Description of Work: Two great guys and one person who was not able to do the work well. He dropped multiple things, broke multiple things, put many things clearly marked in the absolute wrong place (everyday toiletries in a huge stack in the basement). More frustrating - they broke a brand new dresser. Just covered it up and did not tell us. Would only pay for half. We had to replace it on our own. I'm understand mistakes happen and there will be some bad eggs. Unfortunately we were left with broken stuff, scratched up floors and no resolution.

Crew was punctual and they started out carefully wrapping furniture, but quickly took shortcuts. Furniture was dropped, not protected. We used this company last year and had a wonderful experience, but this turned out to be a disaster. Corners of drawers were broken off, furniture legs cracked and damaged, not just surface scratches. The company did correct things by sending out a furniture restoration specialist for free (spent the entire day repairing), so I wouldn't grade them an "F", but it's not worth the hassles. Pay a little more for a company that does it right during the move.

They did a great job. The drivers and crew were excellent. Nothing was damaged. I would highly recommend them. The price listed is for both moves.

Crew leader called to see if they could start an hour early, which was fine with us. We had reserved two guys, but three workers came along (for no extra charge). Packing the old house to the truck went fine, but was a little slow at times. There were some minor issues with moving out some of the office furniture, and one wall was scraped during that process. Moving into the new house was a little slower due to having an upstairs and narrower doorways. Once again, it seemed that the workers slowed down a bit to a leisurely pace and I had to actually help them to move things along. They did drag our king-size mattress through the yard, getting some grass stains on it. Otherwise, nothing was broken or scratched. I was contacted within two days of the move to have the scraped wall fixed.
Description of Work: Moving large heavy/bulky items from former home in Noblesville to new home in Carmel. Included couch/loveseat, dresser, chest of drawers, queen and king size mattresses/box springs, office furniture. Most everything was disassembled where needed beforehand.

I was very unimpressed. Nearly every piece of furniture I owned was scratched or damaged in some way, including an antique, hand carved, foot board and head board. One of the movers handled my items very poorly, and I had to remind him twice that the walls in my new home were freshly painted, and I have several walls that will need patching because of his carelessness. Upon finishing the job, it was 5 minutes after the hour, and they charged me for a quarter of hour. The guys also asked for lunch at 9:45AM, after they had been there for and hour and a half. What happened to eating breakfast? They were very overpriced for the quality of work, and really did not want to take any responsibility for the damages they caused. They found some way to put it back on me. I have moved across the country twice, and this was the worse, and most property damaging move I have ever experienced. I am unimpressed.

WORST NIGHTMARE EVER. I WAS ALREADY STRESSED WITH THE MOVE, AND THIS MADE IT 10 TIMES WORSE. FIRST, 2 "MEN" SHOWED UP IN A RENTED ENTERPRISE TRUCK, THEREFORE THEY HAD NO EQUIPMENT (DOLLY, WRAP, ETC...). THEY WALKED IN AND SAW MY BOXES AND BOTH OF THEM SAID "*EXPLETIVE*". ONE OF THE GUYS MADE A BIT OF AN EFFORT TO MOVE, WHILE THE OTHER ONE STOOD AROUND COMPLAINING ABOUT HOW SORE HE WAS AND HOW HE HADN'T WORKED IN OVER A YEAR. IN FACT, AFTER MOVING A FEW BOXES HE WENT TO THE TRUCK AND TOOK A BREAK. I PHONED KELLY AND TOLD HER WHAT WAS GOING ON. SHE APOLOGIZED AND SAID SHE WOULD SEND OUT A MANAGER. THE GUY WHO SHOWED UP, RYAN, KICKED BUTT. HE SENT THE OTHER 2 GUYS HOME AND HE PACKED ALL OF MY STUFF ON THE TRUCK BY HIMSELF. THE FIRST GUYS ARRIVED AT 4:00 (MY APPT WAS AT 1:00), AND RYAN (WHO TURNED OUT NOT TO BE A MANAGER) FINISHED AFTER MIDNIGHT. THE FRONT DOOR WAS OPEN THE WHOLE TIME WITH FREEZING TEMPS. IT WAS MISERABLE. BUT RYAN WAS GREAT AND CHARGED ME FOR THE 2.5 HRS QUOTE.
Description of Work: I HIRED TWO MEN AND A TRUCK TO MOVE ALL OF MY BELONGINGS FROM MY ONE-BEDROOM APARTMENT ONTO A TRUCK I RENTED TO MOVE ACROSS THE COUNTRY. KELLY GAVE ME A QUOTE OVER THE PHONE AND SAID THERE WAS NO NEED FOR ANYONE TO COME OUT AND LOOK AT MY STUFF UNLESS I REALLY WANTED THEM TO. ESTIMATED TIME WAS 2.5 HOURS.

We moved the member. She did have a lot of stuff to fit in her rental truck that she had. It did take us a longer amount of time to fit her belongings into the truck. But we only charged for the amount estimated. I feel we took care of her and fit everything and didn't charge her any extra. I'm not sure what we could have done more. -Matt Tatroe, Manager.

The overall experience was very frustrating. When the men arrived at the apartment, they stated "we were not told we'd have to pack". This is absolutely not true as I had verified with the scheduler that all rooms were to be properly packed and to also include two wardrobe boxes for hanging clothes. The men were definitely not happy and continued to tell me that they "would get in trouble by their boss for not following scheduler's instructions". The main guy went so far as to suggest he might be placed on unpaid leave. This was not my fault as all my discussions with the scheduler were verified. However, I do want to state that all items were delivered to the new house undamaged. I applaud them for their good packing skills.

They arrived on time and worked very efficiently and seemingly effortlessly. They got all the items we wanted loaded so quickly that they asked if they could move other things as well which was nice. Most of all, we were happy that we weren't having to move the stuff!

I was extremely disappointed that the quote was so far off. He estimated it would cost $1700 and it ended up being $600 more! Plus, we sold all the furniture I indicated. The movers were friendly and neat in appearance, although one of the movers had a bad attitude. I ended up with five pieces of furniture being damaged and the ceiling needing to be repaired. One piece was a dining room chair where the whole leg came off. The guy with the bad attitude tried to fix it in the truck, though I did not realize what he was doing until the next day when I went to move the chair and the whole leg came off. They should have owned up to this damage immediately. The person handling the claim has been excellent to deal with and they have agreed to pay for all of the damage. Lastly, while unloading, someone stopped by and asked them to move something on the side. This was negotiated on my dime. Three guys were involved and it took 15 minutes. They should have deducted that time from my bill.
Description of Work: They moved our furnishings from a two-story, with basement, four-bedroom home from Fishers to the East side of Carmel. There were 6 guys that handled the move. I chose them based on the feedback I read from Angie's List and in terms of quotes, they were in the middle. I planned to sell some of the furniture before the move so I asked for an estimate based on everything and then another one based on if I sold the items. The person that came out was very friendly and professional, and ended up quoting an hourly rate because of the uncertainty of how much there would be to move and also provided an estimate of how many hours it would take with six men. I have some pretty heavy furniture so I made sure I had a cooler of ice water for them the whole day and paid for their lunch in addition to tipping everyone $20 each.

Arrived on time however I was expecting to be charged for travel from their westside office which is 5 mins from my house and ended up paying over 1.3 hours for travel from Noblesville. Derrick and Jo busted their rear ends working right from the get go. Two of the 3 men I hired were excellent workers. I had some heavy BR and LV furn so Derrick and Jo busted their rear ends. They did a GREAT job maneuvering everything (no scrapes or nicks on the furniture or walls). The stairs were a killer and it 80 degrees in Oct? Only one fatality that I've uncovered as of yet, and that happened during transit. 2 Men said they would repair. Brian (supv) came at the end to make sure I was satisfied with service. I had trouble getting the contractor, appointed to fix my table, to contact me. In the end 2 Men did pay me an acceptable amount for damages.

This was a great move. Two young men arrived (sorry, can't remember their names) on time and ready to work. They had my apartment packed within 45 minutes. They worked hard and kept moving. They were polite and courteous. Very careful with my belongings. My move only took 2.5 hours thanks to their hard work.

One of the men had mud on his shoes and walked down our carpeted stairs. As they were moving our drop leaf desk, they ended up damaging the desk (scratching it on the side). There are also white paint splotches on top of the desk from the white door trim. It looks like they scraped part of the trim in our newly finished bonus room. I have contacted Brian and Jessica. Brian and Jessica said that they would take care of it. These guys should have known better. They didn't cover the desk with a pad to try to protect the desk. This price was to move one piece of furniture which took less than an hour.

Total cost was less than estimated and the guys were helpful and very nice. But somehow from talking to the estimator to the arrival of the guys, my request for packing materials and assistance was lost. We used the boxes I had on hand and we were very creative packing up what remained of my stuff. But I had not expected to do the packing. And I was eventually compensated for the few things damaged, all minor, but the paperwork was lost for a couple weeks.

Workers arrived on time, were very professional and pleasant. Worked at a steady pace. Supervisor made a short visit to ask if everything was OK. There was no damage. Final bill was within their estimate. Letter sent before move explaining their fees and what to expect was good. Person in office handled several minor changes prior to the move with dispatch.

We were given a 1 hour window as to when they would start and they were there right at the beginning of the time frame given. They were two very nice, polite young men. We had obtained prices from 2 other movers on Angie's list but this company was as much as $30 an hour cheaper. They went over the estimated time given to us over the phone by 1/2 hour. But we thought, considering having to take two items out of an upstairs window and down over the roof, that this was totally understandable. Besides obtaining their name from Angie's list, they were recommended to us by several people, including the superintendent on the building of our new home. He said many people in our area had used Two Men and A Truck and were happy with the experience. At the end they told us that we were very enjoyable to work for and I said 'I'll bet you say that to all of your customers''. In unison, they both assured us that was not the case.
Description of Work: We had moved most smaller objects and boxed items. We needed them to move the furniture and other larger items. We were moving out of an old farmhouse, built in 1896 so the stairs were steep, narrow and not much room to navigate at the bottom of the stairs. We ended up taking a window out of an upstairs bedroom to take out two mattresses. They had a good sense of humor about this and were very patient.

They did an awesome job on the first move - really hustled and everything went great. They did have another job after mine on that day. The second move was an all day job (no other moves after mine). It didn't go as well. They didn't seem to work quite as quickly, they had left the key to the back of the truck at the office and we had to wait an hour for someone to bring the key down. They did apologize and didn't charge me for that hour, but they also didn't offer to do anything to compensate for my hour that I spent just waiting for someone to bring a key. I'm pretty sure if I cost them an hour of their time, i would've had to pay for it, but they didn't offer any kind of compensation for my extra hour. Very disappointed in the second move.
Description of Work: I got married and had 2 separate moves - the first moved some of my furniture to my husband's house, the second moved the rest of my things into a storage locker. The first move was a half day, the second move was all day.
