Overall, I am very pleased with the time spent on the job and quality of the job performed. Bill returned my initial phone call very quickly. He made arrangements to come out for an estimate two days later. I could tell from the start that he knew what I was talking about and that he would have no problem doing it. After two days, I received an estimate. After calling him back to say that I wanted him to do the work, he contacted me and set up a time to come do the work about 1 week after the original conversation. He completed the work very quickly and to my satisfaction. There was some difficulty in getting the wire from the attic to the basement, resulting in a couple of holes in our walls, one of which did not get fixed (my only complaint). I would certainly use Ellison Electric again for any electrical work and would recommend them to others. The price quoted did not differ from the final cost, and the estimate was on par with another estimate I got for the same job

On time, polite, professional and reasonably priced.

Responded quickly with estimate. Did work efficiently. Had a problem with light sensor for garage light and they adjusted it the next day.

We contacted Ellison Electric to give us an estimate for electrical work in our basement. Mr. Ellison came out the next day to look at the job and delivered the written itemized estimate to us that evening. We called him immediately and scheduled the job. His employee was on time, completed the job in a timely manner, and cleaned up everything before leaving. Mr. Ellison was courteous, called us back promptly, and did the job at the estimated price. The electrical work was neat and professionally done.

I had company coming over and needed emergency service. They were able to adjust their schedule to fit me in. All around, they do a great job. They are very knowledgeable. I appreciate the fact that their willing to take on jobs of all sizes -- even the small ones. For electrical work, I wouldn't use anybody else.

Prior to a house visit, Ellison spoke with me over the phone to trouble shoot and try to resolve the issue in this manner. We ended up needing a service call. While they could not fix the bad part (they could order/replace it), they did provide some great alternative solutions that we are very happy with. (We have used this provider a number of times in the past and they are the first company we will call in the future.)

Bill Ellison gave me an estimate in March 2006. Our 1940 bathroom had no receptacle, one switch for the overhead fan and light and the exhaust fan vented directly into the attic. Bill spent at least an hour with me explaining various options and where holes would have to be cut. He was very thorough and polite and I received an estimate within a day. In the following months I called Bill twice and emailed him twice to clarify several points and ask about other options. Each time, he explained options patiently and made me feel that inquiries were welcome, not a bother. When I was ready to have the work done in June, he was able to schedule me within a week. He arrived exactly on time and explained to his assistant Bob, who did the installation, exactly what was to be done. Bob worked quickly, did exactly what was promised and thoroughly cleaned up the mess that resulted from cutting a hole in the plaster ceiling. I had no qualms about leaving him in my house when I went to work.

He gave me the name of a roofing company to do the first part of the process. Bill Ellison is very nice to work with. There wasn't much work, so all they had to do was hook the fan to the wiring. He gave me a discount because it was little work and I was an Angie's List member.

He did a good job, was prompt and clean.

It could not have been better! Very professional & efficient.

We called and got Mr. Ellison's wife who said he was out on a job but would call us back that evening. It was nice to get a live person and he called back that evening as promised. We explained that we needed to have some work done as soon as possible due to our house being for sale and he was willing to come out right away. Due to the nature of the repairs, Cinergy required us to have them come out and pull the meter before he could do the repairs. He met Cinergy at our house on Cinergy's first available day. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made this process very easy on us. The buyer on our home had an inspector that provided inaccurate information and Bill advised us on this which saved us a lot of money! A minor adjustment on our electrical box was all that was needed to correct that issue which he did while he was waiting for Cinergy to arrive. We are so pleased with his professionalism, integrity, and his service and will definitely recommend him to anyone we know!

THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN LOOKED AT BY SEVERAL PEOPLE THAT WERE UNABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. I WAS HIGHLY IMPRESSED WITH MR. ELLISON AND HIS ASSISTANT. THEY WERE ABLE TO CUT THROUGH THE CLOSET WALL AND FIND WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS, AND THEN INSTALLED A NEW BOX AND ADDED SOME WIRING TO MAKE THE OUTLETS WORK. THEY WERE HERE ABOUT TWO HOURS AND WERE PUNCTUAL.

BOB WAS EXCELLENT - TOOK TIME TO EDUCATE ME ON THE ELECTRICITY IN MY NEW (OLD HOUSE) HOME. I HAD TO GO OUT TO LOWE'S TO GET GFI OUTLETS TO MATCH THE COLORS IN MY KITCHEN (DECOR IS EVERYTHING); THEY RE-FACTORED MY BILL TO ACCOUNT FOR THIS AND MAKE IT MOST FAIR FOR ME. THEY ALSO DID A SMALLER JOB AT MY FORMER HOUSE - WILLING TO TURN OFF POWER WITH IPL, USE REALTOR'S LOCKBOX AND DO ALL THIS WITHOUT EVER MEETING ME FACE TO FACE. I LIKE THAT THE OWNER, BILL ELLISON, WAS WILLING TO COMMUNICATE IN WRITING AND BY EMAIL. HE PROVIDED AN ESTIMATE (QUITE ACCURATE, IN FACT) FROM MY BUYER'S INSPECTION, WHICH WAS VERY CONVENIENT.

MR. ELLISON AND HIS ASSISTANT ACCOMMODATED OUR SCHEDULE, AND ARRIVED EXACTLY WHEN STATED. WORK WAS DONE THOROUGHLY AND THOUGHTFULLY. WORK SITE WAS LEFT COMPLETELY CLEAN. A TOP NOTCH COMPANY.

BILL ELLISON CALLED BEFORE HE ARRIVED, WAS EVEN A LITTLE EARLY. HE DONNED ''BOOTIES'' TO KEEP FLOORS CLEAN, REMOVING AND REPLACING THEM FOR EACH TRIP OUT TO HIS TRUCK. HE EXPLAINED EXACTLY WHAT HE WAS GOING TO DO, WORKED QUICKLY AND EFFICIENTLY, AND DID A VERY THOROUGH, HIGH QUALITY JOB. HE RECEIVED SEVERAL CALLS FROM OTHER CUSTOMERS ON HIS CELLPHONE DURING THE JOB, POLITELY EXPLAINED TO EACH THAT HE WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF A JOB AND WOULD GET BACK TO THEM SHORTLY. HE WAS VERY PERSONABLE THROUGHOUT, AND LEFT US CONFIDENT THAT THE WIRING WAS DONE CORRECTLY AND SAFELY. HE CLEANED UP THE WORK AREA AFTERWARD, VACUUMING AND WIPING OFF SHELVES AND STOVETOP.

WE WERE ON A TIGHT TIMELINE. BILL OFFERED ADVICE THAT WOULD SAVE TIME AND MONEY AND DID NOT TRY TO ''SELL'' ANYTHING. HE WORKED US INTO THEIR SCHEDULE AND HIS CREW DID THE WORK ON A FRIDAY NIGHT WORKING TILL 10:30 PM TO GET IT DONE. THEY EVEN DID SOME WIRING THAT WASN'T ORIGINALLY PART OF THE JOB. JOB LOOKS GREAT.

OUTSTANDING SERVICE - PROMPT, KNOWLEDGEABLE, FRIENDLY. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HIM TO OTHERS.

I WILL REPEAT THIS ABOUT MYSELF FROM OTHER POSTS: I MAKE DETECTIVE MONK LOOK DOWNRIGHT SLOVENLY. BILL ELLISON AND HIS CREWS ARE AS GOOD AS IT GETS. THEY COME ON TIME (CALLED TO NOTIFY ME OF A FIVE MINUTE [!!!!!] DELAY IN ARRIVAL -- I COULDN'T BELIEVE HOW CUSTOMER SERVICE CENTERED THEY ARE!), DO THE WORK WITHOUT HASSLE AND LEAVE WITH ME, THE CUSTOMER, MORE THAN JUST SATISFIED, BUT IMPRESSED. BILL HAS SAVED ME MONEY BY FINDING A BETTER WAY TO DO SOMETHING; AND I SLEEP WELL KNOWING THINGS ARE DONE UP TO -- IF NOT OVER -- CODE. THEY'RE THE GREATEST; I HAVE A LOT MORE WORK TO DO AND THERE'S NO QUESTION OF WHO WILL DO IT.

BILL AND HIS STAFF ARE ALWAYS PROFESSIONAL, AND TAKE THE TIME TO EXPLAIN WHAT THEY ARE DOING. THEY ALWAYS MATCH QUOTE GIVEN PRIOR TO WORK. HAVE AND WILL CONTINUE TO USE ONLY ELLISON FOR ELECTRICAL WORK.

AFTER FINDING THE PROBLEM, I CALLED BILL ELLISON AND LEFT A MESSAGE ON HIS VOICE MAIL. HE CALLED ME THAT EVENING AND HAD AN ELECTRICIAN AT MY HOUSE THE NEXT MORNING.

ELLISON WAS ON TIME. DID QUICK AND QUALITY WORK. VERY PROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE AND DEMEANOR. WE ARE HAVING THEM BACK TO DO MORE WORK FOR US.

JAME WAS ON TIME VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. ANSWERED ALL QUESTIONS AND WAS VERY POLITE. NEAT AND CLEAN IN APPEARANCE. VERY REASONABLE WITH PRICE, GAVE $10 DISCOUNT FOR ANGIE'S LIST MEMBERS.

BILL AND HIS STAFF WERE VERY HELPFUL. THEY PERFORMED THE WORK VERY PROFESSIONALLY. IN THE PROCESS THEY PROVIDED SOME EXPLANATION ABOUT WHY THEY WERE DOING THIS, OR DISCUSSED ADDITIONAL THINGS THAT MIGHT NEED TO BE UPDATED TO MEET CURRENT CODE. THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THE WORK WAS COMPLETED.

I HAVE USED THEM BEFORE FOR SOME INDOOR WORK. THE OWNER HIMSELF COMES OUT FOR THE ESTIMATE AND TO DISCUSS THE WORK. THE WORKMEN ARE VERY PUNCTUAL AND ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS. THEY WERE VERY GOOD ABOUT KEEPING OTHER AREAS OF THE HOUSE CLEAN.

WAS PROMPT IN CALLING BACK, TIMELY IN PROVIDING ESTIMATE. WILL HIRE HIM WHEN OUR PROJECT IS READY IN 2 OR 3 WKS.
