The whole process went smoothly. Ideas, led to visiting providers, Economy Plumbing-Jennifer was especially helpful, cabinets, granite counters, painting, tearing out tiles, an old stall shower, very large spa tub, and putting in a zero threshold shower with all the safety features for older folks, a smaller tub, heated floors. Gene’s crew were pleasant, professional and easy to have underfoot. Only glitch was the length of time it took to get the new glass shower doors but they arrived eventually and everything looks great!

The design and quote process was totally professional and transparent. This provider was by far the best we have ever worked with on a home remodel project. The quote broke down all material and labor for each step of the remodel. There was complete assurance the overall pricing was fair and competitive due to this comprehensive transparency. This provider stands out as an extraordinary example of how remodelers should perform. Plus the skill of the workers was as outstanding as the project management/customer service.

Gene Snodgrass, owner of Indiana Renovations, and Dick Wilson of ADS Cabinets and their crews did an excellent job. We could not have asked for more professional and attentive contractors.

Work was on schedule. I chose bathroom shower, vanity, tile, etc. at retail stores contractor works with. Process was streamlined this way. Contractor was responsive to emails and work was scheduled when we were on vacation. Excellent experience!

After months of researching and meeting with numerous contractors, we selected Indiana Renovations Inc to complete our remodeling. This selection was made based on the attention to detail, high quality work, and integrity of the owner, Gene Snodgrass. These qualities were evident through the process!!! We are extremely happy with results of the work!! Gene and Wyatt guided us through the process and ensured we were satisfied and pleased with the work at every step. Gene was mindful of our budget and helped us stay on track in spite of a few unforeseen challenges along the way. The quality of the work is outstanding! First step was design. Gene is the owner and had the best ideas. He was willing to go the extra mile to assess and determine how to remove a load bearing wall to totally open up our kitchen to the rest of the downstairs. Others told us it was not worth the trouble and did not seem interested. I'm so glad we found Gene since his approach totally achieved what we hoped could be done. Next step was the bid. Indiana Renovations not only had the best design but also the best price. Last was the construction. Gene's team was a pleasure to have in our house. The work was high quality and they were happy to answer questions through every step. They did great work and finished the job in schedule.

Everything they did was above and beyond. Kept things clean. They did a very good job.

I'm very disappointed. I paid nearly $11,000 for a bathroom remodel that "I can live with." I had them install floor tile, build a new shower, replace a toilet, and tile the new shower. The majority of the grout lines are not straight. I had Gene, the owner, out to talk about it, and he said it was because the walls were not straight. This includes the wall that Indiana Renovations built for me. They do not stand behind their work. Indiana Renovations at least completed the job, which I guess is something. If you're looking for a company that takes pride in their work and pays attention to detail, though, you should not choose this company. $11,000 is a lot of money for something you can live with. DO NOT HIRE Indiana Renovations.

Gene Snodgrass was very helpful in suggesting ideas. Bathroom job was 3 weeks over estimate and kitchen was 1.5 weeks over est. workers were very considerate in kitchen installation to create as little disruption as possible. Very pleased with end result. Gene was meticulous in punch list.

We discussed our options with Gene and aligned on a plan that involved taking out all existing bath, shower, toilet, vanity fittings and rebuilding from scratch, including removing some of the inside walls between the amenities. Job was planned well and progress was steady. Gene was responsive to our requests and adjustments as things developed. Shower, bath were replumbed, toilet moved, vanity counter installed. Shower and floor tiling were excellent and great care was taken by his team on getting everything just right. Overall results, including the painting and staining (sub-contracted) were excellent.

I contacted a couple of firms on Angie’s List to renovate our kitchen backsplash. Gene from Indiana Renovations responded quickly and I was pleased to meet him as he came out to do an initial estimate. He took some time to measure the job, and I could tell he was already formulating how he would set the subway tile to do the job. He took additional time to listen carefully to my ideas and then proposed some additional ideas (which I adopted) about the job. The job included finesse work; wall repair around a large replaced kitchen window and a lot of piece-work around that window. Shortly after I accepted their proposal, Gene sent Keith out to do the job and met him here at my house. They discussed the job on-site and Keith proceeded to implement the plan. Keith was meticulous! He took great care in all aspects of the job and he proposed additional work that would top off the kitchen renovation. My wife and I are so pleased with the way that Indiana Renovations made the job flawless. I would highly recommend Indiana Renovations for any tile-work and will not hesitate to call them to do additional renovation projects in the future.

We chose Indiana Renovations and Gene Snodgrass over other providers because we really felt based on his examples of work, overall experience, and great reviews that he would add an extra level of expertise we needed when considering how to re-do our bathroom shower and refreshing other areas. Other companies we looked at felt more like we would be hiring just laborers and we would have to pick everything out ourselves. We are so happy we made the decision we did - because there were multiple instances where Gene's recommendations were absolutely spot on and we would have never thought to consider it without him. This in particular came in handy when we were thinking about the tile - his attention to detail was phenomenal in that process. He used a subcontractor for the ceiling drywall work and also had a subcontractor for painting we needed to do. We opted to go with another painter we had picked on our own and that was not an issue. We had a few communication issues with the drywall company, but Gene stepped in for us and helped resolve the issue in a very professional and fair manner. If I had it to do all over again, the only thing I would have maybe done differently would be to ask for a sit down before work started to go over a few details and timelines. So much time had passed since some of the early meetings, I had forgotten about a few items and it would have been good to all be on the same page. Probably would have cut down on the during project questions that popped up a few times. Communication is a two way street, so some of that is on us I know. We have done a lot of work to our house, but this was by far the most involved and expensive overhaul we have taken on. I would absolutely recommend Gene and Indiana Renovations for anyone looking to have a kitchen or bathroom project completed. The workmanship was fantastic. I also cannot say enough about how nice of a man Gene is personally. We took on this project as part of a refinance of our home. The re-fi process was extremely slow and frustrating, but Gene was understanding and very patient with us. At times I felt like we might have been a little high maintenance with our questions, but Gene was always very gracious and helpful with talking through things with us. Very happy with our choice of Indiana Renovations and would strongly recommend.

Gene and Indiana Renovations Inc. were recommended to us by Economy plumbing and the HomeStyle showrooms. I cannot say enough about how well the project went. The work began on schedule with all cabinets and materials delivered and ready for installation. Michael was responsible for the majority of the work. He arrived at 8:00 a.m. every day and put in a full day's work. Both he and Ryan were meticulous with their installations. One of the cabinet doors was an eighth of an inch different in height. They reordered the door without me having to notice or ask. Each day they left the work area clean and swiffered at the end of the day. All subcontractors involved were professional, friendly, and easy to work with. All work was completed within a few days of the targeted end date. This remodel absolutely went like clockwork. The only thing that would have been helpful would have been a general timeline as to what subcontractors where scheduled and on what day. Our kitchen is beautiful. I am so glad we decided on Indiana Renovations Inc. I highly recommend them and would definitely use them again.

The workers were efficient, diligent, personable, competent, and took pride in their work. The problems that arose largely involved communication or the lack thereof. The job was complicated by the discovery of mold in the bathroom walls, which had to be remedied at the cost of about fifty percent over the original contract. No complaints there; it had to be done and was done well. However, this lengthened the project from seven working days to about three weeks. As the job progressed, we would not be informed that workers would not be there on particular days or when they would return. I can understand that with the added complication of mold, a contractor has to juggle multiple jobs, but this would have been easier to work with if the contractor had made a point of letting us know what would happen and when. The work was finally completed, minus the final walk-through, just before we were to leave for a month in Canada. We did the final walk-through when we got back, and there were several small matters that had to be attended to. These were largely done quickly and well. The major problem was the staining of trim and the new door. The colors did not match other trim or wood in the bathroom, and in places the stain was blotchy. This was largely corrected, although the colors still aren't consistent, but we've decided to live with that. Better, more consistent and attentive communication would have eliminated most of these sources of irritation in an otherwise well executed repair and remodel. The costs were reasonable.

Gene and I met and we discussed the scope of the work. He expressed interest and said he would provide an estimate. I never heard from Gene again,.

Everything was smooth. It did take longer for the shower doors to be completed because we special ordered partially fogged custom glass. Gene and his crew were professional and knowledgable about their work. We would use them again and would recommend them to others. The workmanship on the shower is of very high quality!

Everything turned out fine and they did a good job. They had very good workers and were very professional.

Everything went excellently. The communication was good. Gene was always available, even on the weekneds. The process went very well. We would definitley use them again and would reccomend them for other people to use.

Our experience with Gene Snodgrass was excellent. This is the second time we used his services. The workers were very skilled and sensitive to our needs and wants. A couple of things needed attention after the job was complete, and they were taken care of the day after we called. Can not more highly recommend Gene and his workers.

Gene Snodgrass, the owner of IN Renovations, provided us with an estimate on 5/12. Upon acceptance on 5/16, we went to Cathedral Granite in Whitestown to select our countertops. We then went to Miles Distributors to select our backsplash tile. Both providers were knowledgeable and helpful for us "newbies" in making our selections. Lastly, we went to Ferguson's to select our appliances and cabinet hardware. We are satisfied with our new appliances but found the Ferguson showroom to have virtually nothing that we wanted on display. We selected all of our appliances from a catalog on-site. On June 26 Keith Jackson, who was our assigned employee for almost everything for our update, and Dave arrived and began removing wallpaper on a time and materials basis. Keith did a great job but it took quite some time. After the wallpaper removal, the walls were skim-coated and Short's painters painted the walls (after the skim-coating was sanded smooth). The new countertops were installed during the week of June 30. Keith then finished the installation of the new sink, faucet and garbage disposal. The trash compactor was removed and the new slide-out waste basket was installed. IN Renovations had a subcontractor build the cabinet to house the waste-basket; their construction and staining perfectly matched our existing cabinetry. The removal of our old appliances and the installation of the new were accomplished relatively easily except for the refrigerator. Its size proved difficult for Keith and fellow-employee James to bring into the house. Our old refrigerator fit nicely in an area framed by various cabinets. However, because the new refrigerator was significantly taller, we had determined in advance that a smaller cabinet from above the sink had to be switched with the cabinet above the refrigerator. Finally, the existing ceramic tile needed to be removed from our L shaped backsplash area and a new backsplash installed. Keith did a great job including a rectangular area above the sink which differed from the rest of the backsplash. In addition, the backsplash for the 90 degree "fold" in the wall was masterfully fitted by Keith so that each brick on one side of the fold matched its counterpart on the other side of the fold. Keith also did a superb job in caulking the area between the new granite countertop and the new backsplash. Keith came back and enhanced and sealed the backsplash and grouting and finished on July 9.
