Gene and his crew did an outstanding job. I was very impressed with the attention to detail and workmanship performed, the superior materials used in the remodel of the shower system and the cleanliness accomplishled at the job site from start to finish. My master bathroom was completely transformed when the job was completed. Overall, it took about 2 weeks to complete the work and at each stage of the construction I was able to see the quality of the work being accomplshed. Mike (who works for Gene) did an outstanding job and I would highly recommned their servcies. I am so pleased with their efforts, I intend to have them do my kitchen, entranceway and half bath flooring.

Gene did a phenomenal job of helping me to design the backsplash. The actual installation was performed by Mike and he was both professional and courteous. I am extremely pleased with the result!!

Very prompt, work described in detail, blow by blow so to speak. Target dates were all met. Price on completion was actually less than estimated.

The contacted jobs came in three phases. 1. Porch roof repair 2. Multi-room (6 rooms) miscellaneous door, window, lighting, repairs and maintenance. 3. Kitchen renovation The roof repair was relatively minor and completed in two days in early July The multi-room projects were spread over a two week period in late July, begun a week or so beyond planned schedule. The kitchen renovation started on September 26th, a week later than planned start on the 19th. All major installations were in after one week. Odds and ends to be addressed were done the following week to full satisfaction. All tradesmen as well as Cathedral Granite and appliance dealer HHGregg involved were most courteous and competent. Contractor Gene Snodgrass is to be commended for the complex scheduling and overseeing of all phases of the job. His suggestions prior to and during the various activities were invaluable. Several years earlier Indiana Renovations had done a complete bathroom renovation for us. We were a returning satisfied customer.

This was a relatively small job, and we were glad Gene was able to fit us in. We tried to save a little money by doing a lot of the tear-out work ourselves (floor and wall tile, sink, countertop and taps, toilet, wallboard under wall tile). Although we were a little disappointed in the plaster job (I had to spackle and sand several spots several times over a few days), the rest of the job's quality was excellent. The sub-floor needed a little more work than we had hoped, and we merrily picked out more expensive taps and countertop than the original estimate allowed for, putting up the total price more than desired, but that was our fault rather than Gene's - we should have been monitoring costs against the allowance in the estimate. (We probably would have been just as happy with a quartz counter top from Lowe's instead of the granite from a granite place.) But we were really happy with the final product, and any decisions Gene steered us towards during the install proved to be good ones. The individual that laid the tile did an excellent job. The final price was around $1100 (30%) more than the original estimate, but again this was due to unexpected problems with the sub-floor and due to our choosing more expensive countertop and faucets.

I called nine different places without success. No one was willing to take on such a small job. However, when I called Indiana Renovations, I received a call back within 24 hours and they had someone at my home within 2 days. The work was done quickly and with quality. Steps were taken to keep dust to a minimum and clean-up was done afterwards. Knowledge and skill level to properly cut Travertine tile was very impressive. Overall, it went well. Think everything was neatly done and I was satisfied.

The work was excellent. They were very professional and nice. Any problems we did have, they fixed quickly. We entrusted them with our home, by having a lock on the door where they could come and go as they pleased. They would let my dogs out of their kennels and play with them while they were at my home. Also, they were very helpful with picking out choices throughout the house, since we are not designers. Overall, they were a great company and we will be using them again in the future.

The results are excellent. The installers were outstanding for their skill, attention to detail, and good humor throughout the eight-day process. We were consulted whenever there was any question of what to do. I think that the price is completely appropriate. The work could have been done for less, but probably not nearly as well.

The job went great! Kyle, who works for Gene installed all the tile and did a great job. Workmanship was great, Kyle was courteous and patient with our inquisitive 4 year old, was punctual and followed through with all details. Price was a little higher than others, but still reasonable and well worth it. Absolutely recommend.

I am sure that Gene and his staff would do a great job. Their estimate was in line with the others we got. It was a hard decision to make. The only reason we didn't go with Gene is that a friend went with the other company and was very satisfied with them. I think Gene would do great. He had some ideas that no one else had thought of and really seemed to know his stuff. We would definitely consider using him in the future.

Overall the project went GREAT!! ALL of the guys were very conscientious about our home and trying to keep things as clean as possible! They were very meticulous about their work! A job well done!

quote was provided and work scheduled. Tile installed and 2 days later installer returned to grout the tile, allowing ample time for mastic to dry. Installer worked slowly and carefully throughout process to assure quality. Obviously had many years of experience.

The work was excellent and the room looks great. Some minor problems which are always expected and corrected on the spot. Price was not unreasonable but in my opinion could have been better. Maybe better efficiency is sacrificed for very high quality work. I think and could be wrong labor is a little high but partially offset by reasonable material allowances. In the end price was good.

It was fine work. I was perfectly happy. They did a good job, were reasonably priced and were friendly.

Gene and his crew did excellent work even resolving unplanned complications with the plumbing at no additional cost. His ideas, suggestions, and his design & final built out of the interior of the bath room exceeded our expectations. His price was somewhat higher than other bids received but in the end the quality of the work was well worth it to us. The job is about 95% complete since he will have to come back to install the final fixtures after the electrical work is complete & the drywall installed. We do not expect any issues based on what he has done so far. We are so satisfied with his work we are discussing his doing the finish tile work in the bath room. We would highly recommend Indiana Renovations to other members for plumbing or remodel jobs.

Working with Indiana Renovations was a terrific experience. Gene Snodgrass was always upfront with the costs by providing a very detailed quote with materials and labor itemized. The enabled a full understanding of the costs and impact of decisions we had to make on the design and materials. The Indiana Renovations crew were professional, friendly, and fully cleaned up their work area every day. I was able to keep in contact with Gene daily easily through phone or e-mail and his responses were always very prompt. The craftsmanship and quality were excellent and we were very pleased with the results. When unexpected issues arose during the job, Gene layed out the options and we were able to arrive at a good resolution. Gene was very good at suggesting lower cost options for materials and design. As we visited several suppliers of bathroom fixtures, tile, granite, etc. to make selections, whenever we mentioned Gene Snodgrass as our contractor, we always received an extremely positive response. You want your contractor to have a good reputation with those that you'll be working, as they will go the extra mile for you.

I was thumbing through the Angie's List publication of Quality and Design. To my dismay, on the front inside cover I saw an advertisement for Indiana Renovation that had a photo of MY KITCHEN. This photo looks like it showcases the granite counters which Mr. Snodgrass and his company Indiana Renovations did not have any part of! The credit goes to Cathedral Marble & Granite, Inc. Mr. Snodgrass was so difficult to work with. He was rude, and it was a fight to get him to take responsibility for several problems that arose out of his job. While taking out the old counters, his workers put a gash in our cabinet, which he denied. The soap dispenser had a small problem that he eventually fixed, but it was a struggle to get it done. Mr. Snodgrass's plumber installed the gargabe disposal but forgot to punch a little piece through that allows water to reach my dishwasher. I ran the dishwasher through 2 cycles and thought it was broken because the dishes were not getting clean. My dishwasher motor had been running with NO water. I don't know if it had anything to do with the lack of water it received for those 2 loads but it has given me problems ever since. The greatest degree of inferior quality was fixing the column connected to the counter. We knew the granite would be a little lower than the exitsting countertops. We needed wood pieces to surround the column that would match the integrity of the column. It was laughable. It looked like Lincoln Log blocks were placed around it! Mr. Snodgrass said he thought it looked fine. It was so bad that even the granite company laughed. They said they would come up with something that would fit in with the kitchen and they did it for FREE. Mr. Snodgrass was supposed to send someone over to fix the gash but he never showed up. I finally took $100.00 (although it should have been more) off the final payment and never heard from him again. I will say that the guy he hired to install the tile was a very nice man and did a good job. However, you can't see the tile in the photo of my kitchen he placed in the ad. If he would have backed the picture up just a little, you would have been able to see his Lincoln Logs he placed around the column. I had great relationships with every other company I used in this project except Indiana Renovations. I loved the artists who painted the ceiling, the painters that painted the walls, and the granite company. Basically, if you use Mr. Snodgrass, you pay him to hire others to do the work and then he's done!

Gene had to decline the opportunity to work with us as he felt it was a conflict of interest with another group we had preparing an estimate, for which he does subcontract work. Gene was great with ideas and willing to listen. I told him thank you for being direct and that we would consider him in the future.
