I could not be happier with the experience. Mark and Teresa, the owners, are great people to work with. When I called in late spring they were already booked out until August. Mark came out and measured and a day or so later Teresa emailed a detailed estimate. A week before the install they delivered the new hardwood to be installed in our entry way and drop off stain samples. We made arrangements to be out of the house during the job due to the fumes and having 2 dogs as well. Mark and his crew began work on Wednesday and were finished by Friday afternoon. Our floors look brand new.

We had an excellent experience with Cox Hardwood Flooring. Received a prompt estimate. Work was schedule and performed on time. They did a great job blending old hardwood floors with new. Floors look great.

Mark came over and quoted a very fair price for the job. We liked that he was an independent owner with over 30 years experience. The job took 4 days, and started and finished on time. The results were outstanding. The new floor matched the existing one beautifully. On Mark's recommendation, we went with a natural finish and a satin poly to minimize visible scratches from our 90 lb dog. We are so glad we did- you can't see any scratches from daily use. We are happy with every decision we made on that project. Cox Flooring was great to work with.

I couldn't recommend Mark and his team more. Mark has seen it all when i comes to flooring and did an outstanding job. He showed up on time for the estimating process and the entire team showed up on time for each day of installation. Cleaned up and treated my home as if it was theirs. Yes, he's busy and you'll likely need to wait a couple of months but there's a reason for that and it's called professionalism and workmanship. My suggestion would be to get on his calendar first and then go identify and source the flooring. I've found that there's a ton of margin in hardwood flooring prices and if you do a little research you can save thousands. You may be able to find people as good but you won't find better!

This individual is a stand up person with integrity and old world values. USE HIM He walked around, assessed the situation, wasn't critical of the previous work but did recognize things weren't done to quality standards. He went to his truck and came back with material to fill the nails holes, showed me how to do it and fixed the wood boards popping up as well as some trim work and transition boards. Anyone who is fortunate enough to work with him will be getting a person of the highest standards and ethics.

AMAZING JOB - our floors are new again! We're the 3rd owner of the home and they were very beat up. Can't believe these are the same floors! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Few spots we wanted touched up and they came back for no charge and resolved the issue. AMAZING.

You could not ask for a more perfect experience. We gave them the keys to our house and went on vacation. When we returned we have beautiful floors. The dust management was amazing. Yes there was some but mostly in the rooms where the floors were refinished and even there it was minimal. Great company and people to work with.

I selected 3 Angie's list award winners for bids. They were neither the highest nor the lowest, but selected hem based on reviewes and personality during his estimate. He was booked out a few weeks, but glad I waited for him. Real down to earth folks (his crew too). Made sure to be on the job early and stayed to the end. Floors look great.

They did five rooms. We bought the wood ourselves. They told us not to buy the wood from them and to go to like Menards or someplace else and get it because it would be cheaper. So, they were very good about that. The cost was about $6,000 and the wood was $4,000 for a total of $10,000. They were just excellent. They came in and worked around our schedule. They gave us recommendations or suggestions like telling us not to buy the wood from them directly, to go out and get it someplace else and they would install it for us. They were just very helpful, courteous, and punctual. They are great. They were recommended to us. We went out and look and they are on Angie’s List and I know they gave us an Angie’s List discount. It was like 5% off of the total of their labor. We would use them again if we needed them.

I do not write reviews often. We contacted Cox Hardwood Flooring to have our kitchen hardwoods refinished. 400 square feet. We were put on a two month wait list . It was certainly worth the wait. We have a twenty year old home with very thin veneer wood floor in kitchen that was very worn. I had two people give estimates that would not even refinish the floor because the wood was thin and so worn. Cox was able to move us up about a month after I asked, so definitely a plus. The crew was punctual and patient with myself and children. It took two half days to finish. The floors looked brand new when they were finished. They looked great and made our entire Kitchen look so much better. Everyone including our realtor thought it was a new floor! We are just putting the home for sale And I wish we would have refinished the floors sooner! We highly recommend Cox Flooring, I wish I could post pictures because the floors Are dramatically improved.

I was very pleased with this experience. I scheduled the work about 2 months in advance and the job was started just as scheduled. The floor looks great and exceeds my expectations. They did the work exactly as they said they would, and put up plastic to limit dust in other areas of the home. They were very responsive with all communications and I would definitely use their services again in the future.

Cox Hardwood Flooring was just exceptional in their work. My 90-year old floors were worn badly in many spots and they restored them to look nearly new! The consultation was short and smooth, they book quickly but were able to schedule a couple months later while I was planning to be on vacation. He quoted me a very fair price (I screened multiple companies), and came by a week or so prior to the work being done to show me an example of the stain I had chosen. Once here, the work they did was fantastic, there was a bit of dust and a bit of lingering polyurethane smell afterwards, but neither were in any way inconvenient. I am now eager to have them do my upstairs too!

We just can't say enough good things about Mark and his team. The floors are absolutely stunning and they were able to make the existing and new flooring look identical as though they had both always been there. The quality of their work is second to none (and this is not our first rodeo with hardwood flooring installation, so we had benchmarks!). The precision, attention to detail, and overall skill this team brought to the project is worth the investment. We picked them specifically because they do not subcontract the components of the work and do it all themselves. Also, Mark is on every project, and he has been doing this probably longer than he cares to admit. We ran into an unexpected hurdle when we discovered electrical cords for the speaker system underneath the carpeting that was planned to be converted to hardwood. Mark was able to troubleshoot the issue and find a workaround that saved us a ton of time and money. I neglected to include a small linen closet in my original request for work and asked if they could install wood in it during the course of the project. Mark was worried they would be tight on wood so he couldn't promise anything, but when I got home after it was all said and done, they did the closet for me. They totally went above and beyond. The floors look better than I could have imagined. If you call and there is a wait to have them, you can rest assured that there is a reason people wait to work with them, and from someone who just finished a project, it is well worth it!

Mark Eads, owner of Cox flooring, was one of 3 estimates I obtained. His estimate was the lowest by a small amount. Based on Angie List reviews I hired him. I received the estimate in May and the first available slot on their schedule was October. We weren't in a hurry so it was OK with us. Mark was concerned about the tile entryway since it was laid on top of a layer of concrete. He knew it would be a big job and it was. $600 of the cost was the removal of the tile. They arrived punctually and the first thing they did was put plastic up over all the doorways from the entry to the rest of the house to contain the dust. It was a messy job but they did their best to keep the area clean. The floor was also uneven so they had to build it up to make it even. The second day they put the flooring in the entryway and the dining room. They put tarps down where the men walked through my house. They had to cut the wood in our garage since it was raining. They stained 1/4 round molding to match our woodwork and put that down. When they left, they cleaned up the garage and vacuumed the area where they worked. They came back the following week to put the wood down in the great room. They took a railing down for us and patched where it was nailed to the wood trim. I was very pleased with the quality of their work. There were 4 or 5 men working hard and they were all very polite. They were respectful of our house and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. The price did not include the hardwood. Mark directed me to a flooring store where I bought it. I was also surprised that Mark's crew does not pick up the wood for you and the store does not deliver. Every other contractor I have had do remodeling picked up the flooring and fixtures that I selected from the store. Fortunately I was able to get the boxes of wood into my car.

They came and sanded everything and refinished the floors. The are super nice people and did an awesome job.

Love my floors! Excellent work and quality throughout. Very easy to work with and professionalism was exhibited throughout the process. The communication process was impressive. Teresa handled and coordinated the project beautifully, was prompt with her responses and constantly on top of the schedule. Mark and his crew were efficient, professional, took pride in their work, and the end result was that the quality is outstanding. Also, they took such care with keeping the amount of dust created by the sanding process to a minimum. A number of people who have seen the floors are amazed at how beautiful they look. We have already recommended Cox Flooring to a neighbor.

although they are quite busy and you need to schedule in advance the work was well worth the wait. accommodating, professional and very hard working.

They did a super job sealing off all the rooms, vents, counter tops, etc. to keep the mess contained. Impressive. They were polite , timely, and professional. They did an excellent job cleaning up after themselves each day

Showed up on time, explained what would happen, completed project. Returned next morning to apply second coat of urethane. The floors look new. A painting service we have used previously complimented us today on how good the floors look and said too many floor refinishing companies are charging $5 to $8 per sq foot "for no good reason." Neighbor across the street already has booked cox after seeing our job. I highly recommend Cox and would use them again, hands down.

Mark is a true artist and his work is exquisite. He is honest, has integrity and knows what he is doing. I could not believe how beautiful the floors were after Mark refinished them. I don't think you will find anyone better.

They had a Super Service Award and they deserve it. They were prompt and thorough. It looks great! I would nominate them for a Super Service Award if that's possible.

Mr. Cox and crew were very professional. They estimated a week. They started Monday morning and were finished Friday noon. The quality of the work is outstanding. Very easy to work with. They were our lowest bid of three.

Long story short. Don't bother with this outfit unless you want to wait........ They're 5 months out! Now some might think it's because they're "so good" but I think it's something altogether different. The person that does their scheduling is totally off the mark. I rescheduled a job that I had scheduled once because our remodel was delayed because of the blizzard of 2014. They did reschedule me that time. I projected it out a few more months. Then I had the job coming up and wanted to reschedule it again a couple more months (from April to July). Well this time, they not only didn't even call me back, the told me they couldn't get to me for another 5 months! I have $5000 in hand and they had the my business. Totally senseless. I'm a small business owner so I understand a little bit about how to run a business. Scheduling 101: If I want to move my job out to a later date, then what you would do is put me on that later date, then call a person with a close date to me, put them on my old date, then call the person with the date I want and put them on the other persons old date. Makes sense? Not that complicated. Don't take my scheduled date that I cancel, give it to someone else and then tell me I have to wait 5 months. Again, I have pretty nice chunk of change I was going to give them. If their minds work this way when it comes scheduling, then what kind of quality am I going to get? It's probably for the best. I called another place on Angieslist the same day and they told me they were a week out. That's how business is done. I'm not in the wood flooring business but something is wrong when you're making people wait 5 months, that's not a sign of success.

I contacted the provider through angies list and he promptly replied back to my message. Then he came in precisely at the time mentioned and provided all the details. Since we were little bit unsure, he also demonstrated a small area how it would look after refinishing it. I got the quote very next day. It is not the best quote (price wise) I got so I am still deciding on this.

On the installation side, Mark and his team are honest and diligent and transparent and fair. True masters of their craft, Cox Hardwood Flooring takes great pride in performing high quality work. We have already recommended Cox Hardwood Flooring to several friends, and we are also looking forward to utilizing them on future projects. A fantastic experience!
