McCarty Mulch & Stone was excellent. The gal that took my phone order was friendly and helpful. The driver was terrific. He called before he left so I could come home and meet him and he was able to navigate our trick driveway and deposit the soil exactly where I wanted it. He brushed out the truck so that I got every speck of soil that I paid for and he was pleasant and helpful. The quality of the potting soil is superb. I will definitely order again from McCarty and I plan to make use of their drop-off wood/branch recycling.

Our house is tricky to find and they worked to get it right. They were on time, and the mulch looks great. Their price per yard was good enough to justify the extra price of traveling so far. Great job!

great experience. Driver actually called before dumping to make sure he wasn't blocking in any vehicles in garage as mulch pile blocked entire driveway.

Set a 10' x 20' cover on the driveway for the mulch to be dumped on. They did an excellent job keeping it on the cover. My wife stated delivery was around 13:00. Prompt, punctual, and excellent quality mulch. Easy ordering and scheduling of delivery.

My wife and I stopped at McCarty's Mulch and Stone on May 3rd to look at options for some backyard landscaping around our hot tub. We decided on flagstone and proceeded to the back of the lot to choose the individual rocks. A gentleman met us back there to assist with the stacking and weighing, and he had great suggestions on how to lay the pieces for a flagstone walkway. After we made our choices, we headed back into the office to complete our purchase of the flagstone and other rock and materials we needed for landscaping. The service person inside was very knowledgable and helpful, and she estimated just about the right amount of materials we needed. She also said they could do same-day delivery with their sister company, Greencycle, out of Danville. About an hour later, we arrived home and received a phone call from the delivery person. He was 10 minutes away and ready to drop off our first load. He was also friendly and courteous and took extra care not to damage our driveway. Once he dropped the first load, he was back within 30 minutes with the second load. I was very pleased with McCarty Mulch and Stone and will definitely use them again. This level of service and care for the customer is truly a breathe of fresh air.

The folks at McCarty did a fantastic job. The Mulch I got was by far the lowest in cost with the best quality as I compared it to other outfits that delivered mulch to your house. They were super responsive with a great attitude. The mulch I got is fantastic in quality. I'm super happy with the product and their service. I will be ordering from McCarty again for sure.

I've always been pleased overall with their services and products. Staff is usually friendly and professional. 2 area that I would like to see improvement in. First, developed a loyalty program to reward returning homeowners to further build loyalty to their business. A happy residentail customer will help further them by word of mouth. I have told numerous co-workers and friends about them and their service. Secondly, this year I noticed more rocks and plastic bits in my mulch vs previous years. (better quality control). price and quality I rated as "B".

Met first with Jan and Marsha to determine measurements and type of mulch. Very professional. Mulch I chose was fairly expensive, but looked amazing!

McCarty Mulch did a wonderful job. I meticulously measured the areas I wanted to fill with top soil and used a formula I found on google to determine cubic yard (a more complex computation than I thought!). I was still unsure if I was ordering too little or too much. I went to McCarty's office and they showed me what one cubic yard looks like in a pile. I was worried that when the product arrived, I would either be upset that it was too little product or overwhelmed that it was too much product. I concluded that I had the right idea of amount and they even double checked my math to make sure I figured it right. I ordered one cubic yard extra of top soil, just in case. I probably should have just ordered a half a cubic yard extra (which they suggested) to account for settling and for filling in extra spots in my lawn. However, with the help of my kids, I was able to use all of the top soil. The soil, which was pulverized, is very easy to work with and looked to be of good quality. The dyed black mulch is also very nice. This was my first time using bulk mulch and I liked using it over bag mulch...although there are some advantages to just dropping a bag of mulch in an area, slicing it open and flipping the contents into a flower bed. McCarty's also suggested that I lay down a tarp for the mulch since it could stain my driveway. I ended up laying down a tarp for both the mulch and the top soil and I found this to be convenient for wrestling my pile back into shape by just lifting the sides of the tarp and flinging the pile back into shape for easier shoveling. Final cleanup was also nice and enabled me to use all of the dirt. Delivery was very timely. Having these products delivered was great...a big improvement over trying to lift lots of bagged product at the store and then at home. Since I visited their office, I can say that McCarty Mulch has a very nice operation and facility...clean and orderly. Funny to use the word clean when we are talking dirt!

Call ! Ordered rock on 9-23! It was delivered same day. Very friendly had great prices.

They have a self-serve kind of setup so after we checked in at the office, we drove to the rock and boulder area with our trailer. An employee brought us a pallet and we explained that we wanted several kinds of products. There were other customers in the area as well and the employee kept checking back with us as we walked around and handpicked stepping stones, large boulders, and small decorative rocks. They weighed each pallet after we were done and loaded it into our trailer. We paid as we exited back at the main office. Smooth, efficient, and streamlined. We continue to use our local McCarty's for landscaping needs and mulch.

I picked McCarty because of their excellent Angie's List reviews. Sometimes that can give a company a lot to live up to. Thankfully, I was happily surprised - they're even better than I would have guessed! I first called Debbie on my lunch break, when I had very little time to talk and knew very little about what I was talking about. Without any precise measurements to help her, she was able to give me a fairly accurate guess as to how much dirt I would need to fill some new raised beds I had built. She also helped give a general price for how much it would cost to also deliver some badly-needed driveway gravel to help my thinning older driveway. I called back the next week on payday, and Jennifer McCarty herself did a great job over the phone clarifying the details and helping me choose the exact amount of both that I wanted. She even threw in a 10 dollars off coupon for me. She was able to arrange for a driver to deliver my order that same day. She gave additional advice to get a tarp over the dirt right away to avoid it getting rained on. There was a bit of a snag as my roommate was parked in the driveway, stopping their truck from getting in. The driver had to wait on me for a few minutes, as I was at work and couldn't call to get him to move the car for a little while. Despite this annoyance to him, he was still extremely professional and friendly over the phone, and got the delivery made quickly. I came home from work that day to find the dirt and the gravel both neatly piled waiting for me, just as I had asked. The bill was itemized and easy to read and understand. To top it off, I got a nice little card in the mail a few days later, saying "Thank you very mulch" and hoping for my repeat business. They definitely have earned it!

McCarty Mulch is always professional and dependable. Their products are high quality; I've ordered from them for a few years and will continue to do so. Their prices are competitive. They are all just super nice people!

It went smoothly as always. I ordered the mulch online and selected a desired delivery date and time. They brought the mulch on the desired date and time and dumped it in my requested location from the online order.

McCarty delivered 4 yards of Mulch as sceduled within 3 days of phone order. I used an Angies list coupon for discounted delivery. This is the second year I have used McCartys and have not had any issues. Always professional on the phone and punctual. I would use them again.

I spoke with Marsha in the morning (around 9-10am) and the delivery occurred by 1pm on the same day - they were very accommodating to the fact that I was home that day and normally would be working. Delivery of mulch was carefully dumped on a tarp I laid out for it and the stone was carefully dumped at the entrance to a dirt-floor pole barn in which it was to be spread. Before ordering, I did price mulch and stone at several different providers, and McCarty's prices were comparable to other reasonable estimates. The fact that they could deliver both materials in one load (and only charge one delivery fee) was the primary reason I chose them, but they were extremely friendly, detailed, and helpful both over the phone and in person during the delivery. I was very pleased with the service and would use them again.

I arrived home earlier than the planned delivery time, called the company to tell them, and within the hour they were delivering the material. The driver was one of the best we have ever had deliver from them. There wasn't a scrap of material left in the truck by the time he was finished. I have been using this company for years, and have no plans to ever change.

The process was excellent. The staff in the office took my order and gave me lots of advice and options. This is the first time I used this company and will use again. The driver of the truck was very courteous and placed the load in a tricky spot. The quality of the mulch and garden compost was superior to other places that I ordered this material. Plus, better costumer service. I used my Angie's discount. Plus, I received a very thoughtful note from Marcia for the McCarty Team thanking me for my service and checking to see if everything went well. All went well and I will be looking to use them again.
