MUEGGE HEATING & COOLING

Our water had stopped. We assumed something was wrong with the well. When the technician came out he said he would check the pressure switch first because it was the easiest to fix and often goes out. He was right. He was a nice guy, very courteous. This was the first time using Meugge.

For an 90+ furnace, they were priced than some people. They came in, took the old furnace out, put the new furnace and air conditioner in. They've done it in about half a day. They got enough people here to do the job. They come twice a year. They take care of the furnace before the winter and the air conditioner in the spring. Their people were great.

They were on time and I felt like the price that they charged me for the work they did was fair.

I had a leak in my kitchen faucet. I called Muegge Plumbing, Heating and Electric, Inc. because I had used them before and was satisfied. They were able to come out that same day even though there was no emergency. The plumber went right to work on his arrival, determined the faucet could be repaired, worked efficiently, got the job done and left the work site in neat order. It is two months since this work was done and I have had no trouble with this repair.

Went very well. Worker was polite and communicative. He was focused and stayed on task. The only suggestion I have is that you make sure everything is up and out of the way because he didn't seem to care that he put his dirty tools on my rugs and splattered solder all over my pantry where the water heater is housed. Now I can't get it off the linoleum. Overall, though, the water heater is great, he added a shut off valve because he said we didn't have one, and the easy water system is working very nicely. He was a very pleasant fellow and I appreciated his knowledge and experience.

Punctual and explained what was being done. Very professional

We received our initial contact from the company about three weeks before the work started. We were told it would take approximately 2 weeks from start to finish to complete the work. Basically, they were on time. The workman and subcontractors were all polite, industrious, and professional. It was a little bit clumsy to have to take our bows across the house from the master bath. However, the redesigned, re-done master bath is worth the trouble.There were two small problems after the work was done. The first is that there was a leak in the crawl space from the new pipes they put in. As soon as I found it I gave them a call and they came out and fix it. Also, there is a crack in the floor which we were informed they had never seen before. We are working on getting that repaired, also. It seems to be taking a bit too long for my tastes, it's probably because they are either recasting or re-milling the floor to replace the one we have now.

I called on Monday for an appointment and got one for the next day. I was given a general time of 'afternoon'. They called before they arrived. After pulling out the refrigerator from the wall he determined that he would have to go back to the shop for the replacement valve. He returned quickly and then had to turn off the water from the water main outside. He worked quickly and we weren't without water for more than 15 minutes. They used a more sturdy valve as the replacement so we shouldn't have the new one fail.

Professional and reasonably priced.

They were very responsive and came back out with one day notice to get the pump replaced since we were moving in and would not have had heat otherwise. This is the first boiler system we've owned so I have no comparison on pricing, it seemed a little steep, but I really have no idea what the norm is for the services they preformed. The service was great though.

Our water heater was old and had broken down once before, so my husband and I decided to have it replaced. We had called several other plumbers for price and expected to pay about $1000. After talking to one of the owners, we were told it would be almost $200 less than the others for a top rated water heater. That was thrilling, believe me. The technician came right on time and worked as efficiently as he could...it takes quite a while to drain the thing, carry it out, bring in the new one, fill it and make sure it works. He did all of this in good time. It was a tiring and messy job, but he worked hard to make sure there was no water damage from leaking. We have used Muegge in the past and will continue to call them whenever we have a problem with anything they can repair or replace.

Was a pretty easy repair but they were on time, professional with reasonable rates so would use again.

Went well. Did what they promised when they promised for what they promised.

We spent a lot because they had to re-plumb our whole house. We have a family friend who recommended them to us. We recommended them to my parents; they were excellent. Their pricing was really reasonable because we did look up some other options. Their quality was excellent. They were always on time. We didn't have any problems and they would call right before they were going to come out to make sure that we were there. They were always there when they said they would be there and they were very professional.

I have used them for more then 30 years. I gave them a bad report once and they called me and made it right. I have them come out 2 times a year and were out about 6 weeks ago. The price is $75.00 each time and I will continue to use them.

After purchasing a new home, we had several items from the inspection that needed to be taken care of. I called Muegge's and asked them to come out and provide an estimate. They came out and discussed the job with us and completed the work over the next few weeks. They were quick, efficient and communicated everything to us. I was very happy with them. They made sure to not go over their estimate, sometimes even coming in lower than the estimate provided.I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for these services.

It went perfectly, He got here before 8AM and was done way before lunch.

There are 2 issues. We asked them out to replace a part on the humidifier that is part of our heating system. They came to look at it, charged us $125, but did not have the part to fix it. They said we would have to pay for the part and then pay to have them back again to fix it. We expected them to come with part in hand since we told them what was wrong.Secondly, we had them install a gas water heater last year. We are selling our home now and had an inspection. The gas line that they attached to the water heater is leaking where they welded it. Muegge will not back up their work on this. I am going to have another company come fix the work.

Quck response to service call. Quickly identified problem. Furnace working properly.

This was a major job that had to be done and we were not looking forward to it. Muegge did a fantastic job, ended up not be as big of an ordeal as we had expected. They came in and removed our old boiler and lines. Installed ductwork, new furnace and central air. They were on time, professional and courteous. They never left a mess behind. They answered all questions and took the time to make sure we did not have any concerns. They instructed us on how to use the new system and even checked back with us to see if everything was working well and if we had more questions. Estimate was complete and on the money with no hidden surprises. I highly recommend Muegge Heating & Cooling!

We are extremely satisfied with this company. Three months later the system is still working and my A/C bills have been lower than in the past in spite of al the 90 degree days this summer.

I used them probably within the last month. I've used Muegge off and on for years. It's a local company and I know the people. They do a good job and I'm happy with their services. The only thing that I have a bit of a problem is I think they a little high priced. They did get out just as soon as I was available to be here. I don't have a whole lot to compare their price but I was a little bit surprised by their price.

They were excellent. And I never knew I could appreciate a new furnace and air conditioner this much. It's so much quieter, and the air and temperature are noticeably more comfortable. Zack Muegge met with us personally and provided the quote. He gave us all the paperwork we needed to apply for our tax credit. The timing was such that he was also able to get a 12-month 0% interest loan for us. We are so happy to have it paid off with no interest.

Poor service. High priced. Not putting customer first. Too long to get price for furnace and repair cost to us, in order to make a decision on how we want to proceed.

April 18, 2011, we called another company to replace the well pump, but they were unable to get to us for a few days. They gave us an estimate of $1200-$1300 and a couple of references. Muegge gave us an estimate of $1000 to $1500. Work was started on the afternoon of the 20th and finished on the 21st. NO complaints about the employees - they did a good job. They were professional and friendly. Final cost was a little over $2050. Our complaint: we weren't advised that the cost would exceed the estimate by 36.7% of the high quote and 105% above the minimum quote. On Friday April 22, we drove to their office to ask why we weren't advised that the final cost would be so much more than the estimate. We could have done some of the work ourselves to cut down on our expenses if we'd have known. The receptionist told us the owner/co-owner that gave us the quote was not in the office, but we would get a call back from either her or the owner/co-owner the following Monday. No call by Wednesday so called their office. Another lady said the one we talked to on Friday wasn't there Monday or Tuesday, but would be back Thursday, so we should get a call than. It's May 9 and we still haven't received a call. Since it was determined that the pump was hit by lightening, insurance paid for the costs above our deductible. Nonetheless, an effort from the co-owner or representative to call like promised would have been appreciated. For this: we will not do business with this company in the future.
