Labor & material to install Trane XV95 2-stage variable speed furnace and 2-stage X118i air conditioning unit, including moving line set, obtaining town permit fees, and remove/reset of water heater

We met with Pat. She measured our living space and determined the furnace that came with the house (now over twenty-three years old) was over sized for the square footage it was servicing. Pat was very friendly and personable. She was knowledgeable and made several recommendations in furnace & air conditioning combinations that would fit our needs. I knew what I was interested in as far as features and it just so happened that they had a sale on media filtration systems when we decide to use Popa as our furnace installer. We opted for the higher end furnace & air conditioner, basically because we wanted best quality and highest efficiency. Pat was very thorough in her explanations and easily fielded questions posed to her by us. Her company also provided zero percent financing. We had the furnace replacement during the week but our daughter said the installers were very courteous and the whole job was finished in a little over 6 hours. The installers took the old furnace and air conditioner away and cleaned up after they left. When I returned home I was very pleased with the installation. All the plastic exhaust piping was run over head and out of the way. It was secured well to the floor joists and sealed around where it exited the house. Pat returned about a week later to see how we felt about the installation and to fill out the paperwork for rebates from Nipsco and also tax credits. Her company takes care of filling out all of the paperwork. All in all this was a very pleasant experience. Pat was great and it was a pleasure doing business with her. We will be using her company in the future for care and annual maintenance on our new installation. Also, our house has never been this warm with the thermostat set at 68 degrees. Even with the severe cold we have been having lately the house is cozy. Thanks Pat for all your help and assistance.

The estimator, Pat, arrived on time and was very easy to talk to. Pat spent considerable time, measuring, inquiring about the extent of insulation, how different areas of the house were used, comfort levels, etc. Pat then used this information to perform a load analysis and proposed certain models and features that seemed to fit my needs. I chose a different contractor for the installation but Popa came in second. Popa's price was in the same ball park but my decision was based on intangibles. I would consider Popa again but someone had to lose.

First, Pat Popa came over and performed a needs analysis of our home. She then recommended the appropriate size furnace and a/c unit and provided a complete estimate. The estimate included options for the efficiency level available as well as financing options and information on rebate programs from our local utility. We applied for financing and after we were approved, we scheduled the installation. All went well on the day of installation and the crew was very polite, punctual and professional. Pat then called to schedule a follow-up visit to make sure we were satisfied with their service and products and to go over warranty and rebate paperwork. We would definitely recommend Popa Heating & Cooling to our friends and neighbors.

I discovered water on the floor of the utility room, near the furnace, on Nov. 13. I could not tell where it originated. My humidifier had been turned off for the past 7-8 years. I started using towels to absorb the slow leakage of water; changing the towel every few hours. On the morning of Nov. 14 I called a different company recommended by our housing association, and left a message on their answering service. When I didn't get a response by noon, I used Angie's list to find Popa's Heating and Cooling. (I joined at that time.) The office person at Popa's made an appointment for the service man to arrive the morning of Nov. 15. He arrived mid-morning and found the source of the leak in a house attached to the humidifier. He replaced the leaking hose and asked me if I wanted him to re-activate the humidifier. After he assured me he could fix the initial problem that and caused me to shut it off, I agreed that it would be a good idea to have it functioning. He finished the repair. We had a chat about a common interest before he left. Shortly after he left I discovered my water in the bathroom and kitchen wasn't working. I called the Popa office, they contacted the repairmen and he returned immediately to turn the water back on. The repairman was very nice and his work was accomplished in a reasonable amount of time.

Popa is amazing, you will not be disappointed. Just go with them.

The company is a class company to deal with. Their professionalism is everything you would want from a company. They were very caring. They did their work very well. Buying a furnace or an air conditioner is a big investment. I've heard from many people that the unit is only as good as the installer. In other words, you can have the best unit money can buy but if it's installed improperly all bets are off. Don't take chances with another installer. Have it done by Popa Heating and Cooling and have it done right.

Popa workers came in exactly we thy said they would, finished the job in a day and a half. Cleaned up there mess. the system works great could not be happier. Already can tell a big difference in air quality of my house. They never tried to sell me anything i did not need. They measured every room and window to be sure i got the right equipment for my house. They even filled out the forms for me to mail to NIPSCO for my rebates on the furnace!

From the beginning estimate to the completion of the installation, I could not have had a more satisfactory experience. They were personable, neat, clean and friendly.

All personnel conner, phone personnel, installers were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.

They arrived promptly at 7:00 am and removed old furnace and air conditioner. They replaced carefully and neatly. They also informed me about leaky hot water heater which they replaced.

Office staff is good. Installers were on time and informed me about the trane insulating unit. Owner came by my house to make sure everything is good and to make sure I was happy.
