A & D Hydra Clean Inc

The project was lengthy because of the scope of the work. Someone was working at my house nearly every day for about 4 months. A and D handled the tear out, drying of surfaces, mold eradication, and reinstall of cabinets themselves. They used excellent subcontractors for some of the other work: electrical, plumbing, hardwood floors, and granite countertops. Communication was excellent! When scheduling workers my needs were always considered. All work was explained in detail and in terms I understood. Workers were very knowledgeable and were always willing and able to answer all my questions. They appeared to understand the horror and frustration a homeowner experiences when watching their much loved home being torn apart. Conversation was always positive, calm and reassuring. All workers were a pleasure to work with. Their workmanship was excellent. In addition, they were efficient, punctual, and respectful of both me and my home. When taking materials in and out of the house much care was take to protect flooring with mats and covers on worker's shoes. Plastic barriers and exhaust fans were used to prevent dust from contaminating cabinets, appliances, and other rooms of the home. The work was well planned and executed. All repair work was done within the financial parameters of the insurance policy. I personally paid for some additional work (upgrades) outside of the original repair project. Their prices for the additional work were competitive and fair, in my opinion. I couldn't be more pleased with this company! I would definitely use them again and have referred them to others several times.

Our basement flooded after a lightning strike. There was a lot of flooding the area, but they were at the house with in hours. They did a great job with clean up and keeping us informed. The offered us options of salvaging some of the wood work and not just throwing it away. Their team was professional and prompt. Hopefully we will not need them in the future but if our luck goes bad again we would definitely call them.

Very responsive, very professional. We originally had a plumber come out and recommended that we call these guys. They were great. Very good communication and excellent workmanship.

The job went great. A&D got to my house in just a couple hours after my call. I was so impressed when Eric came out to my house to survey the damage. He was completely professional and answered all of my questions. He was honest and trustworthy and gave me 100% confidence in him. Eric gave me everything I needed to feel comfortable. His presence was key in keeping me calm in the mess I was dealing with. Once he surveyed the damage, he video taped and took pictures of everything and had others come to help move everything to the garage. He was careful to lay out plastic on the floor of the garage as they carefully separated wet vs. dry things and relocated them. He removed the baseboards, checked the drywall for wetness and tried cleaning the carpet the best he could. He then shared with me that there was a lot of water and that he didn't know if it could ever be as clean as it was before. He also showed me how it had flooded once before, because I did not know that the flooding had been an existing issue. Eric continued to help me through the claims process and once we got the go ahead to remove the carpet, he and his team ripped it up and hauled it off. Then, they started sanitizing the floors. The process took several hours with several people. I felt more than comfortable to have everyone there working. The professionalism of this company was top notch. I wouldn't want anyone else to help. I trusted them completely. Working with A&D was fantastic. I was so impressed and happy to have them assist us in this chore. I am grateful for all they did to clean it up and get us back to normal. Their pricing was a bit high to me, but for all they did, I'm sure it was fair. To get the professionalism and the trustworthiness of A&D, it was worth it to pay a little more.

This company is top notch. They responded to our Saturday morning call within about an hour. Pulled up carpet, removed damaged pad, pulled off necessary baseboards and set up system of fans to dry out the basement. Someone came to check on the progress every day until we were completely dried out. A & D then coordinated all the reconstruction...new carpet pad, cleaning and re-stretching of carpet, replacement of baseboards, painting touch up. Every person we had contact with during this process was professional, kind, courteous, helpful and respectful. All work was completed in a timely manner and they handled all the necessary dealings with our insurance company. Have used A & D previously for carpet cleaning and they do an outstanding job with that as well.

Absolutely amazing! From a price perspective, they were in line with one other bid ($6,500). They were very punctual and courteous. We think the job was more than they thought it would be. It took extra days and more people. But they only charged us the original estimate. They worked closely with Steve Ambro at AP inspections. Steve stated the level of work that needed to be performed, and A&D followed through. After A&D said they were done, Steve came back to ensure that was the case. All is done and it is super clean. I cannot thank them enough. Although, I hope we don't have any issues again, I would definitely call them.

Overall, this is an excellent firm. They were available to come out to my home the very day our basement flooded; I called at 8 am and they were in my home by 1030 am. They immediately diagnosed the problem, provided an itemized estimate and summoned a plumber to aid them in their repair. They remained in contact daily while my floor was drying and even had an employee come to my home on the weekend to assess the drying process so I wouldn't be charged for more time with the dryers than absolutely necessary. They were friendly, punctual and honest. They provided a discount without me even requesting one. They volunteered to produce extra documentation for a home owner's insurance claim if I needed. I would use this firm again in the future without hesitation.

We had a flood down there a couple years ago and the carpet was ruined, the baseboard was ruined. They had to replace sections of the wall. They had to replace cabinets in the bathroom. It was a major project. They did fine, it was excellent. I'll use them again, I hope I don't have to, but I'd use them again. If anyone asks I'd recommend them. They were right on time all the days.

We hired A&D Hydra Clean based upon their amazing reviews in Angie's List, and they EXCEEDED our expectations in every way. They were timely throughout from start to finish. Whether it was in returning calls, showing up for work and appointments, or finishing when they estimated they would, they were punctual. They were knowledgeable! I can't rave enough about our project manager (Eric) and plumber (Ron). I felt like their attention to detail and craftsmanship would make my grandfather proud (a perfectionist who doesn't believe a job is worth doing if not done right). The entire team from the account manager, receptionist, painters, plaster workers, etc. did beautiful work. They were all so polite, friendly, helpful and passionate about their craft. With our house being so old, there were many things that needed upgraded. Not only is our renovated bathroom everything aesthetically that I'd hoped, I can sleep better at night knowing that our plumbing and electrical is finally up to code! A&D Hydra Clean is the only company I will ever call to do any type of restoration or renovation on our home.

I cannot say enough good things about A&D. They are WONDERFUL. I called them at 2:00 AM on a Sunday, spoke to a gentleman who said he'd get a crew together and call me back at 7:00 AM. He called as promised and he and a couple other guys, including the owner, came to the house to assess the damage and begin drying out. This was a several month project and A&D was very responsive and helpful at every step of the way. Many of their workers were actual employees, but some were contractors. The contractors they used were great. No problems there either. I highly recommend A&D.

Throughout the entire process, A&D was the backbone of our repair project. They arrived on-demand to troubleshoot the issue with a recommended plumber. They performed mold mitigation and emergency water damage solutions. They maintained contact with me as the homeowner throughout, and gave realistic estimates and expectations. Once completed, we ended up with a newly finished laundry room and half bath. A&D truly turned a negative into a positive for our home.

It was wonderful and we have used them twice now. The workers are all very professional. The scheduling was great and it worked out. They came within a good time period.

I am not sure where to begin. We suffered considerable water damage to our home involving hardwood floors and collapsed ceilings below from a ruptured water connection while we were visiting our son in Baltimore for Christmas. We called them on our way home. Whenwe got here at 4 pm Saturday, December 27th, the day we called , they had 7 trucks and a number of people drying us out under the direction of Eric Mertz, Your crew did a fantastic job. With the concurrence of my insurance adjuster, I left everything regarding restoration up to A & D. Their performance was outstanding. Their crews always showed up on time, calling when they were on their way, were courteous and well trained, neat and wearing A&D shirts. It was like each one had a specialty but all did what was needed when it was needed. Their dry wall crew and the painting crew are artists. The carpet cleaner the most knowledgeable I've met. They even have someone trained in fabric cleaning. The subcontractors used for the hardwood floor and plumbing were also good as I knew they would be to work for A & D. And everyone?s attitude was pleasant and cheerful, even when answering all my questions and concerns. I can?t praise the company enough and would highly recommend them not only for water extraction but alsofor restoration services.

They were courteous, on time and super efficient. It is unfortunate that I only deal with them when there is a mess!; but I wish every provider were like them. Very good experience, overall. They dealt with the insurance company the right way and went the extra mile to make my life easy while the job was being done.

A&D Water Mitigation: We were referred to A& D Services by the State Farm Insurance man who initially came out to verify our claim. A& D came quickly, on the same day as the water damage. There was a main man: Steve who initially came to our home and made an effort to be personable. The main guy returned to our home repeatedly and oversaw the work. He eventually came with a crew, who were polite, not too personable,very accommodating/responsive, and respectful. Our household was not overwhelmed by the presence of strangers. The work was performed in a timely fashion. A & D accommodated our availability and schedule. We preferred to be on the premises when the work was done vs install a lock box. Trash was carried away. A& D kept us informed about how they were planning to proceed (before doing so). A&D asked us our preferences and answered any questions that we had, as we worked with the insurance company. They followed through and honored our preferences. A&D gave us the benefit of their experience with water damage and presented options on howso we might choose to proceed. I felt like we had eyes to navigate where we might chose to go. We requested itemized pricing and they did provide the info. When we challenged the cost of some items/services, A& D readily came & spoke with our insurance claims adjuster. They mediated in our behalf and an adjustment in cost was made which aligned us with the insurance pay off. We PAID them promptly for the Water Mitigation Services, even though the Bank (Mortgage holder) held back the insurance monies assigned to pay off A&D, until 95% of the restoration was completed. A& D Kitchen Restoration: We were going to also use A& D for the restoration work, however they seemed to be unwilling to actually get started with any further work on our house, after months of requesting them to do so. After we made the decision to UPDATE our kitchen facilities, rather than to return the kitchen to it's former 1989 glory, the previous Insurance reconciled A&D estimates were completely invalid. We were new to construction/remodeling cost & schedule time tables, however we would have appreciated a greater measure of communication and accountability, & overall responsiveness in regards to the restoration work & itemized (unit price) cost of updating our kitchen. We never got the itemized information in regards to the estimated cost that A&D proposed for restoration: therefore, we were unable to reach a cost of services agreement. This delayed our paying them the requested 50% of the monies for restoration work. It seemed to me that we were working in the dark: blindness. As I write this review, i now CLEARLY SEE that A&D's cost of services was firm (non-negotiable). We should have gotten another bid if we did not appreciate A&D pricing. While A&D was willing to reconcile their price differences with the insurance company estimate, they clearly were unwilling to justify their cost estimates with us, as clients. LIVE & LEARN! :-) Unfortunately, our patience was misplaced & their silence was not golden. In all fairness, A&D's Administrator did come out to our house, upon request, and meet to help us resolve insurance estimate issues. We were then able to recoup much, much more money towards the cost of replacing our cabinets. Yet, ultimately, we decided to contract the work out via the Interior Design Company's contacts. (11/2014) Stacy Thompson, Owner of Compass Design, had been referred to us by A&D. She has been a pleasure to work with. Upon having to basically engage an overseer & other laborers to complete our restorative kitchen work, we were not at the front of the line for the Holidays. So, finally, the first week of December we been slowly, but surely, making reasonable, steady progress. Perhaps, our kitchen will be completed just after the 2015, January 1, New Year. The other remodeling work that we proposed to have done, within our home, will be extended further into 2015. Actually the time delays in remodeling have served our interest well. I thank God that there is yet no snow on the ground! Also, I am thankful for a flexible Mary Kay work schedule and, too, for my husbands 10 week work cycle schedule, that permits him to be readily available to interact with Administrators/Laborers in regards to the remodeling work. It is also a good thing that our faith was real enough to endure the exasperation of those who presume that we should know better and therefore found no need to communicate, in a forthright manner. Remodeling could truly disrupt the sometimes fragile harmony of any home...but GOD! Merry Christmas, All! P.S. I very much believe that A&D would have done great work if we had honored the price that they quoted us, without issue. The only reason that I indicated that we would not hire them in the future is because we/i prefer to work with someone who is willing to communicate what he/she is unwilling to do or not do. Realizing that some people's temperament is direct and others are of an indirect temperament, we/i prefer to work with those who are more forthright. Even if we disagree about the matter, we very much appreciate knowing where the other person/Business stands, without having to speculate or surmise. This would have saved us much time and inconvenience. Who knows, my husband/i, as advocate, may have even seen fit to forego the challenging of A&D's cost of services if we had been told that the cost was non-negotiable, as a matter of our own personal convenience, rather than to go out and get another bid for the work. Identified a leak in a recently installed humidifier. A & D assessed the area, dried out the carpet/pad, removed baseboards, etc. They were very professional, providing a free detailed estimate prior to commencing any work. A & D then reconstructed the damaged baseboards and trim, put the carpet back down and painted the impacted areas. I was also appreciative of the home maintenance tips they provided.

The guys did a great job and were done in about one day. They were professional and efficient and did what they had promised.

Overall, they did an excellent job and the workers were wonderful. The costs are prohibitive with them but they are super trust-worthy. They were out within 45 minutes of calling. Our insurance company indicated their prices within reason.

We were extraordinarily impressed by the professionalism of the entire crew of A&D. Throughout the course of the work, every one we met was extremely knowledgeable, respectful, kind, and unbelievably tidy. We had absolute trust in the crew. Every person was punctual and we never had a delay or lag in the process. A&D was consistently on time and on budget. The work was very well done and our kitchen is absolutely beautiful as a result. We were very pleased with the final result, but even more pleased with the process. A&D made it a comfortable, stress-free experience. While they charge a bit more than some other companies for the work, it is certainly worth it. We will undoubtably use them again.

Everything went smoothly. They arrived on time and ready to go. They worked around painters in the house and did it with ease. We have used them before and they continue to impress on all fronts. Friendly, polite, hard working, the best....seriously. We understand that they are now doing remodeling and would use them in a heartbeat.

A & D Hydra Clean did an excellent job. We had $135,000 in damage. They handled the insurance details, dried out the damage in our home. They took kitchen, dining room, and basement down to the studs and then remodeled all of those areas. Their employees are all excellent. They are smart, honest, kind and easy to deal with in every respect. They communicated every detail to us even though we were in Naples, Florida for much of the remodel that was happening in Indianapolis. They sent us pictures, let us pick out the new products to replace the old. They accomplished each step in an efficient, timely manner. It was a major remodel, and we are thrilled with the results in every respect. They were thorough in cleaning the rest of the house that had accumulated dust as a result of the construction.

We had a flood in the kitchen and we contacted our insurance company and we got a recommendation for a contractor and they said they were good folks, and I think they were, and they sent someone out. The guy was really professional, gave his assessment and then he promptly disappeared and I never heard form him again. Which was kind of strange. We've got water damage and we needed to attend to it. So I went on Angie's List called Hydra Clean, they were very responsive, they came out promptly, they were good on working with our insurance company they advised us on various matters on how to go about doing a restoration and did excellent work. They really delivered. The only unresolved issue was that there some loose ends with the flooring contractor that they recommended. But that is not their fault. They were a little expensive but the quality work was worth it. The total restoration came in at about $16000.

A&D were contacted and they were on scene within 30 minutes. They had a crew of more than 10 people on scene with some serious water reveal and drying equipment. They worked until after 1 am to remove as much surface water as possible. The next day a larger crew arrived and commenced the serious mitigation. We used A&D and their subcontractors to restore our place as well. We were astonished at the professionalism and caring all the staff showed in helping us get our place back together. We had never been through something of this magnitude before and had heard horror stories.. In our case we could not have been treated better. In particular Steve S took great care of us and ensured all the details were attended to and to our satisfaction. He made us feel very comfortable and we were totally confident in him. Other A&D staff spent time with us including Kyle, Eric and Aaron ( the owner). We would highly recommend A&D to anyone who needs damage mitigation and restoration services

It went well. They responded within about an hour, continually checked on the process, had multiple contractors working and worked within our insurance payout.

They never came except when I insisted that they come to see what was supposed to be done with the damage on the wall. They came on time and they were punctual. They guy was okay and explained to me everything and he mentioned that they would send me a letter telling me about the different prices. They eventually came up with a price of 499 dollars that I had to sign and that they would put a ring around my property if I failed to sign. I refused to sign it and my lawyer advised me against it. I definitely would not recommend them because of all this back and forth I went with them. The person who came was professional but I don't know what was on his mind because I didn't feel comfortable that he was telling me the truth.
