Acme Plumbing Drain & Septic Svc

I think they did a good job considering what was involved. They were very professional and really knew what they were doing. The second man really did a good job and did a very good job of cleaning up everything and cleaning up after himself. I really appreciated that.

They did a great job and worked very hard to find the clog and unclog it. They are very personable, on time and I will continue to call on Acme.

Unfortunately, there were two drains that were 'pop-up' types that they said their equipment could not work on so we couldn't try those. They found one drain had collapsed, which is the likely cause of it clogging so nothing to do, but dig it up if I need that one to work again. Another drain they could not get beyond maybe 5 feet into as it either 'y'd off or collapsed. They were able to clean one drain that 'y'd off from two areas.

Called at noon, tech was here at 12:30. Very friendly and knowledgeable, fixed the clog promptly and sticked to his quote. I would call them again.

Called Acme at around 9:00 a.m. Their plumber, Dave, arrived here around 10:30 the same morning. He opened up the main drain outside which was very clogged up. He ran the snake down the drain (we only have a 3" opening), and determined we had tree roots causing the clog. Also he recommended we not let the grandkids flush the toilet wipes, even though they are supposed to be flushable, because it takes then a long time to decompose. He had us run the washing machine and let it drain (which is what started the original problem), and flush the toilets several times. To make sure all was working properly. He told me that if the problem persisted or returned within 6 months, we would probably need to put in a larger drain in order for them to get a larger snake down there. He also mentioned sometimes excavating is needed, but was very up front about how much that would cost. I decided to just wait and see what happens with the work he did today, but I will definitely call him again if we continue to have trouble. He was very nice and polite and knowledgeable. Hopefully I don't need to do additional work, but feel confident in them if I do.

The job went well, the company is good but we were not aware of how they would leave the yard. They said ahead of time they were not responsible about the yard and making it level. They did leave the yard unlevel but that is our mistake because they did tell us they were not responsible. We were so concerned with getting the sewer line taken care of we really didn't look into or care much about the yard being unlevel when they were down.

Bryce arrived right when scheduled. Very professional manners. Assessed my two issues, which I assumed to be one and the same. He explained that there were actually 3 simple problems that I could fix myself for very little cost with materials from the hardware store. My quote on the phone was $190+ and he explained that while he would be more than happy to do the services requested, they weren't necessary and wouldn't fix my problems. So honest. He didn't charge me a thing, nor did he treat me like a clueless housewife. I have found my new favorite plumber!!!

I would use them again, they are our go to people for septic purposes. The price was very reasonable.

With the high rains in area (Warren Twp) we experienced some flooding on the property. Our neighbor brought to our attention that he had witnessed water gurgitation in the area of our finger system with excess drainage into his yard. Acme was called and looked at situation. He has declared there is no sewage involved, but only too much water in area. It was at this time that we were made aware that the system does not carry a warranty. I find it hard to believe that a nearly $7000 system is not guaranteed, however if something breaks it may be covered. We were also told by gentleman (which stated he worked on the install) that the finger where the water is escaping is not buried as far down as the others (only about 6") and this is why the water floods the area. I thought all fingers were to be buried at equal depth. I am a bit unsure of the work at this point but will see how it plays out. I am middle of the road on the company in the meantime.

Acme had installed 5 years ago a very high quality sewer ejection pit pump called an E-1 for us to solve a long and complicated issue we had connecting to a sewer very far from our home. No problems at all since then. When we returned home from a vacation 2 nights ago we had some sewer back up into a downstairs bathroom. Although it appeared to be a simple drain clog, it had the possibility of having something to do with that system so I called and left a message for them at 11:00pm to call the next morning. At 7:30am a rep called and said they would get someone out as soon as their guys got in in about 15 minutes. 30 minutes later the same guy who did the install 5 years earlier was at my house. In about 5 degree weather he had to lift a very heavy cover out of the way, then undo some bolts to get into the E-1 system. He immediately figured out the issue was electrical, got it running within 5 minutes, then only charged me for the service call, no labor or time.

I enjoyed speaking with them but, their estimate on this job was just a little expensive. I would call them again for estimates.

The drain cleaning went well. No surprises; always a good thing. He was very pleasant, and explained what he was doing. Would use them again.

Excellent. The serviceman was very professional and did a very nice job of clean up. I liked that the company had office hours on Sunday and I could call for an appointment.

Repairman came out on time, was polite, but took a very long time to do the work---over an hour. I have this done at least one time per year, and it usually takes 1/2 that amount of time. After he left, I noticed it was leaking water from the plug and that he had mashed up the edges and called the company back. I mentioned to the dispatcher that he had acted a little strange, eyes looked glassy and he sort of stared. He got immediately angry, and said his men were drug tested, he never had problems with them and he'd sent this man out who was fine. I requested a different repairman to fix the problem, and he angrily said, "well, he IS the one who will come back out again to fix it." I said I didn't want to have an argument, but I wanted a different person. He calmed down, sent someone else who was very nice and quickly fixed the problem. Unpleasant customer service, won't use them again.

Punctual, responsive, very satisfied.

Work was excellent on time through and the cost was reasonable. I would recommend them to anybody.

I called Acme in the morning. I told them because we had other toilets in the house it wasn't an emergency. They still were able to get someone scheduled same day. They said the tech would come after 5 pm. David Marks, Acme's plumber, arrived at 5:40 pm. He was done before 5:45 pm (and 4 minutes of that was spent looking at the toilet and getting the equipment he needed). He took less than a minute to get the solo cup out.

We had to have this done on Saturday and they were the only ones we could get to come out. They came with their snake which didn't work and they had to saw into the basement wall. The guy thought all the perimeter pipes needed replaced. They told us not to use anything until they came to replace all the perimeter pipes. We had a hole in our basement and a giant mess that we didn't need. We had previously used them to service the septic tank, which didn't work and they said we could apply the charge toward a new tank, and coincidently enough when we had the work done they had raised the price exactly the cost of the previous repair. I feel like their costs are absorbent. They were right on the diagnosis, but another company will do it for a fraction of the cost.

Company was on time, and charged what they estimated over the phone. Corey (Acme's technician) was professional and helpful in his recommendations. Cleaned up when done.

I called around 8:30 am and they said they could have someone to look at my problem at 9:00 am. They were there right on time. I explained that our bath tubs backed up with water from the drain and our toilets would overflow. So in the whole house water was not draining. Based on the description of the problem, he determined that the main line was probably clogged. The employee went to the outside access point and began to clean the pipes. After about 30 minutes he had cleaned the pipes, which were blocked by roots from a near by tree. He cleaned up and was on his way by 9:45 am. They were very responsive and quick. Very satisfied with whole experience.

I chose Acme to do the work. They came out, did the work. They made a lot of marks on my driveway and sidewalk with the machines. They broke a small branch off my tree. These were minor problems as I was cleaning up sewer water in my home. Downstairs bath has never flushed properly. It's a new water saving toilet. The plumber thought (didn't guarantee) it wasn't the new toilet, but something in the sewer line. I went on vacation, gone for some part of the summer and now this mound of dirt is still in the front yard where they have dug down to the pipes. I called some companies to fix. Under the new slab that Acme replaced in the sidewalk there are two big holes. When I called the man to repair the yard, he told me to be sure to tell the people that repaired the pipe to fill in those holes with dirt. I called Acme and they told me that the work was almost a year ago and to just have the people that repair the yard to fill the holes and that it was not their responsibility.

After waiting all day for a competitor that never showed or did not call, I called Acme. They had a rep. out first thing the next day, as promised. David was very professional. Cleaned up after himself. He could have charged me much more, as I thought the main drain was clogged. David checked and said it did not need the work done. Very honest. I was impressed. I did purchase the chemicals to keep the drains flowing freely.

They cleaned up when they were finished, and were very informative, which I greatly appreciated.

I think they're wonderful and they come right away. They have actually come out on Thanksgiving morning to fix my disposal!

They are our regular plumber. I recommend them.
