Description of Work: Novice class training. I LOVE first friend k9. I have used them in the past for in kennel training, and was very pleased with that experience as well. I was having major behavioral issues with my puppy, and now I can take her out in public or to family and friends houses. She is very well behaved and I know how to correct her. Highly recommend this training facility. Bruce and the staff go out of their way to have a good experience with your dog!

Description of Work: This was a gift for my daughter. The dog she adopted had some major behavioral issues that made it unpleasant to go over and visit. He would jump on people, bite, would not obey simple commands, etc. When he returned from the obedience training, he was a changed dog. He is doing much better now and obeys our commands.

Description of Work: Bruce and staff are wonderful. Our puppy is so well behaved for being not even five months old. We are effectively learning how to properly communicate with our puppy, and our puppy is learning basic commands. We will definitely be signing up for the novice class. We are positive we will see our puppy turn into a wonderful dog.

Description of Work: I purchase quality German Shepherds from 1st Friend, and I train and have the dog trained by 1st Friend. I use 1st Friend for boarding and for grooming as well. 1st Friend is totally dedicated to providing the best possible service to its customers, and 1st Friend is totally committed to promoting responsible dog ownership to their customers. They are my recommended "one stop shopping" dog facility, and I recommend them to everyone. Job well done!

Description of Work: We participated in a training class with ourdog. Nearly every dog owner was asked to buy a spiked training collar at some point in the 6 week class 'due to the breed'. It was not necessary for the dogs as much as it was convienient for the trainer. Ive trained dogs at other facilities and shown dogs for years. My experiences elsewhere were much better. I was dissappointed because ny husband really needed to learn how to work with our dog. What he learned was to grab a spike collar instead

Description of Work: Bruce and his staff are excellent! I used FIRST FRIENDS K 9 for day care for my puppy a couple days a week. The staff is always friendly and extremely helpful. They have always been able to answer any questions that I have had, and they take the time to sit with you individually. We decided to also take the “puppy kindergarten” class for obedience training for our American Bulldog. I encourage anyone with a new puppy to go through this class! My puppy is well behaved and will respond to commands. We were also taught how to care for our new dog (bathing, cleaning ears, cutting nails, walking with a leash, brushing, brushing teeth). We plan on taking the next (novice) training class for our pup..
