Overall, the experience was good. The price was a deal. He worked continually, and was very efficient. He was nice to work with and got the job done correctly. He cleaned up afterwards. I'm happy with his services overall.

We bought a home with a central HUB that connected cable tv, telephone, and security. It was really a mess. They came and provided a competitive estimate for the work and were able to get our phones back, as well as organize and label the mass of cords and cables going into the HUB box.

The reason I gave a B on quality is only because there was one issue where some wires in the attic were removed from the box (like someone accidentally stepped on the wires and pulled them from the block ) that caused my phones not to function. I called Jim and he came back a little bit later and fixed it all up. I was fine with that, messing around in the attic, accidents happen. The only thing that did kind of bother me was they drilled holes in the ceiling so that they would insert rods for the people in the attic to know where to run the wires, good idea, but they didn't fill the holes when they left so I had to patch a few small holes in the ceiling. Not a huge issue, but if you put holes in the house that are supposed to be temporary, I'd have rather they filled them before they left. They are small and I didn't notice them until after they left or I would have said something. Overall, I'd have them back for sure if I needed more of the services they provide. Easy to talk to, very easy going group. Good folks.

It went great. We have 2 lines coming in to our home, one of which is used for both phone and fax. Jim came out and recommended a type of portable phone which had 2 lines and no answering machine so that we could use the phones and know when we had voice mail messages waiting for us. That evening, I went out and bought the recommended phones. The next day Mr. (Jim) Walters came out with an assistant and they straightened out which line rang in which room and also got the fax machine working on the correct line. They were both very business-like and pleasant and got the job done quickly and efficiently.

Repair man came next day. He found a short circuit, repaired it and my phone is working again. Tel-a-marketers are so happy now they can call me again.

Very well. It took parts of two days to complete.

Quality of work was very good. They were very professional and punctual. I would recommend them.

A Retired Telephone Man was prompt and did exactly what he siaid he was going to do. He did not overcharge and was courteous.

Jim was very thorough. He worked with Uverse to make sure the connection was up and working in the new room. He stayed until it was all completed and the Uverse was working well in all the rooms in the house.

Excellent. The fee was lower than I expected for the number of man hours that were spent. The guys are very professional and pleasant.

What a terrific service provider! I suddenly realized I had no dial tone on any of my phones, checked the outside AT&T network connection, and realized I had a problem "on my side of the box." Looked up phone repair on Angie's List and found "a retired telephone man," whom I knew was the right provider since I worked for "the telephone company" many years ago myself. Jim answered the call immediately, listened to my explanation, assured me that he could help, asked me to "text" my address, and said he would be here in about 90 minutes. And he was! Wow. Diagnosed, explained, and fixed the problem and was gone in less than 45 minutes. I would heartily recommend Jim to anyone having "inside" wiring problems, as he is a faster and less expensive solution than dealing with you-know-who! :-)

Jim Walters is the best! He promptly came to assess the telephone wiring in a vacant property, to make certain telephones would be work when connected. He updated all the existing phone jacks then found a problem with the wiring in one end of the property. He returned a few days later and repaired the problem by installing a new drop from the pole to the property. He's definitely my "go-to man" from now on.

If I could give an A+ on price and A+ on professionalism, I would. Jim came with a helper (Bruce). They ended up spending 3 1/4 hours to get the work done, and charged only $150. And I believe the quality of the work is every bit as good as anyone else I could have hired. I was very happy, and may well contact Jim when I next need electrical work. He was very honest saying that simple work (like changing fixtures, switches) could be done by Bruce, that running new electrical wiring (e.g. installing new lights where none are now) would require a licenses electrician, and he indicated he would be happy to refer me to someone he trusts.

It went great. He was very responsive and came the next morning to do the hook up.

He did excellent work at a reasonable price.

We ran into a few challenges during the job, but he solidered on including taking a trip to Fry's Electronics to research some options for me. He did not charge for this addtional information gathering work. In the end we decided to activate only one line which has worked out just fine.

He came out pretty quickly and we were satisfied with the work.

The cost was very reasonable and less than the telephone company would have charged. He was very available and it was sort of a difficult job to put the thing in a particular wall and he got it done. He was very friendly and neat. He came back another time and figured out how to get a phone working and didn’t charge me anything.

It went great, Jim and Bob are great guys and we enjoyed meeting them.

Our phone company had been out to fix the problem about 6 or 8 times but they couldn’t figure it out. We got A Retired Telephone Man to come out and inspect our system, and he was able to fix the problem. We were happy with the service. I would rate him highly and would use him in the future, if necessary.

I would say excellent service. The job took over two hours start to finish. I believe he was very reasonable as to have a telephone company or another company I call listed on Angies List. If someone wants repair or install extra telephone outlets, I would recomend this service

He was very efficient, knowledgeable and treated the customer with respect. I would hire him again.

Two people came out to do the job and they were very efficient. We had several problems with our connections, but everything worked very well after they came out.

Went so well-I was thrilled to have a working line in my office. My puppy loved Jim! Jim is a wonderful honest man who knows his business...I will be handing out his card to family and friends. Thanks Jim!
