I purchased a lawn aeration for the spring. The price was very reasonable.

Very happy with the lawn service. Will use this company again next spring/summer/fall.

Very frustrating. Company used our property card to determine square footage and wanted to add $50 per application. Since a third of our property is a ravine, we knew we were not over the allotted square footage, plus have used other lawn services, and their own employee measured when they aerated our lawn. They did the second application but never performed the third one and assume they did not because we didn't pay the extra $50 for the other applications, not that they continued to bill us. They did not do a good job of letting us know when they were coming either. Overall very disappointing.

He had given intimation for the first time , before he arrived and rest two was without intimation, However after application , he had hand written his feedback for better care and placed it in the door. Didnt get chance to talk or discuss with them.

Great experience. Company did forget to follow up for fall reseeding but did a great job overall. Would love to continue the business relationship.

They came out and did what they were suppose to do. There was a slight extra charge because the yard was a little larger. We had no problems accepting the extra charge because they did a great job. I would use their services again.

Very punctual. They were all business and did their work quickly and professionally. I plan to use their services again in 2013.

In defense of the lawn care provider, this spring/summer was not very conducive to lawn treatments due to the extreme heat and prolonged drought conditions, but it would have been nice to have more communication or proactive followup from the provider regarding any issues or concerns on the condition of my lawn after the applications.

Very good experience. I found Kevin very workable and he worked me into his schedule for a date/time that worked for both of us. He did a very good job! I would use them again!

This was a horrible summer for lawns so I did not expect fertilization on a dormant lawn. It would have meant more damage to the lawn if they had worked on it. I expected them to say something however as we had talked about other yard work for the fall.

Initial correspondence was fine and prompt. Tenant informed me that work was completed. I would have appreciated a call or email letting me know when work was done.

They did a very good job. This summer was very hot and dry so it made their job rather difficult. They worked quickly and efficiently. We didn't have any weeds this summer!

We had a drought this summer so I was not allowed to water. But they did do everything they were supposed to do.

They never showed up, and I called more than 10+ times to schedule. They did schedule 5 times but never showed up.

Shortly after I purchased the Big Deal, the company contacted me to set up a time. Talk about simple. I didn't need to be home. They had given me a few target days by which it would be done. The came and did it 2 days before they stated. Next years aeroation and seeding will be with Kessinger!

Purchased a big deal from Kessinger Lawn Care to fertilize my yard. Deal was for 10k Lot Size (not actual lawn size), so I had to pay an addition $20 per application. Fertilization was fine. Communication was OK, but not great; I had to call in the fall twice to get them to come out for the final application, and they were a bit later than I would have liked.

Services and communication were very good. Three treatments were not a lot to base this experience on, but I feel that we received our money's worth and work was done well.

The good news is they were super timely. The bad news is I have no idea what good it did because of the summer we had. I would say not fair to judge since it was such a weird summer.

They were wonderful. They did an excellent job. Usually my neighbor would do the whole neighborhood but was not able to this year. They did not skimp on the work they did the irritation the correct way and the way it is supposed to be done.

My husband was impressed with the workmen and asked if they could give him a quote on some additional lawn services. The workers provided a contact email address and phone number. After sending several emails and leaving several voice mails, someone came to look over what services we were interested in having done. We were to receive a quote within a few days. When no quote was received, contact was attempted by email and voice mail. We never heard back from the company at all. I would not recommend this company, nor will we use them again. It is unfortunate because the workers who completed the 'Big Deal' were very polite and professional. They even cleaned the plugs from the driveway and sidewalk.

The workers were very nice. They answered all of my questions. I am not sure if they did the third application though.

This company offered a great deal, but poor customer service. Once I purchased the deal, I tried emailing and calling to set up appointments. For over a week, the voicemail box was full. When I finally had the chance to leave a message, calls were not returned. Finally, about three weeks after the purchase I was contacted. Due to an early spring, it was suggested the first two treatments be combined. I'm not a lawn expert, but agreed to the suggestion. Weeds were effectively killed, but so was my grass. Not sure if it was the chemicals, treatments being combined, or the dry summer. While I appreciate a good bargain, I also put customer service very high on my list of must-have's for Angie's List companies. Due to very poor results and even poorer customer service, I won't be using or recommending this company again.

No problems from start to finish. Everything went as it supposed to go. I would do it again just as we did it this time.

Their ad was for fertilization coverage based on square footage. My actual amount of grass met their coverage, however, when scheduling the appointment after purchasing the deal, it came out that they calculate coverage on LOT size, not actual YARD size (they do not remove square-footage calculation for house, driveway, deck, landscaping, etc.). My actual lawn is about 10 to 12K square feet, which met their coverage requirement. However, my 150X160 lot comes out to 24K square feet. They were good, at first, about seeing my complaint that their ad was for 10K (or 12K, I can't remember now) square foot of COVERAGE, not for lot size as they claimed later. We even agreed upon a plan where they would do the first application, then refund me the remaining dollar amount if they felt it was too big of a yard. This plan was good, but their execution was poor. I had to call and email to get my refund (took about a month), while also getting an earful that my yard was too big. This should be a lesson to other landscaping companies - don't advertise applications based on square feet of coverage unless you really mean that. If your service is based on lot size, then explicitly say it's for lot size. It's crazy to me to think any fertilizer application service would be based on lot size, but that's your call. It seems to me that the amount of grass vs. space taken up by house/driveway/shrubs/deck/pool/etc. varies too wildly from house to house to purely quote on lot size.

We are highly dissatisfied. Kevin Kessinger was proactive about scheduling and completing the first two treatments. The summer was harsh with drought conditions, leaving all neighborhood yards in poor condition. When it finally started to rain again, most of the neighboring yards bounced back nicely, but ours was in terrible shape. We left a couple of messages asking about our third treatment but never received a return phone call. We decided to just write off the loss and are working diligently to repair the damage ourselves for next season. This is also an experience that has soured us on the Angie's List Big Deals. Out of four purchases, only one has gone smoothly.
