I had e-mailed several companies regarding estimated to re-attach siding and some shingles. Their estimator contacted me the next day and sent someone out to check out my house that week. Unfortunately, since the work was on the second floor, they did not have someone available to do the work. They called me promptly and let me know. I appreciated their constant contact.

They did a "GREAT" job, worked fast and were careful not to disturb roofing trim and gutters. When they arrived they unloaded their equipment and immediately started removing the old shingles. They worked continually for 4 hours, and only stopped when the job was done. They were courteous and polite and very careful not to disturb the flowers planted around the house. In other words...no complaints at all. They also gave us a 5% discount because we used Angie's List to find them.

I eventually called them on Fri 9/5; he said that he'd "been trying to call me all week but our phone was busy." Interesting, since I have received several calls on my answering machine from many other parties, including other roofers, and my caller ID did not show this company's number ever calling after Thurs 8/28. I asked for him to email the quote to me and he said his scanner was down. I asked for him to mail it to me and proceeded to give him my address, to which he replied, "Can you call me back and just leave it on my voice mail?" and then we hung up. I had to rush into an hour-long meeting, so afterward I was going to call to leave my address when I noticed I received a voice mail from him stating impatiently, "I've been waiting for your message..." I called his number and left my address. TO THIS DAY, I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM NOR RECEIVED ANY QUOTE FROM THIS COMPANY.

I was not pleased with this experience. With the heavy rains in June, I had a leak in my kitchen coming from one of the stack pipes. Since the roof is still under warranty I called and was told "With all the rain we've had, you can expect to have leaks." But they agreed to send someone out that afternoon which was a Monday. I was called later that afternoon and told no one could come that day, but someone could be there in the morning. The next morning I waited and no one showed up because apparently it was raining on the south side although it wasn't raining where I lived. Later I would learn that they thought I lived on the south side. I was very upset and told the gentleman I wanted a set appointment time and I needed someone to come out that week. We agreed to Thursday. Wednesday evening it rained and my roof leaked again. Thursday the gentleman called to confirm the appointment, but decided since I had another leak, to send an actual roofer to fix the problem. The poor guy they sent was clearly not prepared. He wasn't sure of the address and got lost on the other side of town. It was very late morning when he got there and unfortunately had to bring his children with him since he couldn't make other arrangements. I showed him where the problem was, but he didn't have a ladder or flashlight with him to get up into the attic. I got him my ladder and flashlight and he was able to find the problem in the stack pipe. He got on the roof and resealed the stack pipe. Fortunately, I haven't had any problems since.

They came out quickly, and were very efficient. Dough took into consideration using smaller nails on the screened porch roof, and also the bathroom vents. Overall a terrific job.

I wasn't very happy with them. I went up on my roof about five or six times and I didn't think the workers were well supervised. They had about eight workers up there with one supervisor and he wasn't always there. They went so fast I don't think they were doing what they should have been doing. I caught them several times doing things they weren't supposed to be doing. They didn't put roofing felt all the way on the entire roof. The last two and a half to three had no felt and only shingles. It was too late to fix the problem. They had covered seventy five percent of it when I had caught them. They said I really didn't need it. I said why did you charge me for it if I don't need it. I paid for a special felt on one section of roof and there was a hole in the center of it. I told them they had to fix that. The supervisor talked to one of the workers and I left. I wanted to see if they fixed it so I went up and it wasn't fixed. There was some bad wood up there and they replaced that. It didn't fit quite right and they forced it in. It caused one of my soffits to fall off the roof. The guy said we will just put some screws in there. I thought it was a bigger problem than that. It seemed I had to do too much supervision.

Godwin's responsiveness was great during a time that was so busy (do to all of the hail damage).

Doug came promptly to the house to look at the roof and give an estimate. He was very courteous and thoroughly inspected the roof on the house and garage. The work was done within a few days. They replaced at least 4 roof boards that were rotted and added roof vents that met the code. Within a couple of days, the crew came to replace the gutters. They cleaned up everything and overall did a fine job.

I can't compliment Godwin Homes enough on the work they did for me, especially Doug. Doug came out to my home several times to answer questions I had regarding the roof and installation. I decided to go with Godwin after receiving approximately 8 quotes, they were extremely competitive in price and more importantly they went above and beyond and did an excellent job. Doug was even able help me get an issue resolved with a previous siding installation that was with another company! I have been completely redoing my 70+ year old home for the last 2 years and Godwin Homes is easily the best that I have worked with. I recommend them to everyone.

They are very responsive. They are timely. They kept me informed throughout the process. They had a very good cleanup. They were very polite. They called the day before to make sure that I knew that they were coming. They kept me in the loop.

Overall they were professional and a lady came out to do an estimation and was great she was very nice and on time and they would use the service again.

They did excellent work! They even provided me with recommendations of work that they had done so I could check out their work before the process began. They cleaned up they area very well. I would recommend them to others!

It went really well. I got 3 estimates from the list. The wind came through and blew off some shingles. I called them and they tarped it until they could get there to replace the roof.

The owner came the day after I called (he came on crutches, so it wasn't easy for him!). He viewed the damage, gave me a verbal estimate, then returned an hour later with a written estimate. He told me the qualifications of the man doing the actual work. The following week, he called to schedule. The repairman showed up exactly on time, completed the work promptly and left no mess. I am pleased with the price, professionalism, courtesy and workmanship. I recommended Godwin Homes to my neighbor, whose home also sustained damage. I wish all companies conducted themselves with equal attention to the customers' needs!

Very well. Crew arrived on time & worked professionally & expeditiously. They didn't waste any time. Finished the job in one day.

It took them about two weeks to get to the work, but it was a swamped time for them because of the hail damage. They had a crew of 12 men that had the roof torn off before lunch time. They then had the roof put back on by 4:00 that afternoon and even had it all cleaned up. They had someone go around with a magnet afterwards to make sure there wasn't anything left, which there wasn't. I would use them again.

Bob Owen did the installation. They did a very good job.

We had no problems, everything was taken care of by Godwin. They did a great job handling the sub contractors.

They did very good work. I actually called them out again because I had thought about putting insulation in. They were able to provide me with a quote, however I later decided to not have it done because it was too complicated. However I would use them again for future work if needed.

I think they did a good job. I haven't had any leaks or problems.

The sales man was exceptional! It was done on a really hot day. We noticed shingles lifting, I called them back and they came out right away.

The representative and the crew leader were sincere, honest, clear to communicate with, and pleasant. They performed all work in one morning. There was one small leak, but they came and fixed it immediately. Clean up was wonderful. No nails/staples or debris were left in yard.

They subcontracted out to do the gutters. The roof has been done and it had some leaks but they did come back out and fix it. They never said they would be subcontracting out the gutter work. The roof has been paid for, the guttering has not. They started the gutters in January 07 and it is now September 07 and they are still not done. Price is for the roof only. I'd never use them again.

Had to rework job several times. Good final job.
