After the cleaning, the carpet looks almost new, and I believe my carpet is at least 15 years old. I had previously hired a company which uses a chemical(dry) cleaning process when having the carpet cleaned a few years ago. However Smith-Mathis uses a steam cleaning process. The steam cleaning process is far superior for removing dirt, grime and stains from the carpet.

My daughter was sick on our one month old, very light carpeting. To make matters worse, she had eaten tomato soup! No matter what I did to the carpet, I was making it worse. I called the company and they were able to be at our house in hours, in spite of bad weather. The man who came to our house was very polite. He arrived on time and worked quickly and efficiently. I wanted to hug him when he got the stain out! He was also willing to clean an area rug for ten dollars even though I hadn't mentioned it when I called for the appointment.

They came and picked it up and delivered it when it was done. My only issue was that I had to call to find out if it was done, nobody called me. But work was good, people were friendly.

Arrived on time, on a holiday weekend, about one hour after we called. Explained cost and job. Started job. Brought appropriate equipment. Removed fans when asked, even though it was New Years Eve afternoon.

I used this company because they were on a list of companies with A ratings on Angie's List. All in all, they arrived on time, the young man was pleasant and got right to work. I didn't think the cleaning held up as well as I anticipated, but they do a regular cleaning rather than a chem-dry. I can't say that I was disappointed, the price was reasonable.

They sent a representative to do the estimate for both locations. We set a date for the tech to do the work who was very polite. They made recommendations on how to handle some spots that were on the carpet. The service was very nice and we were happy with them.

It went very well. They sent one person and I was amazed that he could do the job himself. He also was very punctual...actually he was even a few minutes early and was waiting in the car to come in at the appointed time. I liked that as I thought it was very respectful of him. He stretched the 2 carpets for me and cleaned the 2 rooms I requested. Only one of the rooms I requested to be cleaned had the carpet stretched. I actually had the carpet stretched in the 2nd room but didn't think to ask for that section of stretched carpet to be cleaned. But, he also cleaned the section of carpet in the other room that was stretched. This was very helpful as it removed the shadow from the previous fold that was in the carpet. All in all, I believe this to be a great job, and would hire this company again.

They did such a wonderful job and got up all the nasty spots. I had some really bad areas, and you can't even tell they were there.
