Dusty Brothers were on time, very professional, and did a fantastic job. They left my home the same way it was prior to coming out. Except my chimney flu and dryer vent was clean. They were even given an opportunity to charge extra, but instead they were honest and said they didnt think that type of work was needed at this time.

The contractor called about an hour before the scheduled appointment to ask if he could come early as they were running ahead of schedule. They were well organized and got right to work in a very professional manner. They were careful and clean which is very important when you are dealing with a chimney and wood stove.

The reason why we chose them was because we read some reviews on Angie's List and they were also very available as they were willing to come out on a weekend. They have very accommodating hours.

They did a very good job. They are the second company I used, the first company did not do the job correctly. So I contacted them and they came out the same day. They were quick and did a good job. I will use them again in the future if I needed to.

They were great. They are very responsive and very punctual. They were very professional. Sometimes you call contractor and they just either show up or they show up on their own time and I like it when people show up when they say they are going to and that is what they did.

Kurt was very informative and professional. They were very considerate - called to let me know they would be 10 minutes late and were here right when they said they would be. Did a great job and were very efficient. I would definitely recommend them and will have them back in a year to check again. I was amazed at how much lint was packed inside the roof vent! I am SO glad we had this service done. I will encourage my friends to have their dryer vents checked!

I would do business with them again. I have no issues like most people ask how they in terms of containing the dust of my roof were they good to seal it off so there wasn't dust in the home. They were pleasant and nice. I don't remember how they charge but it wasn't a terrible amount I think you know at average expense. I didn't do competitive bidding with the service rate/price but yeah it was reasonable in my opinion.

I have an older home that had a dryer vent that spanned about 40 feet with a lot of twists and turns to get to the outside vent (no where near current building codes). It used a plastic flexible tube between the dryer and the outside. I had replaced my washer and dryer, and the installation / delivery team noted that water was built up in the existing vent system and recommended I have someone come look at it. After reviewing Angie's List, I selected Dusty Brothers. They were very prompt with returning my call, arrived exactly when they said they would, and after reviewing my situation, determined that the existing dryer vent was causing build up of water in the flexible tubing due to its length and all the turns the air had to go through before it reached the outside. They gave me an estimate on the spot and were able to perform the work. They were done in 1.5 hours and it has been well worth the cost. The guys came in an looked at my fireplace and gave me some advice on what to do with a very old insert that was too small (I can't get even a small piece of wood in it). I will be calling these guys again for any other work I need related to venting and fireplace. I have no idea if I got a good price - but the professionalism, quality of work, and timeliness was worth the cost.

Problems found with our existing woodburning fireplace that deem it unsafe to burn. We were thankful to find this out BEFORE we attempted to burn anything. The gentlemen who came out were very professional and thorough. They had come highly recommended to us from our neighbors and service several of our neighbors fireplaces. We have only recently bought the home and although the fireplace was inspected by a home inspector, the problems with the chimney were missed.

My fireplace (built in 1905) had not been used since I moved into the house a year ago, and the previous owners didn't give any indication that they had used it either. So, of course, I wanted it cleaned so that I could properly enjoy it this winter. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the previous owners had never installed the damper I had requested following the home inspection. The techs had the parts on the truck and were able to install a damper, as well as replace the cover with a scrap piece of sheet metal for my ash bin that had broken (at no extra charge). They were quick, professional, and clean. Although the visit cost me $375 more than I had planned on for the visit, it was a necessary repair. They also recommended that I have the rear firewall re-grouted and install a heat shield, which I'll likely have Dusty Brothers do next winter.

Our home and chimney, built in 1962, is Roman brick. Over 50 years, the brick has weathered; the chimney has weathered most significantly. Through the process of expansion and contraction, many bricks had crumbled from the chimney to the point where rain was running down behind the bricks and leaking through the flashing into the insulation in the attic space. We called several companies for estimates. With an estimate of $525, Dusty Brothers' estimate was by far the most affordable option. Dusty Brothers proposed removing the crumbling masonry and re-doing the chimney in a stucco exterior, and they based their quote upon this recommendation. Before proceeding with reconstruction, they made sure that we knew what the resulting chimney would look like once coated in stucco. On the day of the repairs, Chuck was careful to make sure that all of our questions were answered before he began working on the chimney. He walked us through the process of repair before he began the work. Chuck worked steadily throughout the morning and into the afternoon, quick to answer any questions that we had and meticulous about the quality of repairs he performed. He shared several helpful tips with us and addressed all issues and concerns in an expedient fashion. We ended up asking Chuck to address several other repairs while he was on site, and he was able to do everything at an affordable price without making a second trip. He completed everything with the same attention to detail that he demonstrated when working on the chimney. The chimney is now sealed in stucco, preventing future leaks and damage; the sewer vent pipe boots are replaced and sealed; there is a new dryer vent with a lint trap; and the furnace and water heater pipes, which vent through the chimney, are sealed in place. Before leaving, Chuck gave us several tips about how to repair and preserve our brick exterior. He also made sure that we knew how to care for our newly stuccoed chimney once it cures, and he recommended application of a crown coat product in 8 months to one year to seal the chimney crown. Throughout the process, Chuck was very informative. He definitely knows the business and is passionate about educating the consumer. He also knows the products that his company uses and is able to discuss everything thoroughly and with the kind of confidence that comes from experience. We were satisfied with Dusty Brothers. The chimney looks great and doesn't leak, and service was prompt and affordable. We would definitely have work performed by this company again and would recommend Chuck's work to anyone.

The guys were very professional and very careful to keep my home clean. The inspection was quick and thorough. I appreciated being offered different levels of repair from bare minimum to fully upgrading what we have. There was no pressure to book any more business that day nor to go with the most expensive option.

I was impressed with Dusty Bros. A family owned company - they came early for the appointment. Explained what needed to be done and worked in a timely manner to complete the job. The things that were moved in the garage they put back. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and co-workers. Very nice and friendly staff. Also the price quoted was the price that I paid. No add on's increasing the charge.

Everything they have done for me has been on time, quick and no mess left behind.

They came out the same day I called and did some caulking around the chimney area. He said if its not fixed he would come back, but he thinks he fixed the problem. He explained everything to us and was very knowledgeable. He was also very nice, which means a lot.

Now it takes less than half the time for clothes to dry and savings on my electric bill will pay for the charge in no time. I would recommend the company.

After they arrived (very prompt and they called asking if they could come earlier than scheduled) they told me our vent was dangerously long and if I wanted to make it much shorter it would be very easy. I ended up having them reroute the vent and it was very fast and reasonable in price. The were done in about an hour. I felt they served me well, making sure my vent was safe.

They showed up on time as scheduled for their appointment. They were courteous, got the job done and were out within a half hour. I will use them again in the future.

The work was essentially free; all we paid was his automobile gas money. Out of the 3 people we called from Angie's List he was the first person to call back the next day. I will use him again in the future.

I couldn't have expected it to go any better than it did. They are friendly and make sure your satisfied before they leave. I asked him if he would show me how to work my fireplace since I never had a woodburning one before, he was happy to and made sure I understood.

The price was reasonable. Of what I can remember he came to on time when he was supposed to and he was nice. He was friendly enough and I think he did a thorough job. The people I had before did not do it from both ends but he did. He got up on the roof and cleaned it from there then from down below so he did a good job.

They were very thorough in their work, but a little high on price.
