workers chose to use it for the simple digging up, to see the pipe at the end of the septic, we were refunded the charge for the backhoe.

The driver came out and was prompt. Cleaned out my septic tank. He told me that I had something leaking and it was filling the tank and could leak into the yard. So until I fix it, we turn off the toilet at the valve. The driver had extra space and cleaned up a big mud puddle in front of our house.
