I called at 7 a.m. They said they would be here between 10 and 12 and the serviceman was here at 10:05. He told me he would try auguring from the outside and it would be $180.00. He was done in less than 30 minutes and it was $180.00. There was a tree root in the line.They do not take Angie's list coupon, only ones from their own website. I was very pleased at the promptness and ease of the solution. Also they gave a 6 month warranty on what he did. I would definitely call them again. (Hope I don't need to though;)

Great as always and the guys doing work are always friendly and helpful.

We had a leaky pipe under a sink. They were prompt, early in fact. That was great. He had the problem fixed in about 30 minutes. The only thing I DID NOT like was : I had a coupon I printed off Angie's List for $30.00. The plumber said he could only take $20.00 off because the coupon was a "corporation coupon" and he was a "local company" Roto Rooter. I still don't understand what that means. The coupon had NO fine print and did say For Angie's List Customers/subscribers. My question is: Are all Angie's List coupons $10.00 or more, LESS than what is printed on it?? It is deceiving...

Ovcerall, it was successful--but very iffy for awhile. They gave us good advice on using rid-x every month to keep it unplugged. The drain is an exceptionally long one. He worked a long time to unplug it. we have home owners insurance so only pay the one rate so don't know about the cost.

The cleaning was done speedily, and cleanup was excellent, by a friendly worker, but estimate seemed high. A competitor was willing to do the job for about one half the amount and did it.

I called Roto-Rooter and scheduled an appointment. The technician came to our home at the scheduled time. The issue was resolved after 2-3 trials with the rooting device.

I have been pleased with the work from Roto-Rooter.

We've used this company for the last 5 years, and they consistently give great, fast, and reasonably priced service. Cannot say enough good about their work, professionalism, effort and communication. We don't hesitate to call them with all of our plumbing needs.

We had a faucet that suddenly stopped working. We called our home warranty provider who then contacted RotoRooter. They scheduled an appointment at our convenience. They were prompt and professional. Unfortunately, the warranty did not cover the service and we had to pay quite a bit for a small repair, but that was not the fault of RotoRooter. They were very helpful.

The technician arrived on time, explained the charges and what he would be doing to determine the problem. He went straight to work, determined the problem and cleared the toilet clog in about an hour. He showed me what the problem was and told me what may need to be done if the problem persisted. The charge for the service was fair and competitive. Technician was professional and courteous and explained things very well.

"Roto Rooter Plumbers came to our home because of a serious backup problem that caused major flooding throughout our entire home (both main floor and basement). Ed Sullivan, our service man, came out right away, quickly fixing our problem within a matter of minutes, not only informing us as to how the problem started but as to what kind of shape our plumbing was in (which was much better than we thought). Ed was incredibly knowledgeable, courteous, and quite professional - even coming in under what was initially quoted over the phone. If we ever find ourselves in need of a plumber again, we will call Roto Rooter Plumbing. I must add that we had contacted several plumbing companies around Fort Wayne before deciding on Roto Rooter because they were also "so" incredibly helpful, courteous, and professional (not to mention patient) amidst my frantic phone call about our leak!

They came within 45 minutes of our calling them. They diagnosed the problem and worked to clear the roots. They answered any questions we had, and updated us several times throughout the process. The line was cleared of roots and a foaming root killer was applied. We are very pleased with the response time and the price is about what we would expect to pay.

Everything was done very prompt and as promised.

Roto-Rooter Plumbers have to come out about once a year to make sure my main line is clear of roots and other stuff… They are always professional and quick. Now they are including camera service with all main line clean out which is great. Lets you know right away if you have or are going to have problems and where its at… Great Service, Thanks Dax, our technician…

The worker explained everything that was wrong with my plumbing and described what he was gone to do. He did a good job.

Roto-Rooter came to investigate an issue with our sewer line. They sent a camera down the sewer line through the basment wall and told me they couldn't find a problem and need to excavate. They acted like I was crazy and didn't believe my issue. Our problem was that water from the the house (dishes, showers, toilets) went out through the sewer line and back into the drainage tile in the basement footer and out through the sump pump again. I had another contractor come out and they diagnosed the problem without a camera and fixed it the next week. The new contractor charged me $400 less than roto-rooter wanted. There was a break in the sewer line about 2 or 3 feet from the house causing the house water to drain a few feet from the basement wall. I filed a complaint with BBB against Roto-Rooter asking for a partial refund for charging me for unnecessary work and not being able to diagnose my problem. They lied to BBB and had no receord of my phone calls about getting a written estimate. The only way they'd give me any money was to give them the name of the new contractor.

The Roto-Rooter serviceman arrived within 15 minutes of contacting Roto-Rooter. Jeff was prompt, professional, and personable. My plumbing problem was solved within an hour of making contact with this company. I appreciated the prompt service and professionalism of the service personnel.

The first visit was to unclog a pump that pumped sewage from a basement bathroom. The technician cleaned the pump and then told us we can't use the basement toilet for anything but urinating. Another plumber later told us that the previous owner had installed the wrong pump - why couldn't Roto Rooter tell us that instead of inconveniencing us? Later we used them to clean a line from a sump pit to a retention pond. They jetted the line and it took only a half hour but they tried to charge us $400, claiming they charge a minimum two hours to come out. We paid them $200 for one hour of work and they took us to small claims. We won the case, but a very unpleasant experience. The line is not completely cleared, but we will obviously use someone else next time. UPDATE and response to the Provider - we are not going to belabor this nightmare, but to address a couple of important points - I personally made the phone call to ask for the service and I was NEVER given an estimate over the phone. I testified to this in court. In hindsight, I obviously wish I had but I had other quotes that were about half the price and I assumed they were in the same range. I would have never hired them had I known the price up front - that is ultimately what I think convinced the magistrate that we were telling the truth because their price was so far out of line. Also, it is not true and we testified in court, that we were given an invoice before the job. The technician walked directly to the back yard and started working. We have the carbon copy receipt from the invoice in our hands to this day that only has one set of writing. So the technician or someone else wrote something else on their copy of the invoice but it did not make it to the copy we have because we were not shown the invoice ahead of time. We won the case so that is really the bottom line - we are not lying and our account is the way it happened. Also - they did not unclog the line. The owner would not know this since we never called him back since he was taking us to court. The drain still did not work properly and I eventually fixed it myself. The bottom line is to make sure you get an estimate for work ahead of time and also make sure you get estimates from other providers.
