MUEGGE HEATING & COOLING

Our 13 year old A/C unit decided to retire during the hottest week of the year. Kurtis (our project manager) made a plan to upgrade our entire system - which was very much needed. His crew did everything professionally and exceeded the scope of work. We’ve used Muegge for several years for plumbing - but they are completely legitimate for HVAC too! I’m impressed!

They did a great job. They added a vent on the opposite wall so it was properly ventilated. We would highly recommend them and we would definitely use them again.

They’ve been out every year for 30 years in the fall and spring. It is half of the $285 for each of the 6-month periods, it’s $140 something each time. I pay once a year for the spring and fall. They’re dependable, knowledgeable and high quality.

The service was under $300. They do our routine maintenance every spring and fall and they've done it for 30 years.

My favorite things about this company are knowledge, dependability, and quality of service.

Everything would have been the same. I wouldn't have any suggestions for improvement. What stands out to be is their attitude and service.

Turned out great. They treated us well. It was fine. It was an appropriate price. It was a fair price. They did what they were supposed to do. It made me happy. We've been with them for seven years. They've done stuff for us throughout the seven years.

If I didn’t give them an A I’d go to someone else. They are professional, knowledgeable, helpful. Took them maybe 20 minutes. I like that they’re local.

I think they ended up coming a littler later than they originally scheduled. I liked that they knew what they were doing and I think that’s the main thing. When I call someone like a plumber or anyone in the mechanical industry I expect them to be able to know what they’re doing. They do and there is a lot out there that don’t.

Muegge guys were very good and did a very fine job...all products seems to work..but time will tell...I will post if anything does not work well in the future. At this point I will call Muegge again...but they need to be sure....I will post here if they do anything that will lower their grade. I should let you know that they did beat the lowest price on the work of a new heat and air cond...I did have 4 estimates for the job and they went out of their way to beat the price.

He had it fixed and running smoothly in a short time

I didn't like the technician, he was rude. The work was ok. I think the technician needs to be a little bit more personable and not rude.

I have used Muegge before and I thought they had a good reputation. I called them to replace a old leaking tub faucet. The service guy was polite and on time. There was no access to the plumbing that needed to be repaired. The told him were the pipes were located. He disagreed with me. He measured by stepping off where he thought they were located. I told him I didn't think that was right. First he drew on the wall with a permanent marker where he thought he should cut. He did not cut there, he cut next to his drawing. He did not find the pipes, he continued to make 2 more holes before he finally tried where I told him the pipes were. A total of 3 small holes approximately 4X4 inches and then the large hole he needed the do the repair. He replaced the tub faucet and pipes. He said he cleaned up made no apologies for all the extra holes. After he left I found a broken nail, dirt, pieces of solder and solder embedded in my carpeting. He had not put down any drop cloth of any kind. I am very disappointed and I am concerned about the quality of work he did on our pipes considering everything else.

Very prompt and friendly service from the office staff as well as the technician. The technician was very knowledgeable as to what needed to be done. The drain he installed in the utility room looked better than what we had. I called this company for a 2nd opinion and they were approximately $900 cheaper Located nearby. Excellent reputation

My sump pump backed up in my basement and it was flooded at 11:30 at night. I found muegge on Angie's List. The male that came out was so friendly and compassionate. I was really upset that night and he explained what i needed to do and i called a company to come get all the water out and then muegge came back out and installed a new sump pump. Thank you for everything.

Overall the installation went very well. I think the young man in the attic was somewhat inexperienced as he didn't make the cuts for the vents square with the room. That bothers my husband much more than it bothers me.

The crew removed the old system and installed the complete new system in about 10 Hours. The installers we professional and efficient. The system has been in operation over a week and is excellent. I highly recommend Muegge Heating.

AC was running low on coolant. The service provider this and provided some tips. Also recommended routine maintenance since the units are nearing their life expectancy. No pressure sales. I would recommend this company due to their professionalism and value.

They are going to come out again next Monday to do some minor repairs on our heating and air conditioning unit and our plumbing. They are a local company and they have been highly recommended not just by Angie's List but by our neighbors. They are a pretty well known company in the area and when we were in trouble, they came out pretty quickly. I like their reliability, punctuality and the fact that we have neighbors that have used them and that highly recommend them. They are pretty awesome.

due to a sump pump failure, my water heater failed. Muegge representative Ernie arrived, assessed the situation and provided details as to what needed to occur. He left to obtain equipment and returned later the same afternoon (a Saturday) to replace the non-functioning water heater. Work completed neatly, quickly and without incident.

Furnace stopped heating house one morning and I was able to reset it by power cycling the furnace for 5 minutes. Called Muegge to check the furnace to ensure no major issue still existed. Service technician arrived within hours of my call and did a complete inspection of the furnace. He found nothing wrong with the furnace but suspected one of the circuits had overloaded. However since I had power cycled the furnace, the error code was not available. Technician explained everything to my satisfaction and ensured furnace was working properly including minor cleaning of flame tubes.

Recommended leaving the basement crawl space open for now and wrapping pipe to avoid recurrences.

Our furnace went out around 5:00pm on 1/6 (the night of -17 below temps) and we called Muegge for service since we had no heat. The service technician was given an incorrect address by the dispatcher, and to his credit, he tried to call a number of times to verify the correct address and left a number of voice mails (which we did not get and this was our fault). We rescheduled for Tuesday, 1/7/14 and two technicians showed up that morning. The older of the two was the problem, and when he walked into the house (now without heat for about 15 hours), he said "it's not THAT cold in here." We did not appreciate this after spending the night in a house with no heat during sub-zero temperatures. The younger gentleman was quite nice and courteous throughout. The older gentleman started complaining about the location of the furnace and how it shouldn't be in the garage (we didn't put it there - we only moved in last April) and also groaned about the fact that it was a 90% efficiency furnace (which, according to what he told me later, requires more work and checking on their part). They put a small space heater near the unit in an attempt to thaw out the lines and said they would be back in an hour. They showed up about 4 hours later, and by that time we had replaced their heater with one of our own and this thawed the lines. When they returned, the older gentleman again complained about the location of the furnace. I want to state that both technicians were technically proficient and they did get our furnace working again, but it appeared that the older gentleman hadn't slept in awhile (he stated this a number of times), and it really affected his customer service skills during our visit. I understand that this weather situation was highly unusual and that their crews had been putting in extremely long hours, but this does not excuse the attitude displayed by the older gentleman and his comments were not appreciated by us.

Paul was very professional from the time he entered our home. Scheduling with the company was a little of an issue, but the on site service received was very good. He took the time to take apart our old water heater to help in diagnosing what the leak was caused by. The estimated time for job completion was very precious. I would definitely use again based off of this experience.

I am very satisfied with their service.
