I won't say how it went overall, as I long ago submitted a negative report on this company for their lack of response. Instead, I'll tell you how this project went once the company actually made it to our home. I requested Bob for my work because I'd had experience with him in the past. He came by (was it June?) to look at the project when he thought he had an opening coming up. He said he'd be able to do the project in August. He was right on. The estimate assumed he'd replace all the siding on the north wall so it would match, then use the older siding to piece in on the other three walls with little damage, he didn't need to go to all that trouble. Instead, when he cleaned the ugly green mildew off the siding, he saw that the difference in color between the 10-year-old siding and the new siding was negligible. So he meticulously cleaned our siding and replaced just the pieces he needed to. He was cheerful, positive, and very eager to please. I have high regard for this man.

Mitch was there right on time. He wrote up the quote on the spot, and it included an individual item breakdown, which I really liked. I felt he was very honest. I chose another company simply because my immediate neighbors had used them.

They did an excellent job on the roof I didn't care for the tone of voice the site foreman took with me about roofing boards but everyone else was polite.

Before moving to a condominium in Greenwood, current owners notified us of three loose shingles as a result of high winds. I contacted Godwin & Sons and told them of our problem. They said they could go take a look and call from the site with a cost to repair. They would also be able to send an invoice to our current address in Indianapolis since we were not living in the condominium yet. Within the week they called from the site and said they could fix the loose shingles for $175. They were instructed to do so.

This is one of the very best companies we have ever done business with. They do what say say they will do when they say they will do it. Their workmanship is very good and their price is fair. They did not ask for any money until their job was completed to our satisfaction.

I called them yesterday, and they were able to come out today (they are located in Greenwood and I live in Zionsville) and completed the job!

The salesman came and was clean and well kept. He reviewed our flat roof and stated that they weren't the best at installing EPDM (flat roof rubber membrane) and suggested another company. He also reviewed a small problem near our roof vents and suggested when we choose the company to replace the EPDM, we should ask them to replace the roof vents with a better product and he named the product. He suggested a few other things as well. He was kind, listened and was responsive.

I am very satisfied with this experience of working with Goodwin homes.

I called on Tuesday and I left a voice mail. When the lady in the office called back she sounded gruff on the phone and said that her boss would get back to us and come out for an estimate on Thursday. I called back to let the office know that I would be out and her boss would have to call after 2pm. It is now Saturday and I haven't had a call back yet.

Margie promptly returned my call. Mitch came out, looked at the roof and wrote an estimate. He willingly answeres my questions. They were hired the following Monday. Thursday, the forman called to let me know that they were leaving their trailer and wanted to make sure they were not going to inconvenience me in doing so. The crew arrived Friday at 8:15 AM. They cleaned up after themselves and me - even weeds that I had pulled, but not yet disposed of- leaving the site essentially cleaner than the found it. The forman communicated with me regarding the need to replace some lumber in the roof which would increase the cost slightly, which I appreciated. They were leaving as I arrived home at 3:30. Another crew member came within about 30 minutes to haul away the trailer. I had some questions about an area where there were no shingles and he explained the concept of the rubber roofing and therefore the lack of shingles.

They did a great job. It was a solid, satisfactory job. I have recommended them already.

Very punctual and came out when they said they would. He informed me that an attic fan was not necessary and that I only needed the insulation to be redone. He even explained why the attic fan was not needed.

Really seemed to take good care of. They were willing to work with us even during their busy seasons and we did not feel rushed.

Workers did a good job but I couldn't communicate with them directly because they only spoke Spanish.

They provided a roof over due to hail damage. One of the things that was a challenge was the language barrier because they didn't have a strong English speaking team lead.

I originally had another vendor that came highly recommended from Angie's List, but because of the hail storm they did not respond. I switched to Godwin because of their rating with Angie's List but also because of how responsive they were. As far as the work goes, I had a really great experience.

He said he was going to get back with me and he never did.

Roofing portion was outstanding. Shingles were delivered within two weeks of initial estimate, and tear off and re-roofing took place over two day period. Workers started early, worked hard, did an excellent job and never left a scrap of trash. Gutter job did not go so well, with crew showing up with no warning (not appreciated since we wanted to prevent our dog getting loose), had inadequate gutter supply, so didn't finish the job, and left an unbelievable amount of trash on the site; pieces of gutter, broken pieces being replaced, screws, everywhere and food wrappers in our driveway, a big pile of them! Gutter guard job went perfectly, just like the roof.

Great service! Patient with me and my slow insurance company. Crew had some trouble with English, but did good work. They came back twice to make sure all was ok.

They did a FANTASTIC job!! The crew had to remove the old roofing (and the snow that had fallen the previous day). It was a fast and professional job -- not to mention their exceptional attention to clean up!

I was pleased both times. I can't complain. Cost is per time.

Overall, they did a very good job, they were punctual, diligent, friendly, and responsive. They cleaned up extremely well. A week after the installation we had a wind storm that blew off about 6 shingles. They fixed it right away at no charge, and said that it takes a couple of days for the glue to hold.

Godwin did a nice job and was professional. They were timely with getting an estimate and timely with getting the work completed. Their price was comparable to other contractors. One of the appointments was forgotten by a representative. The appointment was rescheduled and they offered an appliance roof vent for free to make up for missing the first appointment. I would recommend them to someone else.

They did an adequate job. However, one month later we had a hail storm that damaged the new roof. I called Godwin to take a look at the roof and I never received a response back.

They started on time, but the job took 5 days, including Saturday and Sunday when we were told it would take 2 days at the most. They called in advance and asked if they could work on Saturday so that was not a problem, but we were expecting them to work on Sunday. The crew did make some mistakes, but management corrected the problems immediately.
