Purchase of first home. Successfully closed on the house we liked. I got Duncan's referral from Dave Ramsey show. I shortlisted Mike Duncan's Real Estate to start looking for our first home. J. Duncan visited our house on our schedule and explained the process clearly. I had done some reading about the purchase process using the Dummies book. Hence I had a general idea. I got a neat packet that had enough materials for reading and also a sample of the purchase agreement. My wife had some requirements regarding Vaasthu (Indian system of Architecture) and Feng Shui (Chinese system). Duncan listened to all of those and made sure that his shortlist for the showings included those houses. That was very encouraging. We looked for a couple of weekends and unexpectedly found the place we liked. Then onwards all the offer and counter offers were happening via email. We are pretty comfortable with technology and the Duncans are up to speed on that too. The Duncan's also provided references which we made good use of. During Inspection we found out that the thermal seals on most windows (Ryland builders) built around 2001 were broken. However the seller did not see that and did not replace that. The deal was about to fall through but then we decided to take the loss as we liked the place. J. Duncan negotiated pretty well with the Seller. Finally the closing was successfully done. The sellers were not so happy with J. Duncan though, because of his very professional approach. However, our broker was just doing his job by protecting our interest. Hence kudos to Mike Duncan's Real Estate for a job well done. I plan to invite J. Duncan to the house warming party and introduce him to my friends in case they are buying or selling. I also plan to enlist him as my Real Estate Broker when it is time to sell the house.

I found Duncan Real Estate on the radio, contacted them and he walked us through it step by step. Found us houses, had great insight and very punctual. Made me feel like I have bought a home before.

Contacted Mike to sell my Moms house when she moved in with my sister.He was very helpful with what we should and should not do to sell this house. It took us a little less than a year to actually decide to list our home & Mike was very patient and didn't pressure us. When we finally decided it was time to get down to business we call Mike and he snapped into action. The whole process was great, his marketing plan was effective & I don't believe the guy ever lets his phone get to far from him, it seems he always answers the phone. We worked with Mike during the listing process and actually viewed a few homes with him but we were out looking with his son Jarred when we found our perfect house. It seemed we worked with Jarred more during the purchase of our new home but both Mike & Jarred knew exactly what was going on with our transactions during the whole process and we could talk to either at anytime. The whole process of listing, selling, buying, and closing took around 90 days and that is a big testament to Mike Duncan Real Estate group.

We had always hoped that we would live in a house on some pretty property out in the country. After 18 years, we decided to stick the "for sale" sign in the yard and see what would happen. We contacted three real estate agents that were referred to us through a different referral service. After sitting down with each realtor, we knew that Mike Duncan would be our realtor. He not only did his market analysis like all realtors do, but he went into detail about how he would go about marketing our home and what his plan of attack would be. Because Mike doesn't have a realtor chain to fall back on, we felt like his determination was in part because it was HIS name on the line. We liked that. After putting the "for sale" sign in the yard, my husband and I didn't know what to expect in the current market. Mike and his team faithfully brought qualified people to look at our house. We never felt like we were showing our house for people who just wanted to be nosey. After only three weeks, we had two offers on our house. We quickly reached an agreement with one buyer. Mike and his team did all the work. When asked for his recommendations Mike offered sound advice. We then found ourselves looking for the land of our dreams. And boy did we have to hustle. Moving a family of eight is no small undertaking. Once again Mike's team came through. We found a house that is perfect for our family. Negotiations went smoothly. Mike had us in our new home before Christmas. We can't say enough about Mike, Jared, and Angie. Although we never intend to move again, we would highly recommend Mike Duncan Real Estate. What a blessing. We have the land of our dreams!

I had heard good things about Mike Duncan Real Estate Group from a next-door neighbor who, after checking out several other service providers, selected Duncan to sell his home. I asked for a meeting to discuss the job. Mike Duncan came on time and proceeded to tell me his plan for selling my house. I was impressed. He does not just put a sign in the front yard; he has a marketing plan. Mike performed a market analysis to determine the market value of the house. He recommended we price the house at market value but left the decision to us. Knowing myslef that the price determines the time it takes to move the house, I agreed to sell it at market value based on Mike's analysis. In less than 3 weeks, we had 3 offers on the house. While the first offers started at less than we were asking, the price went up as the 3 bidders competed against each other for the house. The house sold quickly and closing went completely smooth as Mike and his staff was completely prepared and had my wife and I prepared. Next time I sell, I will not consider using anyone else. Mike always anwered our calls at any hour. Even when I intended to just leave a voice message late at night, he answered my call. Hardest working group in the real estate business in my opinion. Mike and his team work day and night to sell your home.

We were new to the area and a co-worker recommended mike in our pursuit for a new home, unlike other past realtors he personally narrowed potential homes on the MLS and drove us his car to each one of them. We were impressed with his professionalism and integrity.

We were looking for two houses as close to each other as possible. Since this could not be accomplished, we bought land. We are building a house while the Duncans, continue helping us look for another one.

Mike, sold our old house in 7 days. The story is short. He sold a house for our neighbor, in our neighborhood, so we decided to ask him to try and sell our old house. It had been on the market for almost a year. We had listed it with 3 other realty companies, with no success. We listed it with Mike, had 1 or 2 showings (no open houses) and accepted a full price offer within 1 week. It was a very smooth process.

Jared was great! He listened to what we were looking for in a home, the general location we wanted to be in, and the price range we wanted to look in. The first meeting we spent time reviewing hundreds of properties creating a first past list of just over 100 possibilities. From there we further weeded down to a number of homes that we wanted to see. Jared mapped them out and set them up in a way that allowed us to not do a lot of back tracking. We gave him another list for a 2nd outing to which he added a couple of homes he thought we might like. I remember telling him he wasn't making the selection any easier! Never once did he try to push us into a more expensive property - which we had qualified for. He was a great extra set of eyes looking at the properties and noticing pros and cons. Once we decided on a property to make an offer on Jared helped analyze comparables and come up with a reasonable offer. Once we had a agreed upon contract Jared provided numerous service providers for us to possibly use for the home inspection, site survey, mortgage broker (actually that one was earlier in the process), insurance agents. He kept us up to date on the closing process and time and location. Jared attended the closing with us. Jared really was and is more than just a Real Estate agent. We were new to the area and he has been invaluable in helping us get to know the area and recommend other businesses. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for or selling a home.
