Description of Work: They were wonderful to deal with and the guys were super careful with everything. The busted their buts hauling everything into my new place on the 3rd floor of my building. The moved me out of my previous home in Crown Point, IN and into my new on in Chicago, IL. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them.

Description of Work: 3 rooms of furniture moved to have floors redone. Movers were very quick and professional. They offered suggestions on making the move easier and quicker. The entire experience was much better than I had expected. I would definitely use them again. |

+ 0 moreExcellent. Couldn't have gone better. Strong, hardworking personnel, they knew exactly how to work individually, and as a team, when necessary. Excellent supervision, although little supervision was necessary, as all were experienced and business like. We had three vehicles and only my wife and I to drive them. One of their personnel drove our third vehicle, with no extra charge. This was our first actual experience with Bill's Movers, however all of our neighbors had used them in the past and all rated them as excellent. I would use them again without even obtaining estimates from anyone else. Since they charge by the time of personnel and truck, with no added charges, I did not have an estimate of the total cost, as I estimated the time involved myself. Because they were so business like and professional, they did the job in less time than I anticipated, and therefore the cost was less.
Description of Work: We had a single residence move from Dyer, Indiana to Mishawaka, Indiana, a distance of approx. 95 miles. They gave a price for four personnel and a truck per hour charge. No additional charges for gas, tolls, or packing. Four wardrobe boxes were loaned for free and they were loaded from our closets and off loaded into our closets at our destination. They arrived on time, were very professional, and worked diligently from beginning to final unloading at our new home. Clothes did not have to be removed from the dressers. They wrapped all furniture and breakable items with heavy padding. Everything arrived in excellent condition. They placed everything where we instructed. In two instances we instructed them to place two heavy pieces of furniture in an upstairs room and soon thereafter requested them bring them downstairs, and later for one of them to go back upstairs. They did so without any complaint whatsoever and were good natured about it. I can't say enough about this group.

+ -1 moreOverall, I would highly recommend this company. They were very professional at all times and I felt very comfortable with them moving pieces of furniture that were of value to me. They stayed until the job was completed and for an additional $20/hour they even offered an extra individual's help to make the process go quicker as the job was quoted by the hour. Because I had larger objects (2-person objects), I agreed and for this reason the quote was slightly lower.
Description of Work: Moved about 30 miles from Illinois to Indiana with 2 days' notice to the company. They arrived at about 9 am and ended at about 4 pm. Everything was wrapped and very carefully moved. They hit traffic on the way to the new house and they touched base to inform us via cell. They were VERY patient with moving larger objects (i.e. TV and fireplace) in the correct place. Because the slider door is in the back of the house, they even had to move furniture down a snowy path/hill. Because of the weather, they laid down plastic to walk on so they didn't track any into the house.

+ -1 moreI spoke with Ryan who provided their hourly rate along with an estimate of the what the move would cost. The crew showed up on time on the date of my move and had my items loaded very quickly. (I had to run a quick errand prior to their arrival and everything was loaded within 30 minutes of their arrival. They confirmed where they were going along with the directions on how to get there. A quick field adjustment was made regarding unloading as there was not place to park in front of my apartment building. We moved the unloading to the alley behind my building and everything proceeded in a very orderly manner. There was only one issue and that was bringing in the last item my large sofa. It was thought they would have an easier time bringing it through the front of my apartment (please note I am on the second floor). When that didn't work (and the crew tried everything) they took the sofa back down and tried the back door. Lucky for me it worked.
Description of Work: Three man crew moved sofa, loveseat w/ sofa bed, chair, mattress, box-spring and head and foot boards along with luggage and a couple boxes from an existing home to a new apartment.

+ -1 moreThis is one great moving company. I heard horror stories about movers and we just did not have any problem with this company. They were a dream come true. They were prompt, affordable and reliable. Plus, they were great to deal with and communicate with. They did just what we wanted and nothing was broken or damaged. The only thing I can't remember is what it cost us to have them move our entire old house into our whole new house. I will say it was a good price that we felt good about paying though.
Description of Work: Bill's Movers moved me from Highland in this area to Vernon. I do not know how many miles the move was but I know it required one truck. They did not box our items for us; we did that ourselves.

+ -1 moreThis was a semi complicated move, as I had a total of four locations that I had them travel to. They were extremely punctual and very careful with my belongings. The price for the service reflects the total driving time and distances between the locations and the fact that they had to load and unload my stuff at each one. I was very satisfied with the professionalism of these men and recommend them highly.
Description of Work: They moved my complete home, including pieces like beds, tables, chairs, couches and all personal items to 4 different locations, spending a half of a day to complete the job. Travel distance was between 15 and 30 miles and no pre or post packing was done by them. Everything arrived safely to their destinations.

+ -1 moreTHEY ARE VERY OVER-PRICED FOR NO MORE THAN THEY HAD TO DO. WE ONLY HAD SEVEN MILES TO MOVE. THEY WERE ON TIME AND STAYED UNTIL EVERYTHING WAS UNLOADED.
Description of Work: ALL THEY HAD TO PACK WAS THE CLOTHES IN THE CLOSETS. THE REST OF HOUSEHOLD GOODS WERE IN MARKED BOXES WHICH THEY LOADED ALSO. UPON ARRIVAL AT THE NEW PLACE, THEY PUT THE BOXES IN THE CORRECT ROOMS.
