We hired Smith-Mathis, Inc. to clean our area rug and re-stretch (and steam clean) the wall-to-wall carpet in our family room. Jeff, who was both prompt and courteous, gave us an estimate. He was thorough in his explanation of what would be accomplished and explained the limitations of re-stretching older carpet. Dave, our technician, was right on time for our appointment. His work was amazing! All of the bumps (he called them ?speed bumps?) were removed. The carpeting look like it has never been used. We are EXTREMELY satisfied with both his workmanship and thoroughness. We can unreservedly recommend Smith-Mathis for the quality work they did for us!

Used them numerous times before - they always do a good job...always show up on date and time promised.....always do their best to clean carpet.

Our service technician, Tim, was outstanding! He worked meticulously on our carpets and went back over some spots he wasn't pleased with. This is the second time we have used this company and have scheduled a spring appt.

Our overall experience was excellent. The employee who came to our home was named Tim and he did an outstanding job. We had 3 problem spots that popped up the following day due to old stains being pulled out of the carpet. Tim followed up with 2 visits to our home making sure these spots were eliminated. We would not hesitate to use this company again.

We were out of town, so I dealt with someone over the phone. They were very professional. They were professionally dressed, offered a lot of ideas, compassionate and just first class all the way. We really enjoyed working with this company. We had a problem that was hard to solve so the owner came out to off his advice. The technicians were very good as well!

Everything went perfect. We called in the morning to get on their list, knowing they would be busy from the heavy rains. They were able to make it out that day to do the water extraction and set the fans. Two days later they came back, cleaned the carpet and put everything back together. Awesome job. We really appreciate their efforts and professionalism. I also thought the price was very reasonable-- I didn't call around to compare because we have used them in the past and knew it would be done right, however, for the services they provided along with equipement and two trips to my house, I felt the cost was very reasonable.

Pat Murray arrived on time and was thorough in his explanation of what he was going to do. His work was high quality and professional, and he gave me tips on how to avoid some of the bleached spots on my carpet from do-it-yourself spot cleaning. I would highly recommend him and the company to anyone.

I have always used them. They have been consistently good. The last time I used them, I paid about $220 for their services. I like them because they are very professional and prompt. Their workers are very pleasant and they do a good job. I will use them again in the future.

The tech arrived on time; cleaned carpet; offered suggestions on how to maintain carpeting in good condition. The tech was knowledgeable about products used.

My dog had gotten sick in my apartment on Thursday and I was in need of immediate carpet cleaning. I called one company and they quoted me at over $200 due to the fact that I wasn't located on the first floor. I thought this was extremely high and called Smith Mathis for a second quote. They quoted me at $.26 per square foot and no extra charge for having to use a portable cleaning system. I was able to schedule them immediately (they came out Friday morning), finished within two hours, and my carpets look better than they did when I moved in. This is a GREAT company. No bells and whistles, no pressure to get special products on your carpet, just good honest work. I will definitely use these guys again.

I have used many carpet cleaners over the years. I had just accepted that my carpets were not going to look great. I've even had to call companies to come back just to get the carpets to look acceptable. Of course they charged me for that service. Okay, now let's talk about Smith-Mathis. To start with they came out and gave me a free estimate so I knew from the start exactly how much it would cost me. Pretreating was included in the price, no add ons for every little spot. They spent twice as long cleaning the carpets as any other company ever has. It showed! I have NO spots left (and that includes some coffee and Coke stains)! They even got out spots that other companies have left! My carpets have never looked so good! I have found my permanent carpet cleaners!

I was impressed with their presentation. The gentleman that came was very professional. He recommended that I buy new carpet rather than have it stretched and cleaned. I was impressed because he turned down a job he could have done and suggested me do a service that was not offered by his company. I was impressed with his honesty.

This was a carpet cleaning as part of a move out. Excellent job. Careful and thorough work. Actually, the person who was supposed to do the cleaning called in sick that morning and they were able to get another technician out rather quickly, so that the delay was minimal.

I took advantage of an Angie's List Big Deal. It was activated the same day and I immediately called the company to schedule the appointment. The woman I spoke to was very knowledgable, courteous, and professional. The appointment was scheduled for 2 weeks (mostly to accommodate my schedule) out. A gentleman arrived right on schedule and was done within a couple hours. He was also courteous and professional. The floor looks fabulous. It's noticeably improved appearance is commented on by those who come into our house.
